For anyone who may be interested: Not even sure how I ended up on this other thread, but came across this very, very sad story and rather controversial issue, if I might add, concerning the "death with dignity" act and the case of Brittany Maynard . I honestly don't know what to say about that, and should no doubt just keep my mouth shut . But, moving on, regarding the potential death penalty in the CMJA case, and / or others, the second link is a post from that thread about how death penalty drugs actually work. Though a very sombering topic, it's at least somewhat educational.

OT again, since we're so very patiently waitingggggg on this blasted trial to get going again ... Went back and read a little more about this tragic case. So my real concern is that this "death with dignity act" could be exploited and mis-used. Though I haven't actually read the act itself. I actually can understand it in this woman's case though, having terrible, disabling seizures, etc.

Today and Tomorrow were scheduled dark days. Court is scheduled to be back Wednesday. Who knows if def will have a witness ..(or a clue). :facepalm:

I don't think they come back to court until Wednesday but I could be wrong.

Court is not in session due to Veteran's Day. My daughter has it off school. Federal holiday. We can't blame this one on Nurmi or JSS.

Just read of Beth Karus site (not from her) but in the comments; CMJA's Aunt is upset that the Alexander family has not apologized to them for Travis treating CMJA badly. This whole family is crazy.

I'm very sorry for your loss. It's not so off topic...I lost my grandson in October and everyone here at WS was wonderful to me. I love that we are all here for each other in good and bad times. Take care.

I have a problem and need your assistance. I had a roommate for about 3 months or so who is an ex-cop. Before he left, without giving me any notice, I noticed missing things from my garage. Missing was an 8 foot ladder, my mother's portable wheelchair, a Husky red power washer and my almost new Ryobi electric drill. I know he took the drill because he left me his crappy old chargeable drill. I have filled out a police report. Today I discovered things missing inside the house, including a Waterford crystal globe that was my father's. I am also missing a very expensive ring that was my mother's jewelry but it's possible I hid it and can't remember where I put it.

Aside from the police report is there anything I can do? He being an ex cop knows how to get around all of this probably. Would appreciate your suggestions!

I'd recommend changing your locks and perhaps installing an alarm system . As for what else can be done, short of installing video surveillance, I'm not sure there's much more you can do besides of filing a report.

They really are grasping at tiny straws and it's a rather pathetic attempt IMHO.

Even if (and that's a really big IF) TA had on his computer, who cares? He didn't deserve to be slaughtered in his bathroom. period. The murderer needs to pay for her crime. :facepalm:
