The value of compassion and forgiveness is not confined to matters of religion. These are human values that we shouldn’t neglect.
:sheesh:
I have been looking at Christmas gifts on line and found several sites advertising going such as this "remember your past buy 'Under00's' for adults''. Do you remember them as kids? I did buy them for my sons 35 years ago, they did no exist for me back in the 1950's that I know of. They are now selling them for adults at name brand stores as a Christmas gift promotion. Just thought that was interesting since FJA wore some. I had heard that some stores sold them in the past years, I never looked for them, but this is the first time I have really seen an ad!
Everyone stay warm!!!! 13 degrees in Wichita, Kansas but I do see the sun popping out. I get to go out....brrrrr.
What are Under00's?

Maybe the judge got called away for a job evaluation.
If it is related to Jodis father I dont think Jodi is allowed to attend any funerals or anything like that without getting permission from the jail and the sheriff at the jail I am not sure if he would allow it.
I am not sure of the rules about the defendents family needing to be present in the courtroom. So for example if the father is sick or on deathbed and wife requested to go to his bedside or funeral then would they stop court for that? Maybe. I dont know the rules about that sort of thing.
If it is somebody sick then this delay could be a lengthy one. If someone passed away then the delay will obvioulsy be a shorter delay.
It's along the "compassionate leave" kinda thing (can't remember the term). But I don't know of any inmate who has had a special temporary release for extreme illness of an immediate family member. CMJA is also a "high risk" un-sentenced inmate.
I've known several medium security inmates who were not allowed to go to their own parent's funerals. As it should be.
My 1st ex was in Perryville at the San Juan complex (med. security) from 1983+. When his grandma died, he did get leave for the church service and gravesite. 1 guard came with him. I was allowed to leave a dress suit at Perryville for him. It was very "lax" and he was shackled only when in transport. He was a "model inmate".
He had some crazy cousins there at the funeral who kept telling him, "Carnale, we can tackle this vato and you can book it, man!".........and I'm rolling my eyes with my then 2 year old daughter in my arms, like seriously?
I don't think for one minute CMJA would get any type of leave from Estrella, or later, Perryville. Too high risk, and a waste of manpower and $$$$, to say nothing of she's a convicted murderer in solitary. She's already abused what little privileges she's been given.
Can you imagine the media draw that Sheriff Joe would have to protect CMJA from?
Not going to happen..........ever.
