I wish you were right, Curious, in JA being scared but I just can't see it. She is in another world. She is SO confident of her ability to convince anyone to see things her way. I think that right now, instead of being scared, she is sure that she will be able to do a much better job than her attorneys did in the guilt phase. I kind of even wonder if she thinks she can somehow change the verdict. As much as I would hate to be inside her head and hear her thoughts, I sort of would like to anyway!

Get frontline YoYo. I use it on all my dogs and it works.

Kensie, Frontline doesn't work well on my large dog so I use Advantage.

I am infested here with fleas and will have to get more drops, bomb the house and do the yard. We had a lot of rain recently and they are everywhere.

My Thanks button has disappeared…. I can't thank anyone's posts. Not on this thread at least. I'll head off and see if it's gone everywhere. Have I been too thankful? Am I being reprimanded? LOL. The Thank Police have arrested me!

Don't waste your money on any Hartz products, or the flea drops Walmart sells.. They do not work!

Wow, glad you have something that works. Weird, advantage did not work on my dogs. Makes me wonder if different regions have different type of fleas.

I agree Daisy.

Apparently Frontline works great but not on larger dogs. That's my experience. :)

YoYo get Frontline Plus and Advantage. If one does not work, use the other one. Can't have your dog itching like crazy or you.

And what is that? and where do you get it?

I used something called Hartz UltraGuard.

In 2007 we had a very wet year. It rained almost everyday and everyone had a terrible time with fleas and mosquito's. You couldn't spray your yard to kill either of them, and you spent all your time swatting and scratching. But we have the most beautiful green grass.

Petco (and I'm sure Petsmart carries it also. might check walmart also) has several you can try. We've always got our flea meds from our vet because they weren't available in retail stores, like many are now. They also carrya spray you can use on carpets and furniture.

We've been using Revolution this year and it works pretty good. It works for both fleas and heartworms.

I don't know if you have to have a prescription for some of these. I know this will really gross you out, but a flea comb works well. It's just like brushing, you'll just have dead and live fleas and flea eggs in the tines. As I comb I put them in a ziploc bag and throw it away when I'm done.

We use Frontline Plus, too. It is available at most vet offices , pet stores, probably Walmart, etc. Kensie, was it really cheaper at pet meds online? Last I checked it was about the same price in our stores so I never ordered it.

I personally don't use any Hartz products, I don 't think they work well and I think (don't quote me) they don't get good reviews.

We we had horrible flea infestations last year. Three cats and two dogs just kept it going almost all summer. What worked for us in addition to the Frontline on ALL the critters: dogs bathed once a week (flea soap or Pert shampoo); vacuum every day; wash all bedding, blankets, pillows, toys in hot water--- anything they were likely to have laid on especially. I bought a flea spray and sprayed each room/carpet/furniture once a week-- keep animals out until it dries. Sprinkled flea powder on the carpets and let it sit-- vacuum thoroughly after time limit suggested on pkg. I spray my yard with Bayer flea indoor/outdoor spray which is good for other bugs, too. It may be over - kill, but two of our animals are highly allergic so it is still cheaper than vet bills for them.

Y/N.... Comb often and keep an eye out for more. I keep a cup of soapy water that I dip the comb in as I work through. Pay particular attention around the tail area and neck/ears. Fleas die in soapy water. Hopefully you caught this quickly and won't need all the drastic measures I went through.

Good luck!

Y/N, one more tip on flea products. Always use one that also kills flea eggs or the cycle just keeps hatching new hitchhikers.

Renee, I am convinced the thanks buttons have a mind of their own.:shame:

Thanks for all the good suggestions on fleas.:blowkiss:

I only saw 1 on her belly (when I was rubbing).

That's when I immediately gave her a bath, put that stuff on her back after she was dry, and then took all the throws off the couch and washed them-
then I vacuumed everything (and I mean everything!).

We have a Petco, so I'll go check out the flea products. I checked their website and found this:

http://www.petco.com/product/12686/...aarvoice-_-QA_PSVP-_-12686-_-productname_link

And this:

http://www.petco.com/product/9640/A...ical-Flea-Treatment-for-Dogs-And-Puppies.aspx
(looks like Advantage does comes in Xlarge for big dogs and other sizes, too- The Queen is about 19-20 lbs)

I have been combing her with a flea comb and haven't found any more- so far- but she still has to go out, so she may get some more. :scared:

Thank goodness I had her groomed a couple of weeks ago and her hair is really short.

:(

Hi YESorNO, I have to check and see what I use. Amy buys it at work. I know it covers both fleas and heartworm. We don't use it in winter, just from April thru November usually. Amy brought fleas home once:laughing:..we washed each dog three times :tantrum: then packed them up in the car (springtime)
went to eat supper then took them for ride. We bombed the house, think it was a Raid spray. We never had another problem. We have to watch close as many come to her work loaded with fleas.:gaah: Ok. got the name. Sentinel. Expensive yes but its a once a month deal and not all year unless one is in Fla.. etc.. bathing the dog is necessary as it doesn't kill live ones but kills the eggs. We never had another episode with them. I'm so glad to see you back Y/N!!! my computer was fried...:HHJP:

I don't care how raunchy she is but I don't like the way she rips in on people. She doesn't care
who she hurts. She is no prize and should remember that.:shame:
