Gcharlie, I am so sorry. There is so much sadness in this world. We don't need more. My grandson, only 20 years old, was killed in a single car accident in March of this year. I still picture his beautiful smile. I don't know why it happened and my heart breaks. I miss him.
And then in May my precious sister who had raised me died of a stroke. I miss her so much, I can't think of her without crying. I am sorry i am a downer. Your post just reminded me that we have beautiful people come into our lives and I am never ready to let them go.

Thank you for sharing that Curious...my heart really goes out to you. There is nothing more painful in this human existence than losing someone you love. Nothing. You've been hit by a lot recently. No one is every ready I don't think. And grieving takes time...<3

I lived in the Northern Virginia area when the DC Snipers were killing random people. I was working as a dialysis nurse & often filled my gas tank up early in the morning, like 5:30am. One of the murders took place at a Home Depot about 2 miles from my job. We were terrified. I remember taking precautions like getting in the car while the tank was filling up. Anyway, several years after their capture (John Mohammed & Lee Malvo) John Mohammed was executed in Virginia. As much as he terrorized the area & killed several innocent people, the night he was executed I felt sort of hollow & actually a little sad for the killer, sort of like an "is that all there is" moment, it felt unfulfilling, like two wrongs don't make a right. I started to think that life in prison is a "better" penalty, in that the criminal will have a long, miserable life behind bars. But then I also feel like the death penalty is warranted in some crimes. I think no matter how much of a narcissist she is, Jodi Arias will be miserable indeed with LWOP. She'll have 23 hrs a day to relive 6/4/08, & I don't for a minute even think she was in a fog. She deserves that misery. She knows, or is getting to be familiar, with the fact that after this phase of the trial she will sink into oblivion. People are sick of her antics now! In time she will just fade away, like Susan Smith or Betty Broderick, & the next picture we see of her she will be 20 yrs older, with sagging breast augmentation & furrows in her brow, salt & pepper hair. Her victim will be, as Juan said, forever young.

She'll work the system in prison. I doubt she would suffer unless in solitary/on death row. She will enjoy reliving her butchery of Travis for the rest of her life.

Yes you can Niner. If I can do this, you can do this.

Go to "advance" and do you see all the thingys above where you post ( has B I U )- then 2 more groups of items? Well the last group of items , which has a round object, then a

, then another round thingy. The next thing is the "picture frame"- right before the

Try it again, Niner. You can do it!

I sure hope so!

It's hard for me to believe that it has really been sixteen years, yet Monday marks the anniversary of my brother's death. He was killed instantly in a single vehicle accident while driving cross country.

Last Sunday, my son and I went and had a nice lunch at his memorial bench. My son was only eight years old at the time my brother died. His uncle would be proud of him.

Good morning. :) I just want to say just because it's in my craw that I don't believe Jodi Arias slaughter of Travis Alexander had anything to do with love. On either end.

I think it was lust, obsession and flat out evil. But I don't think "Love" was in the equation at all.

Just had to say it.

I agree KCL - no love and certainly no mercy.

The system needs to be overhauled. It is seriously broken.

It's still prison. Life without the possibility of prison...without any hope of getting out will be torture for Arias. She will never have her freedom again. And I don't think ruthless manipulators are dealt with nicely in prison. She has no idea on how to even pretend to get along with others. (Unlike Casey Anthony who did have some social skills). Arias is socially awkward and seems to make enemies everywhere she goes. I don't see her getting along well with others like her. Add to that the crummy meals, terrible heat, leaking showers, having to deal with criminals day in and day out ...

Even if she forms 'wonderful' friendships there, has relationship with guards, eats steaks and caviar everyday...even if she's able to do all of that she's still stuck in a small, hot, dingy cell that doubles as a toilet as well. She's stuck in that miserable cell for most of the day, everyday, for all the days of her life. If that's 'living' then let her do so by all means.

(It is upto us to ignore her pathetic attempts to tarnish Travis' reputation and taunt Travis' family. This is why I am so anxious for this trial to end. I want to simply forget about her. I don't care about anything she has to say. She could write books and give interviews and go all out and even confess. I still don't care. I will always remember Travis and his kind ways. On the other hand, one day I'd like to say 'Jodi, who?')

Goodness, May 3rd was a long time ago. We should all have a secret buddy that has our names and phone numbers so we can check on missing members. We did this on a soap and body product forum I used to be a member of. It was so nice. We would send postcards, birthday gifts and there were some who became real friends in real life. I hope Molly n Me is doing well.

Hi friends!
September 8 2014 is turning out to be a great day for justice seekers after all. Yes JA got her precious delay but.............
Luka Magnotta's trial starts on Sept. 8 in Montreal. There's a publication ban so there won't be any news from Canadian sources but the American media is free to publish whatever they please. I'm not sure what language the trial will be conducted in so that could affect media coverage but who really cares. He's going down and so is she. WOOHOO!

Just to let you all know, YesOrNo is taking a required break with her usual bandwidth issues. If something important comes up I'll let her know!

Hi Renee ... we do have something of a phone buddy system here in the Sidebar for us long timers. Kensie and I offer to take numbers and promise to keep them confidential. Anyone interested can participate. :)
