I had posted this on retrial thread but wanted to share here.

I finally figured out who Juan Martinez reminds me of.

The late great basketball coach Jimmy Valvano. He was such an inspiration. If you get a chance, watch this speech if you want to get hope back in your life. He was battling cancer at the time, and ultimately lost his battle.

He does remind me of JM, too- not just the face, but his passion for life (and his mannerisms), just as JM's passion is for truth in law- "real" people. His thoughts about life match mine- Laugh (that's first for me), Think, and Cry and let your emotions show. Mr. Valvano has a NYC accent, I can tell :floorlaugh:- maybe Brooklyn ? and he sounds just like my old friends (and me) from around the neighborhood. :floorlaugh:

I'm saving this video to my Ytube folder for days when I feel a little down.

Spellbound, don't know yet. The eyes are a concern as they are affected too. Quickly after diagnosis they put some sort of protective lens on, which are made out of human placenta. There already was scarring but hopefully those prevented further scarring of the cornea and will aid in the long run. Other folks with SJS have had long term concerns, but it's a wait and see as he is still in medically induced coma. They began unwrapping parts of him yesterday (he's been wrapped all over except groin and his face peeking out) Hopefully he's purely in the recovery stages now. He's now being weaned from the paralytic agents and hopefully today or tomorrow he will come off the ventilator.

ETA: He is off the ventilator now! Whoop Whoop!

(Ok I had to come back and tell you guys that this is a mockumentary. It's not real. About 30% of the people who watched it thought I was SERIOUS!!! The purpose in making this video is to show how asinine Jodis self-defense theory is. Travis was naked, wet, vulnerable & unarmed. He was SHOWERING! Who attacks someone from the shower? (And that's aside from all the other evidence stacked against her). So anyway this is total sarcasm. So no more death threats ok people?
