That's how it's done when you donate it. They tie it in a pony tail and cut the ponytail off.

My G-son when he was in high school had his hair down to his waist, he donated to Locks of Love, (in my honor, he's a sweetie) it was done that way too. But when my daughter donated her hair to Locks of Love (also put in a pony tail) but afterwards they styled it for her. Maybe donated hair doesn't get styled in prison.

It reminds me of a pic of her with Bobby Juarez. The expression is similar, or something is similar.

P.S. How is foal watch going?!

Jen says no delays were asked for at hearing today, so retrial still starts 9/29!!!!

Did CMJA cut her own hair? This cut does not look like a professional cut. Maybe it was just pulled up in a ponytail and then just wacked off.

I don't think they would allow her to have scissors, however there may be a person who is allowed to come in and do haircuts on the inmates. That person probably charges a fee.

Does anyone know for sure?

Killer did not get an ex parte because she is no longer representing herself and JSS no longer feels compelled to give her the time of day just for the asking.

:shocked2: Gahhhhhhh! Major sleep deprivation! We have a storm coming in tomorrow that should continue til Saturday (the hurricane coming up from Baja) and there's been several times when I've had mares that have delivered a "mud monster"!

It all comes down to it being her first foal, otherwise I'd have something to compare to with previous pregnancies.

They may or may not charge a fee for the haircut. It depends on whether it is an ongoing program where they come in on some kind of schedule and the cuts are done for donation (as opposed to inmate simply wanting a new style).

I don't really care if the killer donates hair as hair donation is a good thing. It is her TIMING of it that counts, and we can all see right through that. Hopefully the jurors they select will be able to see through it also.

I really hope no agency/entity/salon/foundation/person is paying Arias for her hair. It's bad enough someone will pay for the glasses. A fool and his money...

Wow. Just posted long text and it said it was short and would not post. How frustrating. Are four paragraphs too short?

Not sure how they do it where she is "housed", but some jails/prisons will offer haircuts for $10 that the inmate can pay for from their account monies. I think that isn't out of the norm for most facilities.

I've read about the storm. We are supposed to get some rain from it. I can't wait to hear about the foal when it arrives. Please post pics!

Re: sinus rinse.

Ocean is the best spray for carrying with you or to use in the middle of the night. I used to use McNeils rinse but it didn't always work. A pharmacist told me about this one: Alkalol. Comes in 16 ounce brown bottle and you will need to use a baby nose aspirator. It's awesome! I live in a valley and Fall brings awful sinus problems to everyone. This stuff literally saves me. Directions are on bottle. It's so much better than McNeills and you don't have to dilute it. You can order it from Walgreens, Riteaid or CVS and they will have it in a day or two. Best. stuff. ever.

Yes, there are women who donate their time to cut inmates' hair. I saw that on Locked Up.
