The value of compassion and forgiveness is not confined to matters of religion. These are human values that we shouldn’t neglect.

WHAT! So nurmi is tweeting now. Is this supposed to be to Travis' family, is he hoping they will have compassion and forgiveness for him, for this witness? For all the lies and BS that have been allowed in this fair trial?

I have been looking at Christmas gifts on line and found several sites advertising going such as this "remember your past buy 'Under00's' for adults''. Do you remember them as kids? I did buy them for my sons 35 years ago, they did no exist for me back in the 1950's that I know of. They are now selling them for adults at name brand stores as a Christmas gift promotion. Just thought that was interesting since FJA wore some. I had heard that some stores sold them in the past years, I never looked for them, but this is the first time I have really seen an ad!

Everyone stay warm!!!! 13 degrees in Wichita, Kansas but I do see the sun popping out. I get to go out....brrrrr.

What are Under00's?

1. I wasn't there

2. Travis was very persuasive so I went.

3. Ninja's did it

4. Self defense

5. Pedophile sex deviant I couldn't resist because I was an abused child.

Please feel free to amend the list. Still time for this psycho to come up with more. Had Jodi not chosen this path, she probably could have written some very clever crime books.

What are Under00's?

I was not sure if I could put the name of the product on WS...they are Underoo's, so mods change if you have too. Underoo's are underwear, shirts and pants that are made up in the costume of Superman, Batman, Batgirl, Spiderman, Cinderella...the list can go on and on. The ad was specific and said 'Underoo's for adults'.

I know FJA said that TA sent her a pair of underpants to wear, (Spiderman?) was it for Valentines' Day? I am not sure, please correct me anyone.

When I saw this ad for adult Underoos' I thought of the FJA. I wonder if what she had were really kids underwear or if she got adult underwear for herself to wear. I know I had seen adult underwear in those 'joke novelty' stores that we have/had at the mall, even some times in those temporary stores in the walk ways.

If it is related to Jodis father I dont think Jodi is allowed to attend any funerals or anything like that without getting permission from the jail and the sheriff at the jail I am not sure if he would allow it.

I am not sure of the rules about the defendents family needing to be present in the courtroom. So for example if the father is sick or on deathbed and wife requested to go to his bedside or funeral then would they stop court for that? Maybe. I dont know the rules about that sort of thing.

If it is somebody sick then this delay could be a lengthy one. If someone passed away then the delay will obvioulsy be a shorter delay.

It's along the "compassionate leave" kinda thing (can't remember the term). But I don't know of any inmate who has had a special temporary release for extreme illness of an immediate family member. CMJA is also a "high risk" un-sentenced inmate.
I've known several medium security inmates who were not allowed to go to their own parent's funerals. As it should be.

My 1st ex was in Perryville at the San Juan complex (med. security) from 1983+. When his grandma died, he did get leave for the church service and gravesite. 1 guard came with him. I was allowed to leave a dress suit at Perryville for him. It was very "lax" and he was shackled only when in transport. He was a "model inmate".
He had some crazy cousins there at the funeral who kept telling him, "Carnale, we can tackle this vato and you can book it, man!".........and I'm rolling my eyes with my then 2 year old daughter in my arms, like seriously?

I don't think for one minute CMJA would get any type of leave from Estrella, or later, Perryville. Too high risk, and a waste of manpower and $$$$, to say nothing of she's a convicted murderer in solitary. She's already abused what little privileges she's been given.

Can you imagine the media draw that Sheriff Joe would have to protect CMJA from?

Not going to happen..........ever.

Thanks for this good information. I agree about the security risk and I am sure that Sheriff Joe will take the security risks very seriously and weigh all the risk factors as well as the money factors in any decisions, if this is about Jodi wanting to go to someones bedside or funeral. He seems to be very concerned about costs and I think that is good about him. Sometimes he takes things a little too far, however I like that he has a no-nonsense attitude about things.

I also knew 1 person that was in prison and he wanted to attend his mothers funeral which I also attended. He was granted the permission and it was just like you said.
It all was very casual and you would have not even known he was a prisoner except that every where he went, 2 unfamiliar guys followed close behind. He was in a suit and had no handcuffs or anything like that. He also was a model prisoner from what I heard.

I felt really bad for the guy and was glad he got to go to funeral. He seemed happy to be there and get to go. His mom was ill for a long time so not totally unexpected.
