The jury saw DR F. For what she is. An ederly lady who tells mistruths, half truths and tries to distract by spinning her words. She is much like JA and her team...slimey. The jury saw what we saw only first hand.

Just some news articles this AM to read with your coffee/breakfast:

Day 15 of Jodi Arias Trial: Credibility of expert witness questioned

"...Legal expert Beth Karas said that Martinez chipped away at Fonseca's testimony.

"Dr. Fonseca has said that she would suffer in silence when abused physically, or psychologically by men in her life," said Karas. "Juan Martinez was able to point out, where she did anything but suffer in silence with each one of her prior boyfriends, where she engaged in aggressive behavior, assertive behavior, obsessive behavior, even confronting them."..."

Jodi Arias stalking evidence emerges, tweets 'No good deed goes unpunished'

"...After Dr. Fonseca testified that she was there as an expert on the relationship, Juan Martinez reportedly ripped holes in almost everything she said. After the first hour of testimony he had her admitting that she didn't even know for sure when they started dating. She also admitted she hadn't thoroughly reviewed Jodi's testimony in last year's trial at all, just "what the defense gave her."..."

Jodi Arias' lawyers try to portray Arias as victim

"...The portrait of Arias as a victim has been presented in the retrial through the testimony of defense expert psychologist Dr. L.C. Fonseca. And for the last several days prosecutor Juan Martinez has been doing everything he can to shred that image and the integrity of the expert...."

I can't thank you enough for posting a jurors perspective from the FB page. He is so brilliant with his writing, and covers every detail in a way that the tweets leave out. Excellent reading. Thanks Yes or No. And Happy Thanksgiving.

So this means they can still shoot video of JA in stripes and chains (yay) but the closed portions of the trial will go on (boo.)

What about the COA decision we've been waiting for? They might still say that JSS has to open up the courtroom to the media for those closed portions of the trial, right? Or have they made their decision and I just don't get it?

ETA why do I have so much trouble figuring out the dates of these things, lol. I guess this was filed and posted 11/24 but it's about what happened on 10/31. I apologize.

Thanks so much for the amazing summary. You're a truly gifted writer and I can't wait to read your book.

The post above is JSS rulings. The COA didn't make their announcement. They are deciding whether the secret witness stays secret and whether the media is right to demand that first amendment opens trial to the public. Has nothing to do with cameras in courtroom. Their ruling might come today. The judges met yesterday. We are waiting! :)

Hey there ParrotGal!
That photo made my morning!!!!:loveyou:

Do you ever wonder who JM tests out his lingo on so the sex vocabulary slips glibly off his tongue without him ever having to feel for words? There's no fumbling, and synonyms are right at hand! Plus, JM can go clinical or slangy on a dime! It seems unlikely that this degree of smutty language was required for another trial (well, KN's trials would be a big exception), so how does a prosecutor get glibness practice? Actually, JM is much glibber than KN about this stuff, which is also interesting!

(IMHO, the sexual vocabulary that's being tossed around is quite advanced, even if I account for my relative age, but maybe someone would disagree with that?)

Yeah, I figured it out after I realized that 10/31 was the date of the minute entry and 11/25 was the date it was filed.

I don't see our COA KPNX v. Stephens case on the Division 1 calendar: http://apps.supremecourt.az.gov/aacc/1ca/1cacalendar.htm
Either a) I have the wrong calendar here or b) they're done, but the decision hasn't been posted yet.

ETA: Status is "Under Advisement" and I don't know what that means
5aTn2B4.png

ETA again: I looked it up. It means they're thinking about it. I guess things don't normally take forever, it's just the JA trial that does.

LOL ETA again (I hope you're laughing with me. Or at me. As long as you're laughing.)
There's a "Forthcoming Opinions" page: http://apps.supremecourt.az.gov/aacc/1ca/1camemo.htm
KPNX v. Stephens probably not today.
Possibly I should go grocery shopping now.

What, while I was working out stuff everyone already knows:

@ericksonvision Just saw the Court of Appeals order vacating Judge Stephens' order to hold "secret" testimony. Score one for the First Amendment! #JodiArias 11:34am

That means JA was the relevant witness and that she was on the stand.

  • #817
So Jodi Arias was the witness they wanted kept secret?

  • #818
So...............the jacket worn by CMJA was the dead give away for the "secret witness". Have only been able to find the first page of the COA ruling, the 2nd page probably is just the signatures and who the document is being sent to.

One of CMJA's followers posted on their site in the wrong area that day that CMJA was going to testify, CMJA's aunt tweeted later that it was leaked by TA followers.

It's all here in previous side bar threads...........Sleuthers ROCK ON!!!!

For the murderer to go "media black out" is so "debasing", I'm sure she "liked it".

Tweets are that the media will or is asking for transcripts of the secret testimony as of now. Haven't found any MSM about these new developments yet.............

That means JA was the relevant witness and that she was on the stand.

...and her testimony was cut short because of MSM's expedited motion to the Court of Appeals, we WILL be seeing transcripts of the closed courtroom testimony that was denied cameras and video, and CMJA will have to be on the stand to continue her testimony and cross/etc..........unless someone wants her entire spiel struck.

Anyone think she'll finish her testimony and Juan will get the chance to cross?

I think she'll chicken out.
