BBM The she will have "won" and I don't want her to win. She doesn't deserve it, IMO (and I don't support the DP, but it's what the family wants).

In all honesty her "winning" by getting life in prison really isn't a loss for us or for Travis' family. I know that they want the DP, but perhaps the best thing for her is to have LWOP, that way she will go to prison, people will forget about her and she will live out her meaningless life until she dies in prison, alone with her stupid drawings and silly obsessive compulsive rituals.
IMHO, if she does get the DP, that will give her more reason to remain in the limelight with the never ending appeals process that will waste more of AZ tax payer's money. If she gets life, her supporters can foot the bill for her pointless appeals and no one will really give a flip about her. I know I won't.

I don't believe the jury's upset or angry. I feel it will be a hung jury. We live in a sick, twisted, world. Some of them are buying this crap and it only takes one. They don't know all we know. And they see the judge sitting back allowing all this. JA won't get the DP. JSS will not give her LWOP.

BBM: This trial is such the clusterfoo that it is because of the decisions (or lack there of) of JSS. This trial could have been done months ago if she would just grow a pair and stop cowering to the DT for fear that they appeal everything. IMHO..So what? Let them appeal everything..chances are they will fail.
What infuriates me most about this trial is the inconsistency of this Judge! I am a firm believer in the mantra: Say what you mean and mean what you say.
This judge does not follow through with anything. Example: Last week, she told the attnys that they must stand to object. That lasted half a day. She didn't follow through and remind them of her requirement when they failed to stand. Especially when Nurmi leans back in his chair and yells objections like he's ordering a pizza at a football game. If I could describe JSS in one word it would be LACKADAISICAL.
That is what I find most irritating about this trial. :gaah:

I believe the major issue in this case is Kirk Nurmi and CMJA blackmailed, and I do mean that, the State of Arizona into paying KN private practice fees.
There is no ceiling on how much Arizona will be forced to pay due to the threat of "ineffective counsel" or something as simple as the Judge telling Nurmi to "wrap it up, you're stalling". All of this goes to CMJA getting a "fair trial".........if the defense had a legitimate excuse, they'd provide balloons and clowns.

We read that with the tweets of yesterday's fiasco: Nurmi doing a repeat of the same BS he asked his witness when she originally took the stand. The witness once again being evasive and hostile when Martinez crossed. Any effort by Judge Stephens to shut the defense or their witness down would have been yet another reason for the defense to fire off another round of senseless motions.

Financially and legally, Nurmi and CMJA have the State by the short and curlies.

I hope Judges in the future will look at this "trial" when Public Defenders request they be removed from an ongoing case.

This case is a sick abuse of tax payer's money any way you slice it.

And if she gets the DT, it will be a continuation of that sick abuse of tax payer's money when she files her appeal.
I don't have an outcome that I favor more than the other. I just want this trial over and justice served. If I am being honest, what I really want is for CMJA to go the eff away so we don't have to hear about her anymore. period. My feelings is if she gets the DT she will resurface in the media over and over again for every appeal/allegation/whatever fabrication she can conjure up. HLN will bring her up since she's one of the few women on Death row in arizona..blah blah. and then if we ever get to the time where she actually is ticking down the time until her lethal injection day, then who the heck knows who will come crawling out of the woodwork to try to get the governor/senator/president to grant her a Stay of execution. and then we will have to hear about her wretched garbage all over again. If she gets life, sure she will appeal it, but the media won't really care that much, and she'll just spend her days thinking of new ways to manipulate the guards/inmates to fill her emotional bucket.
We all can enjoy living life to the fullest doing whatever we want, whenever we want and not have to ask a guard when we can shower or see the sun or trees or birds fly.

Twitter was going crazy yesterday about the courtroom antics of Dr. M-F, especially about JSS not admonishing Dr. M-F to answer JM's questions.
Why she didn't tell Dr. M-F to answer JM's questions is just beyond me and let her ramble on and on without answering the questions- I'm speechless. What is JSS thinking?
Someone even wrote to JSS about her actions (or inaction) in the courtroom and posted it.

I'm surprised that JSS told Nurmi he couldn't "approach"- that's a first, but the way she let Dr. M-F speak to JM- that was inexcusable, IMO.

I know what you mean. I was waiting to pick my daughter up from school today and was looking at a feed of an inspirational speaker just to read some positive things today. to my dismay some wretched person posted something on the feed which was a vulgar image of a nude woman with a man visiting her down stairs hoo ha. I was dumbfounded, here I was reading about how I have GREATNESS inside and how I shouldn't be upset at failure because it's a part of life and then I flip to two people doing things that should be done behind closed doors! Some people just simply do not have common sense.

There are people who go around to various threads/tweets and post that kind of garbage just to get the traffic from all the hysteria. they don't care about the topic, they just want a percentage of the viewers to check our their site. I'm hoping that some jurors know the previous "story" of self-defense (with the dropping of the camera, the flying nun/football thingy, the fog, etc.) that missy:jail: spouted at the main trial and that they will let the other jurors know what they know (where did all that bull go from the trial- lost in the fog now?)

One of her new mitigation is that Travis mentally and physically "abused" her. In the jury's mind, did Dr. M-F prove that Travis mentally abuse her (not physically, because that's not what the Dr. was presenting, IMO) because I don't see it?

Just where is that finger that Travis broke when he kick her now? Has it suddenly healed- just disappeared? Why isn't she sticking her finger in the air to show that famous finger?

Where is the physical abuse? Where's the evidence- I want evidence and the jurors should have that evidence if they are suppose to apply physical abuse to her mitigation, IMO.

Extreme emotional stress at the time of the "incident"-how is that going to be shown if no one was there except Travis and missy:jail: to verify the "stress" and in what form? Certainly not PTST.
Dr. Demarte will disprove that with the testing she has done on missy:jail:. I wonder if Dr. Demarte will now be able to bring up the other high scores she had on the tests- I forget what they were at this time.

And just what is missy's psychological make-up that made her "unable to cope with the tumultuous relationship", the poor dear- suffering in silence. Pfttt!

I don't remember any testimony or evidence yet about the parents allege abuse.

No remorse has been shown, unless missy:jail: was truly the "secret" witness and she expressed her remorse then and some bull about abuse at the hands of her parents.

Let's not bring up her age- at 27 she was an adult - she wasn't a teenager- just not applicable- let's just throw that out, IMO.

I have read a lot of chatter about court being more out of control yesterday. It was, because of the witness.

IIRC when Alyce was on the stand she was admonished by the judge several times after Juan requested it. I believe Juan wanted the jury to see how unprofessional Fonseca was behaving.
When Dr. Demarte testifies she will be seen as a professional because she is.
Alyce, Fonseca and Dr. Demarte were all paid witnesses , however only Dr. Demarte demonstrated
the demeanor and intelligence of a true professional.

Dr. Demartes confidence shows the difference between the real education she received and the unaccredited-correspondence-course degree Fonseca received.
A real professional has no need to raise their voice, avoid answering questions or behave like a child that has been caught in a lie.

Why would they want to get to her? She killed a man. That isn't their top priority. With her sociopathic personality, she will likely be a hero. For awhile anyway. I fear she would do just fine in gp. Maybe I am wrong. I always heard guys who killed children don't last. Scott Peterson is still alive and well on death row. He murdered his pregnant wife and his son was fully mature and ready to be born. Ugh.
