I don't think her hair has been bleached or colored for a long time but I can think of other reasons for tossing it in the garbage.

According to the ST vs Jodi Arias, her new doo is a bob and she did donate it. So, I am supposing with the bob and her glasses she will look like a smart librarian. Gag

Gag also.

How long will she look bookish? Will jurors notice during the selection process? Because if they don't the joke will be on her as by the time jury selection is done and trial starts her hair could be a long stringy greasy mess again.

1. I don't. I don't even remember making a guess. :) I don't think they will go "recap first, then mitigation." It will just be a trial on mitigation, but lots of the evidence from the prior trial happens to be relevant to mitigation, and/or to balancing mitigation against the cruelty factor.

2. Anything can be raised that's relevant to mitigation. The abuse argument is certainly relevant.

3. I think she'll cave at some point, probably right about when JM starts making a rapid-fire legal argument complete with case citations and she realizes she has no clue how to respond.

BBM

What's the over/under on JM yelling "Objection"?

JA cut her hair, but did she donate it? If she did, was the hair accepted by an organization? I would think the organizations want untreated, unbleached, uncolored hair. Natural hair needs no special care and would not change color or texture etc. after being made into a hair piece. So maybe, the hair that may have been cut, was tossed in the garbage.

They don't want colored or bleached hair. You're right. I think they need hair so much now that they're willing to take anything.

Had forgotten about that, AZ. Could be. She's been claiming DR is a liar.

Pot, meet Kettle.

This is what I really don't understand, her accusation that Deanna lied.

According to her handwritten motion trying to fire Nurmi, she says he failed to "impeach" Deanna for lying. She's says Deanna said in recorded statements (where and when they were recorded, by whom, and whether they were under oath, she doesn't say) that Travis was a virgin and later on the stand Deanna said she and Travis had sex.

Well, so what? Suppose Deanna was lying at some point (I don't think she did, but just supposing)? What difference does that make? How does it mitigate a sentence for Jodi? How does the fact that Travis had sex with another woman affect Jodi in any way, shape or form?

I think it's like you say: pot, meet kettle. Like we know Jodi's a liar, but we'll excuse that if Deanna lied?

My question is, will the judge let this information in if it has no bearing on the issue of mitigation.

Jodi Arias Updates @JodiAnnArias · 8h
Jodi got a little haircut yesterday. It's up at her shoulders now. And yes, she donated it.

Lets all stand up and

. She's so magnanimous.

She deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for her thoughtfulness and her willingness to help her fellow man.
Let's all forget that she murdered an innocent man- come one, everyone. What do you say? Where's your heart?

Why- she's right up there with Mother Teresa in her kindness!!!

BBM The amount of lies is the difference, I think.

missy:jail: spewed forth a huge mountain of them (and she lied about killing Travis- the most important lie of all), unlike DR, which was only one in this trial.

But, I don't doubt that she will bring up DR's lie if only to state that Travis was also a liar by "saying" he was a virgin (here I don't really know if his friends were just

assuming he was a virgin) and thereby "hiding" an immoral life from the eyes of his peers.

Doubt it. I do not think this is relevant to the trial and if not JSS should not allow such testimony. But I think JA would love a chance to have a go at Deanna. (And there is no other DR that it could be, AFAIK).

I think if JA was appealing her Guilty verdict she might want to take this route (waste of time but who cares) but I cannot see DR having any bearing on mitigation (unless JA thinks she lied about there being no abuse).

I do not think a depo will be allowed by JSS if that's what JA is requesting to do. JMO.

ETA: I am not sure if JA wants to do a depo or wants a transcript of a depo that was already done. Either way, I do not see how it could be relevant to mitigation.

She wants to impeach Deanna's credibility so she is using this statement not under oath. It might be important to note what the circumstances were when she gave that first answer. Maybe whoever had no business asking the question. I agree though, the killer wants to put Deanna in a bad light.

Autumn doesn't look so fat in some of her pictures. I know she hasn't given birth yet, it's just weird. I must be looking at her wrong.

I wonder if it will be an open hearing, so Jen can Tweet????

What time is that EST?

AZ is 3 hours before us, YoYo .... so that would be 11:30 AM our time.

Librarian maybe. Smart? No.

I hope JSS does not allow JA to do anything that is not relevant to the trial. Seems she is trying to bring up things that need to happen in an appeal of the verdict, not mitigation. This trial is about penalty; it looks at the aggravating circumstances and considers anything that might mitigate same. I expect JA to try all kinds of nonsense and I want her to get away with none of it. Force JA to take her issues over being found Guilty of Murder in the First Degree to the proper venue because this trial is not it. Taxpayer dollars are not going to be wasted on nonsense, hopefully.

It appears that she wants to depose the witness; i.e., D.R.

I anticipate a number of these ploys in order to prolong the sentencing re-trial.

The especially cruel lying torture murderess is in no hurry to learn (and face) her ultimate fate and will do anything to delay it.

It's also possible that she believes her continued badgering may wear down the family so that they will cooperate with a life sentence 'settlement'/plea.

After all, she has everything to lose.

"AUSTIN, Tex. — With a large crowd of supporters chanting his name, Gov. Rick Perry of Texas turned himself at the Travis County courthouse on Tuesday to be booked on felony charges of abuse of power.

Mr. Perry was fingerprinted and photographed. His arraignment is scheduled for Friday, though Mr. Perry will be in New Hampshire.

“I’m here today because I believe in the rule of law,” he said. “I’m going to enter this courthouse with my head held high.”

He has called the charges politically motivated. “I’m going to fight this injustice with every fiber of my being,” he said. “And we will prevail.”

Gov. Rick Perry, addressing charges against him for the first time Saturday at the Texas Capitol, said he was confident that he would prevail.Amid Debate Over Who Overstepped, Perry Calls Indictment a ‘Farce’ AUG. 16, 2014
A Travis County grand jury indicted Mr. Perry on Friday on charges that stemmed from his efforts to force the resignation of Rosemary Lehmberg, the Travis County district attorney, after her arrest on a drunken-driving charge. Mr. Perry threatened to veto funding to her office unless she quit, a threat that he ultimately carried out by vetoing $7.5 million earmarked for the Public Integrity Unit that was intended to fight official corruption....

Mr. Buzbee [his lawyer] acknowledged that the state “will pay some part of this defense” but declined to speculate on the cost of what could become a prolonged legal battle.

“Without this wrongful indictment, the taxpayers of the state of Texas would not have to pay for such a defense,” he said.

Look at her from top view, where you are looking down at her back. That's what I see now. And she looks huge!

JA's motion asking to delay trial until 9/29 is posted. I've read it once, but since it sounds more like a whiny 6yr old than an attorney, I'll have to go over it a few more times to figure out what she's talking about. You can see, and download, it here: http://www.fox10phoenix.com/link/709654/arias-motion
