Guess I'll add one more reason for her little time playing lawyer. I do think she was primarily trying to replace Nurmi with someone that JW and Maria probably like, but once that was done she kept it going to keep easier access to her supporters for as long as possible. There was a tweet a little while ago that claimed she didn't have money in her commissary account - if true, she had to get that fixed! She had a serious split in her 'fandom' and one side seemed to be trying to wrestle control of funds away from her family. Keeping her family in check is important too, they could probably do some real damage to her case. Also some claim that one or another of them that tweet 'for her' were lying and were just making up stuff - some of it apparently was of concern to Maria re: trial stuff. She had to get these people in line, and having a little more phone time and a lot more Maria time was a big help.

SIMPLE TRUTH #1
Lovers help each other undress before sex.
However after sex, they always dress on their own.
Moral of the story: In life, no one helps you once you're screwed.

SIMPLE TRUTH # 2
When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch her stomach and say, "Congratulations".
But, none of them touch the man's penis and say, "Good job".
Moral of the story: Hard work is never appreciated.

FIVE RULES TO REMEMBER IN LIFE
1. Money cannot buy happiness, but it's more comfortable to cry in a Corvette than on a bicycle.
2. Forgive your enemy, but remember the azzhole's name.
3. If you help someone when they're in trouble, they will remember you when they're in trouble again.
4. Many people are alive only because it's illegal to shoot them.
5. Alcohol does not solve any problems, but then neither does milk.
AND FINALLY
Condoms don't guarantee safe sex. A friend of mine was wearing one, when he was shot by the woman's husband.

Senior Daze

One night a nurse was making her rounds in a nursing home. While walking down the hall, she came across an open door. She looked in and saw old Frank sitting up in bed pretending to drive.
She asked "Frank, what are you doing?" He replied "I'm driving to Toronto". The nurse smiled at him and carried on making her rounds.

The next night as she walked past Frank's room she saw the same thing. Again she asked "Frank, what are you doing?" He replied "I'm driving to Toronto. It"s a two day trip, you know!" The nurse smiled at him and carried on making her rounds.

Five minutes later she came across another open door and looked in. She saw Bob pretending to have sex with someone. She asked "Bob, what are you doing?" Bob replied "I'm having sex with Frank's wife. He's gone to Toronto for a couple of days"...

A woman's husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she had stayed by his bedside every single day.
One day, when he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer.
As she sat by him, he whispered, eyes full of tears, "You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you stayed right here. When my health started failing, you were still by my side. You know what?" "What dear?" she asked gently, smiling as her heart began to fill with warmth. ”I think you're bad luck."

A Son's Love

An old man lived alone in Ireland. He wanted to dig his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, who would have helped him, was in prison for bank robbery.
The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his predicament.Shortly, he received this reply,"For HEAVEN'S SAKE Dad, don't dig up that garden, that's where I buried the Money!"
At 4 A.M. the next morning, a dozen policemen showed up and dug up the entire garden, without finding any money.
Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what happened, and asking him what to do next.
His son's reply was: "Now plant your potatoes, Dad. It's the best I could do from here."

Not Afraid

A few minutes before the church services started, the congregation was sitting in their pews and talking. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church.

Everyone started screaming and running for the back entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil incarnate. Soon the church was empty except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew without moving, seemingly oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy was in his presence.

So Satan walked up to the man and said, 'Do you know who I am?'

The man replied, 'Yep, sure do.'

Aren't you afraid of me?' Satan asked.

'Nope, sure ain't.' said the man.

Don't you realize I can kill you with one word?' asked Satan.

Don't doubt it for a minute, ' returned the old man, in an even tone.

'Did you know that I can cause you profound, horrifying agony for all eternity?' persisted Satan.

Yep,' was the calm reply.

'And you're still not afraid?' asked Satan.

'Nope,' said the old man.

More than a little perturbed, Satan asked, ' Why aren't you afraid of me?'

The man calmly replied, 'Been married to your sister for 48 years.'

College Rules

On the first day of college, the dean addressed the students, pointing out some of the rules:

"The female dormitory will be out-of-bounds for all male students, and the male dormitory to the female students. Anybody caught breaking this rule will be fined $20 the first time. Anybody caught breaking this rule the second time will be fined $60. Being caught a third time will cost you $180. Are there any questions?"

One student raised his hand and asked, "How much for a season pass?"

No Sex Tonight !!!

I’ve never quite figured out why the sexual urges of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing or why men think with their head and women with their heart.

