Not surprising at all. Dr. Horn is the best qualified expert--hard science--of all the experts who testified at trial. The defense just doesn't like what he has to say, and it's very obvious. They cannot stand him. They look mortified (pardon the pun) every time he walks into the room. :floorlaugh:

ETA: They do NOT want autopsy pics that show the severity of the attack.

The imagine that sticks with me about Dr. Horn is when he held up his hands showing where the defensive wounds were on Travis.

Bad day at the Docs...........in a nutshell:

Get there at 12:43 for my 12:45 appointment.:thinking:

Ok, 20 minutes in, and I'm getting hypersensitive to the florescent lights.:tantrum:
At 30 minutes, have to tell the receptionist I'll be outside, lights are driving me nuts!
45 minutes, a "sub" doc gets me from outside, my new doc sprained her ankle (It gets better, word at the "other" campus says she popped her knee out of socket):scared:
Now there's a cop out on the street in his patrol car, circling around an individual named Jarrod, who has walked away from Haddon House, looking for his Doc and his shot. Jarrod has been AWOL for about 30 minutes.:happydance:
"Sub" doc goes out to get Jarrod, he's not having anything to do with it!:gaah:
2:00 "Sub" doc returns and we get down to business, all 9 minutes of what was supposed to be an hour. :facepalm:

Go to the other "campus" to talk to my case manager.......
New format for yearly Patient evaluation............Gawd have mercy!!!!!
"No, yes, no, no, what does confinement mean, yes, yes", etc., etc.

Got home at 4:30.

Blah.

I will be here tomorrow. Maybe Lambchop can give us an idea on how we can post tweets w/o getting in trouble on the Sidebar for all of you who have limited bandwidth on their computers......say like from one specific source or the "highlights"? Don't want to take away from the retrial thread, but we got some WS peeps who are bandwidth and DishTV disabled!!!

I was wondering if anyone else has a concern about having so many women on the jury? I have seen posts in the retrial thread about women "sticking" together. I am not worried about it, I think women are more likely to see the BS the defense is spewing. I think most women would dismiss the garbage that the killer claims as "verbal/emotional abuse". I know what verbal/emotional abuse is and what the killer experienced ain't it!

I watched a video the other day of a victim's family member who got up from his seat, ran to the defendant and beat him silly. The guards weren't able to prevent it. What torture to sit in the same room as the murderer. And to think of Travis' family who have had to sit in court and endure all...I'm in awe of them. Such grace and grit. Travis would be proud...

IMO: I think it's a positive.

From what I got from the tweets, the women are younger. That would *hopefully* mean they are more enlightened about domestic violence.
In the mid 80's, Arizona passed a law that if LE was called to a DV or a spouse/BF/GF reported DV, the State picked up the charges regardless if the victim wanted charges pressed or not.
Common sense, more exposure to what DV is, and having friends who were more vocal about DV relationships would help them see that a 30 year old man doesn't all of a sudden become violent in one relationship after having several others that had no violence what-so-ever. Specially if there was no alcohol or drugs all of a sudden entered into the relationship.
Sexting/phone sex: They've all heard about it or done it.
Brazilian waxes: They've either done it, their daughters have done it, or they've heard about it. (With all the reality TV out there, you'd have to live under a rock not to have)
Women don't like other women who fake DV, specially if you've been a victim.
If there's "no ring", nothing is keeping a woman tied to that relationship.

Etc.

I hope these women have the common sense they were born with.
I don't think the men are going to be too sympathetic..........CMJA has lost any appeal that she might have had in the last trial. Her age and incarceration has really done a number on her appearance. I don't think her "charm" is going to sway any of them.
