Case Documents

Filing Date Description Docket Date Filing Party
12/31/2014 MOT - Motion - Party (001) 12/31/2014
NOTE: TO COMPEL

https://www.superiorcourt.maricopa....rtCases/caseInfo.asp?caseNumber=CR2008-031021

Wonder what this is all about???

Maybe BN not turning over what Juan wants??? Maybe our AZL can weigh in.

A motion to compel asks the court to order either the opposing party or a third party to take some action. This sort of motion most commonly deals with discovery disputes, when a party who has propounded discovery to either the opposing party or a third party believes that the discovery responses are insufficient. The motion to compel is used to ask the court to order the non-complying party to produce the documentation or information requested, and/or to sanction the non-complying party for their failure to comply with the discovery requests.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. A friend of my nephews and nieces died today. Her husband said she woke up and told him that she loved him laid her head back down and died. They have a twenty two month old daughter. She was thirty four years old. I could not imagine starting a new year with such heartache.

That is such a tragedy. So very, very sad. ((HUG))

Life is such a fragile thing, isn't it? My New Year's resolution is to appreciate each day and cherish the people I love and not take any of it for granted.

Seems missy :jail: has "handlers" (what is she? a horse?)

Jodi Arias Updates

‏@JodiAnnArias Dec 12
Jodi doesn't tweet. We, the handlers, post updates on her status.

Hmmm a high sense of entitlement and self esteem.

self-es·teem
noun
noun: self-esteem

confidence in one's own worth or abilities; self-respect - "assertiveness training for those with low self-esteem"
synonyms: self-respect, pride, dignity, self-regard, faith in oneself - morale, self-confidence, confidence, self-assurance

or

en·ti·tle·ment
inˈtīdlmənt,enˈtīdlmənt/
noun
noun: entitlement; plural noun: entitlements

the fact of having a right to something.. - synonyms: right, prerogative, claim; More permission, dispensation, privilege "their entitlement to benefits".

the amount to which a person has a right. - the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.

She told Det. Flores that she had full house privileges, (and who in the heck says full house privileges?) and lists sleeping in Travis's bed, eating his food, even shared passwords to his laptop, so those are entitlements aren't they? and I guess Travis wanting to get rid of the worse thing that had ever happened to him hurt her self esteem.

Travis said she didn't give him the human right to privacy.

Happy New Year!

  • #249
I just finished packing away the tree and decorations for another year. The house is back to normal, but feels cozy with my candles burning and a little more space again. I enjoyed it while it was here, but was ready for the change. Off to take a nice hot shower and get into snuggly PJs. Life feels good tonight.

Happy New Year!

Well, seems we need a survey as to when ol' CMJA's penalty trial will be done.

I'm an optimist, I say APRIL of 2015. LOL! And that's crossing my finger!!!!

I will be here Monday morning for trial tweets.

On the home front, I got lazy and didn't want to go out in the snow and take pics of the creature heads. Going out to feed them was brutal enough, horizontal snow and all!

I ordered "The Interview" on Vudu.......haven't got to watch more than about 15 minutes of it because my internet company, Century Link, throttles the bandwidth for all us poor saps out here in the boonies with our lousy 1.5 mgps during "Prime Time", the highest available w/o going to a dish and paying mucho dinero. So the last 2 nights, loading/buffering/50-60 seconds of the flix, and repeat, GAH!

I like James Franco, loved him in "Milk" & "127 Hours", and "This is the End" was just stupid funny! Seth Rogan is just off the wall nutty. "Pineapple Express", "Superbad", co-star in "This is the End".

What can I say? I kind of enjoy silly movies and series. I still watch "Southpark" and "American Dad". Started to follow "Kip and Peele", etc., etc.

Life's too short to be bummed out about crisis's, politics, wars, and things we can't do a thing about.

I still refuse to watch both world and local news cast, it's all "if it bleeds, it leads". No thank you.

Wishing you all a very good New Year. I have greatly enjoyed this threat! (oops! "thread", not threat --- Y/N, don't make me write any more papers, please) :giggle:

BBM You are so funny. :floorlaugh:

I never threaten anyone to "write papers", but sometimes I say there will be a test. :dramaqueen:

Were you on this thread in the beginning of last year where we were learning "new languages"? That was fun.
There was not much going on, trial wise, and we talked about lots of other things.

A lot has been going on and I haven't did any what happened on this day in quite a while
(snipped)

So very sad and she was so young. Poor family. :(
Do they know why she died?

Since I stopped watching HLN news and mainly watch The Weather Channel in the AM, what is The Interview really about and why all the hub-bub about it? Is it a comedy of sorts?
And yes, things we can't do anything about and worrying about them is just "whistling in the wind" for me.

This is a strange article, but I thought it would be "good" to post it. It's strange to me because I would never think of murder as "art". How and why do people think
of these things???

Jodi Arias and the The Fine Art of Murder

"...The question is not whether she did it; rather, the question is how well did she do it, how artistically, how pleasingly?...
Jodi Arias will be remembered for quite some time by all true connoisseurs of crime."

Why Beautiful Murderesses Inflame the Passions of the True Crime Fan

"...This is also why when we see defendants in court, especially at trial, they often appear significantly different from the candid, and often unflattering, photos of them as they appeared prior to their arrest. Part of the defense attorney’s stock-in-trade is to manipulate, or alter, the appearance of the defendant they are representing in order to play on social stereotypes....

Women are more harshly critical of other women, especially attractive women, than they are of males both attractive and unattractive. Males, on the other hand, are more likely to hold a kindly bias toward attractive people, both male and female..."

BBM I think this is a lot of bologna and is a stereotype in itself.

Gov. O’Malley to commute sentences of Maryland’s remaining death-row inmates

"...In announcing his decision — which will take effect just days before he leaves office — O’Malley cited the recent opinion from Gansler (D) that death sentences could no longer be carried out in Maryland because there is no death penalty statute on the books and no procedures in place for administering executions. There were five death-row inmates when the repeal legislation took effect; one has died of natural causes...."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local...4b553a-90ff-11e4-a412-4b735edc7175_story.html

Maybe missy:jail: will hope the governor of AZ will commute her sentence? :scared:

This doesn't make any sense to me, especially since the jurors deemed these murderers guilty and gave them the DP, why should anyone just commute these sentences. It just doesn't seem right and I feel sorry for the victims families. It's just not right, IMO. Why have a jury at all then?

Mario Cuomo, former New York governor, dead at 82

Link: https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/...1lf32e1pxE9JvemFC3r33Zx3Muv_fZiPa2Uk8hMt0LsXJ

"Ever-eloquent Mario Cuomo, a son of Queens who rode his rhetorical gifts to three terms as New York governor and tantalized Democrats by flirting with a run for President, died Thursday, two sources close to the family said. He was 82.

Cuomo passed away five hours after his oldest son, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was formally sworn-in to a second term in Manhattan. The elder Cuomo was too ill with a serious heart condition to attend..."
