She still a convicted murderer. She can bathe in Clorox and she still a convicted murderer. She is no longer a plus to society, she killed an innocent human being now she must pay.

The killer wants a continuance and JSS has shown so far that she is not very strong in calling the shots. She let the defense tell her how long each court day would be during the guilt phase. That was a mistake, IMO. That showed her weakness and willingness to cave easily. I think the killer will get a continuance in spite of JSS already telling her no delays.

Speaking of having everything to lose, her Twitter page is now nothing but shameless begging for the especially cruel murderess's defense fund.

JA's motion asking to delay trial until 9/29 is posted. I've read it once, but since it sounds more like a whiny 6yr old than an attorney, I'll have to go over it a few more times to figure out what she's talking about. You can see, and download, it here: http://www.fox10phoenix.com/link/709654/arias-motion

I thought it was a good motion. I wouldn't be surprised if Jennifer helped her write it.

Yuk, a too-big photo of Arias. As revolting as it is, I still find it a tad easier to look at than any photo of Casey. I am not sure why I find Casey's image more despicable--maybe because her victim was a tiny human.

That and she actually got away with her murder.

Casey Anthony will kill again.

Will she skate the next time as well?

Arias doesn't appear quite as happy in that photo as Tot Mom did in all her party pics -- the ones taken while Caylee's little body rotted in her mother's car trunk.

Jodi got a little haircut yesterday. It's up at her shoulders now. And yes, she donated it.

. She's so magnanimous.

She deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for her thoughtfulness and her willingness to help her fellow man.
Let's all forget that she murdered an innocent man- come one, everyone. What do you say? Where's your heart?

Why- she's right up there with Mother Teresa in her kindness!!!

Does anyone want to let Missy know that her hair still grows after she dies? :giggle:

The motion page appears as black space. The Fox header is there but no text. In ridding myself of various apps maybe I have lost something valuable.

I wonder if they can't just go ahead with jury selection and trial even though JA's witness is not available to meet with her until the end of August. Unless this is the only witness she has, or his findings upon evaluation of her is the bulk of her mitigation I see no reason why other business cannot go on as scheduled. I mean, must she be evaluated by this guy before she can participate in jury selection?

I think she may get one too - unless this expert tells JSS something other than JAs story/motion. Isn't this the visit that someone (maybe Arpaio) said she hadn't followed jail procedure on and IIRC JM mentioned she hadn't submitted a witness list. If she failed to do what she is supposed to do, now that she's the one that's supposed to do it, JSS may give her a big fat no.

Doubt it. I do not think this is relevant to the trial and if not JSS should not allow such testimony. But I think JA would love a chance to have a go at Deanna. (And there is no other DR that it could be, AFAIK).

I think if JA was appealing her Guilty verdict she might want to take this route (waste of time but who cares) but I cannot see DR having any bearing on mitigation (unless JA thinks she lied about there being no abuse).

I do not think a depo will be allowed by JSS if that's what JA is requesting to do. JMO.

ETA: I am not sure if JA wants to do a depo or wants a transcript of a depo that was already done. Either way, I do not see how it could be relevant to mitigation.

imho she only wants DR up there on the stand to answer her questions as a CONTROL FREAK thang iykwim. But sorry Jodi, Deanna showed she has calm poise..which you would know nothing about.

Well, JSS could grant it if necessary but I do not think she should do that right away. She could wait until such time as they find a continuance necessary to ... well, to continue. Granting it just for the asking makes no sense because jury selection can happen before this evaluation is completed or before JA has had a chance to review his findings. If she needs more time for this witness to do his thing after jury selection, she should have to ask for it then, IMO. I just hate that continuances are often granted just for the asking. Especially in this case--give an inch and you will be sorry, JSS.

Autumn doesn't look so fat in some of her pictures. I know she hasn't given birth yet, it's just weird. I must be looking at her wrong.

Steely, I wanna congratulate whoever the woman was in your life that taught you not to notice and say that a pregnant woman is fat!

Really? I thought it was confusing and whiny - but I could also believe Wilmott helped her whine. :tantrum:

Well, it's pretty hard to write a motion for continuance without SOME whining lol. ;)

Two observations:

  1. Arias hypocritically and repeatedly claims Nurmi has done nothing for her defense, yet she herself admits that he escalated this matter via email on her behalf, and
  2. I agree that Willmott likely participated in its construction, given the vernacular employed and its similarity to snarky pejoratives used in prior motions; e.g., "bring him up to speed", "a big waste of time and money", and "despite everyone's being on the same page".

Did you remove a .pdf reader (adobe or other)? It looks like a pdf linked inside the page, I'd copy and post for you but each of the 4 pages is longer than the screen.

Regardless of how well the request by JA for continuance of trial was written, I call it bs. She wants to stall and I hope JSS does not allow this. JMO but I am sticking to it.
