Goodmorning :-)

Love Kills

I understand your feelings. I guess some people's "fine toothed comb" is another's "impossible to fit an amoeba's microscopic non existent hair between the tines of that comb".

Is it reasonable to keep appealing on nonsensical issues for 25 years? I think no stone unturned involves all the stones on every planet of the galaxy in actual practice for the execution of this sentence in the state of AZ. I think any mother who had a child on death row would also want every single possible thing done to delay their death even if they knew their child was guilty. And would be willing for millions of dollars in taxpayer dollars to be used to delay their death.

Know what I mean?

The VAST majority of death sentenced murderers die of natural causes in prison.

I rest my case. ;)

PS. ALL of my posts are shared through the veil of the bias I own 100%. i don't pretend to be an unbiased journalist ahem, poster. I post from my unique lens and hope to educate on what the aftermath of a trial like this is really like but I know I don't have much objectivity and I"m ok with that. :D

Remember when you and others advocated for a different kind of sentence for such violent crimes? I am reminded of that now and could not agree more.

I can understand all the frustrations, but (and you may not like what I'm saying), even tho' the murderer is "the worst-of-the-worst", the laws must be upheld in order that there is justice for all (and that means for the $#%&# murderer, rapists, whatever, too). After all, we are not barbarians anymore (even if the offender may be/is) and every life is a life. The death of anyone at the courts hand must be absolutely valid- with all the dots doted and t's crossed- in all points (no matter how ridiculous they seem). A person is going to die here (even tho' that person has murdered). We are not murderers- just people who are looking for justice for the victim and his/her family. There must be procedures to go through (no matter how tedious they may be) because it's so important to be absolutely sure, best "we" can, (and by "we", I mean as American citizens), that all this is a valid conclusion in giving the DP. If it was my son on death row, I would want all the court proceedings, etc. scrutinized with a fine-tooth comb, before my son could be put to death.

I know it's really bad that all this takes so long (and is very taxing on the victim's family). I don't know the reason for that. It must be like living in limbo and it seems as if it's not fair.

Anyway- all my :moo: and you can say I'm blowing smoke out of my azz, but these are my feelings.

Hey YoN Good morning :-) I started to reply to your post last night but got sidetracked. I understand what you're saying, I even agree with some of it. What makes me angry is just because "someone somewhere onetime" was found guilty when in fact they were innocent our justice system/courts have turned into a circus. Just to keep an innocent person from going to prison our courts have allowed repeat offenders to walk free. Repeat offenders who knew they were doing wrong the first time they raped a baby/child, repeat offenders who knew the first time they drove drunk and killed an innocent person who was just crossing the street. I don't believe everyone is entitled to the same representation in court. Criminals like CMJA should not be allowed to turn the court system of the US of A into a circus/joke. Criminals should not have more rights than victims. I believe I live in the best country, I am very blessed to live in the United States, but our justice system is F***** up. Our justice system is not here for the victims or for the victims family, they have no rights. Our justice system is only here to protect the criminals, they have all the rights. That's how I see our Criminal justice system.

I really REALLY like your posts :)

Yay, I finally got one of my computers working again. I have to work on the new one later. When I logged on to the computer I got many ads but re-installed ad block. I sure hope it works. Good morning to all.

Hi yes or no. Hi Nore.
i did read Juan's Facebook page with that link early today. But I want to see Nores page with that letter from Jodi. That is the one I can't get on. As far as JMs Facebook page, I wasn't sure how to navigate around it.

On the JM support page was a "Motion to Reconsider previous camera ruling,"
a request from the local media to show video clips of the trial daily, after court recessed for the day.
At least that is all I found.

I have very intimate knowledge of the death penalty too. Still 100% against it. There was no 'justice'. My beloved was not returned. The dark hole in my heart/life left by the crime was not filled. The DP was too good for him. It's what he wanted. He was the only one who 'won'.

The only one who will get peace if Jodi Arias is put to death is Jodi Arias.

So I think I will just be happy. :). Hebrews 13:8, by the way, says that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever". Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. I still believe in miracles. Because I am one.

:loveyou: I too believe in miracles!!

Hi two Sharons and YESorNO. I am a great one to give anyone instructions to FB. or Tweet!!
I'm really not sure how either work, don't care really. I don't post anything personal except a few names
first only. I think FB. is mad at me. They keep sending "people I might know." I don't so quit sending 'em
FaceBook!!! I also don't spend enough time .Tough darts! Curious you are doing much better than I did..
Take care. hoping to live long enough for the penalty phase!

Me too Nore! Can't give instructions OR take them...

