Just another article that popped-up in my inbox:
---------------------------------

Jodi Arias trial paused as defense files motion to dismiss death penalty...again

"Anyone that is wondering if the defense team of Jodi Arias is getting paid every time they mention the word "mistrial" or "motion to dismiss" can rest assured that yes, they are. The current costs for the defense team alone in the Jodi Arias trial are hovering over the $2.5 million dollar mark, and counting....

Judge Sherry Stephens will likely rule on this on December 4. There are a number of possible things that will happen. If she believes the defense, she may find prosecutorial misconduct or a violation of discovery of evidence. Monica Lindstrom tweeted the sanctions she would then have available would range from dismissal of the case and charges to a suppression of this evidence. She may also over-rule the motion all together...."

I wonder what her supporters are going to do after she is thrown in prison. Maybe they will send her some postcards???

Did some checking...Southwest Airlines does go to Cancun. Could the computer have "pinged" because it was last shut off without closing all the tabs, ie, "hard shutdown"? Push the on/off button instead of closing all programs and browser tabs first.
TA and gang already had their tickets, ............would he have been on SWA's site? I don't think so. Did it start up with the Youtube "Harder, longer, faster" (or whatever that video was called)? Wasn't that the last thing TA and CMJA watched on the computer and then *allegedly* there were bugs crawling on the screen?
One would think that when the hard drive was started up from a "hard shutdown", you'd get the warning that the computer hadn't shutdown properly (I don't know Apple, but my PC always does that), and you can choose to start "Normally", "Safe Mode", or ? Any browser that was open would have the option to open tabs where they were before shutdown.

CMJA had *2* bottles of sunscreen SPF 85, wonder what else was in her "luggage"?

So I'm more liberal than most with the address thing but it proved to be totally safe and ok for me.

Katiecoolady, I'm new to this forum but in a short time I've been touched by the kindness and consideration - a sense of camaraderie - even when people disagree. Online, I suspect that this is quite rare. It's incredbly moving to read your posts. It's also inspiring to see how human beings shine in dramatic contrast to the dark evil some have been exposed to. I hope you forgive me writing this. I don't mean to embarrass you. I felt compelled to express this.

PS: Spycraft - Best wishes.

OK everyone. This video was on the JM website and I thought it was a good video for people to watch if they are feeling depressed/worthless/can't go on/different, etc. (note: please don't watch if you get squeamish about people who are "different" in appearance).

My turning point in my life and how I think about my life now, came when I met a man who, because of MD, can only move his head and one finger. He lives his whole life in a wheelchair. He had a lot to overcome because of his disability and with the help of a loving family/friends and many agencies that are provided from the state/gov't, etc., he is a practicing lawyer. But, ultimately, he was the one who picked himself up and pushed himself to have a successful life. I know he was depressed at times, just like anyone else, but he didn't let this stop him from being a person who could overcome his disabilities and be a happy person.

He accepted what life gave him, but not in a way that stopped him from getting what he wanted. He pursued all that he could to achieve his goals; he did not bemoan his life- he has what I call the "just-do-it" attitude- if you can do it, I can do it. He counts himself as a lucky person. He doesn't see what he doesn't have, but all that he does have and he is grateful. His attitude is what makes his story/life so important- Attitude. Again, he doesn't bemoan his life- he just lives it and he doesn't wallow in a pity-party for himself. Nothing will help you if you don't go out and get the help you need; that help will not come to you.

I know, I know- I may sound like I don't know what it is to be depressed (and I spoke about this before)- that I don't understand your type of depression, but I do. I was hospitalized many years ago for depression, have taken meds, talked to therapists, etc. I know the deep, black hole of depression- the feeling that you are dead already, and all it entails, but this man helped me the most because I realized all that I had. I stopped looking at all that I don't have/what could have been, etc. and starting being grateful for all that I had in my life right now. I have reached acceptance, inner happiness, whatever you want to call it, and, now, peace in my life- not seeing life with rose-colored glasses, mind you, but accepting the realities of life and still being happy. I am truly a happy old fart :) - it's all I can wish/hope for, IMO. Life is not easy, but you can make it easier on yourself, if you want, IMO.

k5515779.jpg

Anyway, I ramble again, maybe this video will make some see what you can be grateful for in your life, that you can be happy- to take the steps to ensure that you climb out of your depression and see that your life is worth something- to stop thinking that someone else will save you. You are the only one who can save you. Attitude- go and do it- nothing is stopping you, but yourself. Love :heartbeat: yourself enough to go out and seek whatever you need to live your life. As I have always said, YOU are important.

