Good morning, everyone!

I'm not posting on the trial hardly at all because I stay so far behind! I leave the page up and do housework, run to the store, and even nap! My name is always at the bottom of the trial thread.

I love this sidebar thread. All of your posts are so interesting!

Happy Birthday to those I missed, and Congratulations on the babies (animal & human!). There is no gift more precious than babies!

I hate the long weekend breaks during a trial. We need to get this one over and done with a little black bow on it for Jodie on her way to the 'Big House'. I. Hate. This. Woman. and I'm going to hell for it, lol!

Ok I just wrote a lengthy blog post about the aftermath of the death penalty in AZ and some of my personal causes I want to get out there. If you're so inclined, please take a read. I've navigated the world the Alexanders have yet to dip a toe in to so hoping to bring some awareness to some things.

Well hi KCL! Good to see you here. Got some things to do this morning then will read your blog of today.
I feel so bad for the Alexander's in my heart because of all you have been through, I know it is never really over. We will move on and they won't be able to. There is a certain kind of evil in the world and sometimes our justice system perpetuates it. IMO. As good as our justice system is, there are still all the loop holes and crazies who will give the killer a voice. So sad.
Take care of yourself and Alfonso. :)

Good morning LaLaw. It is hard to follow a trial with tweets. I am so thankful for them but we miss so much and our goal here is to see JA put away for good.

Not to worry! The only one going to hell is the murderer! You'll be fine!

I am not sure how I feel about this. Please don't throw eggs at me. But it appears people, a lot of them, are out to make money off Travis's death. I mean, the cover is beautiful and I am certain they say good things about him but a couple of their emails to him were negative so I can't put a lot of faith in them as "friends" to Travis. JMO and all that. I don't plan to buy the book to find out. Certainly their timing and advertising of the book is bad.

I believe Travis was a good guy, a normal guy who unknowingly dated a psycho who stalked and killed him. In the end, this is about Jodi getting put away for good. That's what I care about.

Hi KCL,
I had to read your article before I could start the day. Very good article. I have to say, as I read it, I feel like someone with my hands and feet tied, as I know of no way to change our system. There are die hard liberals en masse at the judges helm, wanting to make a name for themselves and their agenda letting murderers go free in society. I feel like a small grain of sand on a beach. Very disheartening.

Up and already walking......

I'll give you kids updates tomorrow. Birth took about 2 minutes, walked outside cause ol' Zubaz was making a lot of noise and there was a bit of the sac. Kissy went down, did a few pushes, I carefully pulled one of the legs which wasn't quite out as far as the other as she had a contraction, and there was Zuri, all wet! Got her rubbed down with some towels.

Very cool! Kissy and Zuri are already talking to each other. Zubaz is a proud papa, again, for the 29th time. (Could be 30?)

Note: Mares always pick the spot you least expect them to foal in, not in the barn, always out in the dirt or mud! At least the weather is nice and the mud disappeared about 10 days ago.

Catch you kids tomorrow!:happydance:

The baby is adorable. I am so thrilled to be a horse aunt. Momma horse looks great too. How exciting!!!!

I suppose since the jury never heard the claims made at the guilt phase the whole story can be changed now, since they will not know to question why the change?

That's one of the main things that bothers me about redoing part of a trial...with a whole new jury...who didn't hear what went down the first time. Yeah, they get a mini-version now but so much will be left out that it leaves a good portion of what they are hearing out of context. IMO.

I was stunned to see the change of Travis being shot in the shower first. It goes against everything that was admitted in the first trial. What he is really saying is Arias lied under oath about the entire thing from running around being chased by Travis and being able to ballerina up to the top shelf in order to grab the imaginary gun.

Changing stories in the middle of the stream is never a good idea. Mark my word, Juan's ears perked up when he heard this, and now he is going to bring to the forefront that not only does the murderer lie, but so does her attorney. If the jury thinks Nurmi is jerking their leg it will not bode well for his client.

You are not going to hell for hating a low life, lying murderer. If you go hell for that, a lot of us will be joining you. The only person
that I know for sure that is going to hell is the killer.

Good Morning all. TGIF.

I care deeply about Travis. Being a survivor of domestic violence myself for many years I relate very much to Travis and what he went through with his own abuser. Travis' life shouldn't just be listed in statistics as a victim of domestic violence homicide. There was so much depth and meaning in the life he lived and that should be told. Everyone needs to know who he truly was rather than just remembering how he died.

I find comfort in knowing books are being written about Travis telling who he really was. He truly was a very remarkable young man.

I don't care if anyone makes money in the process as long as Travis' life story is told.

I hope the book does well. I plan on buying this book myself.

IMO

KCL, I shared your blog post with some friends. It touched me dearly and I hope you don't mind. I wish you and your family the best.

Btw, happy bday Lambchop

BBM: So with that being put out there by Nurmi, does anyone think the would dare put Jodi on the stand? This shoots the abuse claim right out the window. jmo

I missed where the story was changed and you are right - the fake abuse does not make sense now.

You know she wants the rest of her 15 min of infamy. Eh let Juan tear into her lies for a new jury.

Morning LampChop!

I have been confused about whether she can testify in the sentencing phase. I have read some articles that she will not be able to testify but can stand up and give a statement to the Judge begging for mercy etc.

I don't know that is true although I am trying to remember if I have ever seen a defendant testify in this phase and I am drawing a blank at the moment. LOL!

I know Juan is not going to let this slide. We are going to see evidence that contradicts what Nurmi all of a sudden changed. What that will be and how it is entered I am not sure but I do feel Juan will not let this slip by.

You are so right. With her shooting him right in the shower it wipes out everything the defendant testified to under oath. Again, I was stunned when he came up with that off the wall suggestion.

IMO

Nurmi can retire from the money that he has made on this trial.