YESorNO - I have NO "picture frame" in my 'advanced' reply?? So I can't bring over those emoticons that you posted.... :tantrum:

Yes I do! I think the DP now has become more politicized than really about crime and punishment anymore. I think that drives all the money and attention that goes in to blocking it. How could it's deterrence ever be truly studied when it's so ineffective in it's actual execution?

Something that drives out the politics and focuses on the best consequence for the worst of the worst might be a more effective alternative. In the long run, all things considered I mean.

I'm not attached to my sister's killers being executed but I am attached to keeping them in prison. And I've become convinced that death row killers have a far more likelihood of release simply for all those working on their behalf.

There is the faction of course who just want to fight for these criminals no matter what. I'd like to make them more impotent too and let the legal system actually function as it's supposed to.

Thanks YES or NO. I appreciate the comforting pat...I love sweet gestures like that. :)

Love Kills

Good morning. :) I just want to say just because it's in my craw that I don't believe Jodi Arias slaughter of Travis Alexander had anything to do with love. On either end.

I think it was lust, obsession and flat out evil. But I don't think "Love" was in the equation at all.

Just had to say it.

Try it again, Niner. You can do it!

I lived in the Northern Virginia area when the DC Snipers were killing random people. I was working as a dialysis nurse & often filled my gas tank up early in the morning, like 5:30am. One of the murders took place at a Home Depot about 2 miles from my job. We were terrified. I remember taking precautions like getting in the car while the tank was filling up. Anyway, several years after their capture (John Mohammed & Lee Malvo) John Mohammed was executed in Virginia. As much as he terrorized the area & killed several innocent people, the night he was executed I felt sort of hollow & actually a little sad for the killer, sort of like an "is that all there is" moment, it felt unfulfilling, like two wrongs don't make a right. I started to think that life in prison is a "better" penalty, in that the criminal will have a long, miserable life behind bars. But then I also feel like the death penalty is warranted in some crimes. I think no matter how much of a narcissist she is, Jodi Arias will be miserable indeed with LWOP. She'll have 23 hrs a day to relive 6/4/08, & I don't for a minute even think she was in a fog. She deserves that misery. She knows, or is getting to be familiar, with the fact that after this phase of the trial she will sink into oblivion. People are sick of her antics now! In time she will just fade away, like Susan Smith or Betty Broderick, & the next picture we see of her she will be 20 yrs older, with sagging breast augmentation & furrows in her brow, salt & pepper hair. Her victim will be, as Juan said, forever young.

Thank you for this! I found another article on this case.

" Judge Stephens gave Linsk 90 days in jail.

“While I believe you may not have known that you hit a human being, when you stopped your vehicle I believe any reasonable human being would have believed there was a good chance that they hit something and would have returned to the scene,” she said.

One week later, Stephens cut Linsk’s sentence in half, time he is now spending in the infirmary on his doctor’s recommendation."

You can read the entire article here:

http://archive.azcentral.com/inside...9/24/hit-and-run-is-a-serious-crime-or-is-it/

Why am I not surprised and I am so disappointed. Just what will we find out that happened during the trials/hearings but will not be reported on until after the fact, such as possible or real intimidation, bribery, more lies, and the list goes on. Even the knife slashing on the neck was never dealt with and that was on video for all to see. As always JMO and own thoughts. I pray for the Alexander Family.

Hi Salberg7,
I would have been terrified too. Just a couple months ago there were some random killings on the freeway of Louisville and the police have never found the killer. I don't like driving across the bridge to shop there anymore, although it could happen right here. We never know.

I have to disagree about JA being miserable in prison. I think there is a segment of society that are sociopaths/psychopaths that adjust to their surroundings and it becomes a happy place for them. You or I might be miserable but JA will be just fine. She will likely live to intimidate Travis' family, the prosecutor, the defense team, anyone she thinks betrayed her the best way she can. That might come from using others or by letters or tweets but she will do her best. She will make friends in prison and use people to her advantage. And as far as her living with her crime 24/7, I really believe this is where she will get the most satisfaction. She isn't remorseful or sorry or sad. I think she is looking forward to her new home, unless she is locked in that death row cell for 23 hours a day. Even then she will survive by plotting her appeals. Everything is all about her. When killers like her exist, there is never any justice.

Niner, I had trouble with this also. Sometimes it will allow me to insert a funny face but other times I get frustrated and give up. The site is temperamental.

There is no solution that gives peace to the soul. In the end though, you better believe Jodi will face God. He said "vengeance is mine. I will repay.". You may face Him early or later but it will come to every man or woman. The death penalty doesn't fix anybody. But I think it may give the Alexander's one day to think they got justice. They just want the killer out of their lives. Killers don't know that the whole family dies inside. Not sure they know how to care.