BTW: TA met Nick Vujicic according to his blog: (maybe Nick was the turning point in his life, just like my man in a wheelchair was in mine). TA says it all much better than me.

Rambling over :blushing:

:blah::blah::blah:

All :moo:
Thanks Yes or No, this really touched my heart. There are always people worse off than we are.
Attitude is so important.

Bernina, there is so much behind this that hasn't been uncovered. Arias is smack bang in the middle of it. I posted the trial link before - regarding the disc oddities and the viruses. Isn't is notable that Arias destroyed her own hard drive? What the heck was on there? Another point to consider is how often Arias used Travis' laptop. Surfing 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites from it, I wouldn't out past her. She emphasised the virus/cd point in the murder trial. There is usually reason behind her madness. She knew or guessed something would be found. Her part in it, I hope we know soon.

She destroyed her own hard drive so they would never find out what 🤬🤬🤬🤬/incriminating sites she had sent to Travis. She was thinking way ahead.....

Pillars if the Earth by Ken Follett. Best book I have ever read. I would have never believed cathedral building 1000 years ago could be made interesting but I highly reccommend this book. It was also made into a miniseries and is available on DVD. God bless you!

Eye of the Needle by Ken Follett was an excellent thriller. Also, I thoroughly enjoyed The DaVinci Code. And 2 of my all time faves, Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice.

Thank you so much! That really makes me feel good to read that as trust me I can get as *whatever* as anyone else (up, down, all around). You're very sweet to write that to me and you made my otherwise pretty decent day (other than needing to get a new car battery which wasn't a big deal really).

Smiles! :D

PS I live my life by always looking for *signs* and I saw spycraft's post right within 2 days of working on decluttering my bedroom and thinking about what to do with my extra books. So voila. Asked and answered. I love it when that happens.

It seems pretty obvious doesn't it? I thought someone said yesterday (probably in tweets) that he used to be hired by one side or the other but that since his "eye" fantasy nobody on the prosecution side will give him the time of day.

Yes, very obvious. He didn't even make an effort to hide it--acting like a true professional during cross would have been the way to do that. No, I think he wanted Juan to know he was pissed at him, and wanted everyone else to know it as well. And further, I wonder if he didn't instigate some of this. IOW, he could have contacted the DT and offered to back up claims they felt comfy making. More likely the DT called him and he jumped at the chance to get even with JM, but you never know with some of these sleazy characters who always manage to worm they way into a high profile case.

The killer has lost any somewhat attractive look that she ever had. She is ugly inside and out.
I've never thought she was all that like the media tries to spin it but thought she was attractive rather than being unattractive. Now I agree that her looks are gone. "Caught on fire and beat out with a bush-axe" comes to mind. ;)

Oh I remember! I was washing my kitchen floor. Walter Cronkite came on......I just dropped the mop and cried. I ran across the street to my friend , we both cried. Such a fine President. We visited his grave at Arlington, along with his babies graves..:tears:

I was in the Philippines. My dad was stationed there. It was Sat a.m., and I and my sibs were watching cartoons. We heard screaming outside, and when we went out the lady across the street was yelling the President was dead.

Maybe the shoe that hasn't dropped yet is that LE has figured out how to get the data off JA's bashed up hard drive? This would certainly shake things up on December 4.

  • #399
On another topic entirely......Has anyone thought that maybe JA sexually assaulted TA?

When BN made the "they must have given Dworkin the wrong disk" crack it's too bad Juan didn't smack him back with "no, we haven't had a mistake since the last time you worked a case for us".