For example…One evening last week, my wife and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion started to heat up, but then she said "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me."
I said "WHAT??!! What was that?!"

So she said the words that every husband on the planet dreads to hear..."You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man." She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?"

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep.

The very next day, I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, high-end department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said let’s get a pair for each outfit. We went on to the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings.

Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. But, I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey."

She appeared to be almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear; let's go to the cashier."

I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it."

Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, "WHAT?"

I then said "Honey, I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial means as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman." And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?"

Apparently, I'm not having sex tonight either…

Then again he may shrink away some more! I wouldn't be able to eat.

And then there's Jenny's bald spot to consider. If it is stress-related, it's bound to get bigger. She should also try combing her hair differently every now and then... but I guess she's decided on a look and she's sticking with it.

For those interested:
Judge Masipa will be delivering a verdict in the Oscar Pistorius trial 9:30 a.m. Thursday in South Africa. That is 3:30 a.m. EST Thursday. It will be live streamed on WAT and several other locations. As for me, I'm setting my alarm and will be up for the start at 1:30 a.m. Mountain Time.

Already there. I even got some extra sleep this morning after dropping my daughter off so I could stay up a little later tonight. Don't know how long I'll make it though.

It's just speculation on my part, but between the 3-way phone calls, social media push, and the documentary factor that just came to light...I dunno. I thought she would last longer than this though. From social media accounts (which are almost never verifiable, granted), she was so involved with her fans and "fundraising" for her appeal that I can't imagine she'd have much time to prepare for this retrial of the penalty phase, let alone study enough to know half of what she was supposed to be doing.

I do believe her narcissism has won over defending herself against a death sentence. It blows the mind, no?

This theory may be wrong. She may simply have realized that she has nothing working in her favor (witnesses, etc.); perhaps it's a combination of both. ?

Jodi was setting up three way phone calls when she was on the stand. Something happened to make her quit, and the" repercussion 4call" does make you think of what was she trying to pull this time. Would this be another thing Juan wanted her sanctioned for?

Getting a little teary thinking this will be over soon! So glad she withdrew..too hard on the Alexanders.

Are all motions available as public record through the clerk? Or does Michael Kiefer just 'happen' upon them accidentally?

Kiefer is a wanna be reporter. He posted/tweeted something that was inside info then took it down at the end of the trial. KCL saw it and told us abut it. Kiefer had a stiffie for Jodi.

Sorry for the length, but was interested in this person that req'd. the interview, Olivia Klaus, and found quite a bit that may explain her interest in JA. She's a documentary filmmaker who describes DV as her passion (and IMO her livelihood). A subject of her first documentary ”Sin by Silence”(2009), is a woman named Brenda Clubine who served 26 yrs. in prison for killing her husband in 1983 . In 1989 Brenda started a prison support group for abused women called Convicted Women Against Abuse (CWAA) - the group has worked on gaining clemency for 20 (to date) DV victims and recently helped (along w/Olivia) to get legislation passed that expanded Battered Woman’s Syndrome legally. Once Battered Woman’s Syndrome was established in 1991, Brenda apparently was quite the media darling and self-described example for the issue, leading to several groups clamoring for her release. Not everyone bought her DV “tale of woe” because of facts found in court transcripts and her “widely contradictory accounts” of the murder. http://articles.latimes.com/1993-10-10/local/me-44254_1_brenda-clubine-sue-osthoff-murder-trial-testimony

.
In 2001 Olivia Klaus began attending CWAA meetings as a volunteer – in addition to Clubine, one of her later documentary subjects is Patricia Krenwinkel (Charles Manson case), a member of this group. Clubine was transferred to the prison where Olivia volunteered in 2007 and she is one of the people Clubine credits with getting her release in 2008, but there is another one. When reading Clubine's blog, I noticed that Clubine wrote a very sympathetic article on JA, and in it she mentions ALV who she describes as “Alyce is an incredible woman who was one of the few people who believed my side of the story during my trial and continued to stand by me the entire 26 years I was incarcerated”.

Clubine is now a DV speaker & advocate who continues working on legal issues and gaining clemency. She established and actively collects for “The Sin by Silence Bills Fund” which funds legal expenses for inmates to petition for resentencing. Am I the only one that sees another supposed DV victim/media darling/fundraiser in these women’s future, once Maricopa County & Arpaio lose control of JA’s interviews? We are never going to be rid of this evil person, I’m afraid…

Alyce was a screenwriter? on several lifetime movies and is listed in the documentary.
