My first following of a trial was on court tv. I don't even remember the names of the participants. It was something about falling down the stairs(being pushed) and a vcr. I can't remember the details or the names. But I have been a true crime fan way before that reading many books.
For those interested, there is a very active JonBenet site here on Websleuths. Come and join us.
The case that got to me the most was Casey and Caylee Anthony. I just can't get over that and never have been invested in another case since then to that extent. It seems that everyone always has that one case they never can forget. I am interested in the Travis Alexander trial but it doesn't get me like the Caylee Anthony one did. I just will not let myself get that invested again.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I ate way too much and it is diet time now.
This was one of the trials my father watched. I remember this one so had to look it up. Steven Baker Lucas was the defendant and his mother was the victim Betty Lucas.

"The defense argued that Bette Lucas accidentally fell over a second-story banister and down a flight of steps in her home after she and her son struggled over a 30-pound plus videocassette recorder."
