Bernina and Rhozwen, you both have done a fantastic job and I can't thank you enough. I honestly have been getting knots in my stomach reading this stuff Nurmi is having this Dr. talk about. If I am getting knots, I wonder how Travis' family is doing. Enough is enough I say, let Juan up and clear it all to put this stuff back in perspective. Again, thank you both so much!

Maybe a juror high-tailed it out of town...will choose contempt of court over Death By Boredom.

On another note...the DT has not handed over the mirror image of the hard drive that was requested by the state. Seems they handed over a different hard drive image instead. But apparently this "emergency situation" has nothing to do with the trial so it can't be about that.

Yep, I am back to a juror fleeing to freedom to save his or her own sanity. If not that, then I got nothin'.

ETA: Well now I see the tweet saying it has nothing to do with the jurors. So...I got nothin'!

But these possibilities do have to do with the trial. Unless I'm missing something.

We've got "hard freeze warnings" around the State, but up here, we've already had our 1st freeze a few weeks back and the random temps down to 20 degrees the last week. Thought we were having an "El Nino" winter?

I thought so too!

You're probably not missing anything...at least no more than what the court intends for you to miss.

I was just speaking out of frustration...I really have no clue.

Maybe the judge got called away for a job evaluation.

Question:

If no one knows what the emergency situation is, how do they know it has nothing to do with the trial or the jurors? I mean, it sounds like it was all hush hush and no one was told anything except go home.
Bomb threat to the courthouse?

Bomb threat to the courthouse?

I had actually give that some thought, but dismissed the idea because I cannot make it fit with needing 2-1/2 days to resolve.

Maybe the judge got called away for a job evaluation.

That would be nice. Not very likely, though I think whatever it is could be a personal issue involving the judge or judge's family member.

Most likely this has something to do with a witness not being available. Perhaps it is the very witness who has been testifying. Or maybe a family member of hers?

I shy away from thinking someone directly involved with the trial took ill because that might leave things open-ended instead of with the announcement court would reconvene this Thursday. Only other thing I can think of that it might be is one of the parties involved or a juror has a funeral to attend and expects to be available once again by Thursday.

I'm with you, Bernina. I just may pack up and leave until a verdict comes in. Or the jurors start dying of old age. Whichever comes first is a toss up, IMO.
-----------
krkrjx, I'm with you. I was reading on Beths page when this crap came in. What IS it with this trial?? is it the bottom of the barrel to finish? Doesn't it COUNT? Doesn't it have rights to time as others do? I am so fed up. I may never watch another trial in Arizona. This is nerve wracking and our nerves are shot.

My suspicion is a death in the family of one of the major players that they need to rush home to ..or sudden illness. Just my hunch.
