That's a very accurate description, janx, and like you I will see it to the end. And though the study of psychopathy may not necessarily be healthy, it coupled with justice is my passion, thus this case. It's a perfect example, imo.

I've only followed one other trial closely, that was the Casey Anthony trial, if we can even call it that. What a miscarriage of justice. And, yes, what an education it is.

Only if you let it consume your real life. I'm addicted but manage to leave it when it bores me or lying has gone on so long so I have a lot of free time to be busy in. Thanks to the posters for posting updates. I get tweets with facts & opinions here. Twitter only, I get numb nod, snark, no facts explored. I do appreciate Wild, Jen, Jeff & the rest for tweeting though. Awesome, thank you. My thanker button doesn't work all the time here. So, don't feel offended posters. I just have a faulty thanker button, I guess. jmo

Yes. I have had several nightmares over the last few months. I try and read something pleasant/funny before bed these days and it helps.

This brings to mind something that Jeff Ashton talked about in his book...for those who followed the Casey Anthony trial. He said " In many ways, it's been strange for me during the months since the verdict to see such a high level of frustration with the verdict, one that's usually reserved for the actual losing participants, spread across the country." and "It's odd how personally people took the decision." He said some other things too about how the attention that case and he himself received made him uncomfortable.

I don't find it strange at all! I know there are opportunists and 'weird characters' in every trial--you know, the ones who follow it for entertainment purposes, but the majority of Caylee supporters were genuinely devastated by the murder. And, the poor girl was basically abandoned by her own family. The public felt a great need to stand up for her. And, who could blame us for being outraged at the 'not guilty' verdict?

In this case, I do think Juan appreciates and understands the public support. He's close to the family and knows just how much our support means to them. And, from everything KCL has said he appreciates it on a personal level too. :loveyou: These trials are anything but entertaining. They are exhausting--they take a toll on mind and body.

As for this trial, every day I tell myself I'll give it a rest but I just can't. The Anthony debacle left many of us feeling "raw," I think. Justice denied, y'know? At least JA will never be let out of her cage to ruin more lives.

Me too. I always thought the law was based on concrete evidence but I see that I am wrong. Anyway, this trial has been an eye opener and I
