The End is Near For Jodi Arias - Next Stop Perryville Prison

"...I personally have serious doubts she has 14 witnesses PERIOD! Where did all of these witnesses come from between the last trial and now? And we are expected to take their word that every one of them are too fearful to appear in court? This just doesn't sound plausible or probable. The defense has no defense is what it boils down to. Jodi did not kill Travis out of self defense or because of 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬..she hunted him down and ambushed and killed him out of pure jealousy and the rage of being rejected and to top it off, she could NOT allow Travis to take anOther woman to Cancun where things could turn romantic...."

BBM: I agree. And, I think any part of her narrative where she describes aggressive sexual acts by Travis were actually the opposite. She was the aggressor.
She was a predator with $$ in her eyeballs and sights on the fairytale life she experienced at that PPL dinner.
__________
I think the whole thing is twisted. She did it all and blamed other people. IMO.

To me, she said that she wished she did things differently and not specifically that she wished she didn't murder Travis.
---------
She never once said she wished she hadn't killed him , wished he was alive. Spiteful liar!!

Ive always thought it was the threat of exposure that sparked the rage that lead to TA murder. Exposure would have damaged her
chances of finding; ensnaring another successful morman man. She needed her true nature to remain hidden and untarnished.
So her tactics would continue unabated and she could stay away from calif and waitressing.

What career were you meant for? Quiz. I should have been a therapist. LOL

Therapist

You are a caring and selfless individual. Your compassion, warmth, and sensitivity can heal others in the most authentic way possible. You help and inspire others, and can really touch people's lives. You truly understand others and can make them happy by just being yourself.

I guess Jeff Gold has a good point. Jodi was allowed to testify in secret because she didn't want the public and the media know that she was changing the "tone" of her testimony about killing Travis. Seriously? What a train-wreck.

Yes, she's not only a pathological liar and cruel torturing killer, she's also a fraud, and the court allowing her to testify in secret was IMO wrong and unethical, might as well just go ahead and pat her on the back and say "you poor little thing, we know you didn't mean it". It's reprehensible and I'm appalled at how one evil creature has had the ability to make a complete fool of the court of JSS.

I can't believe it, it says I was meant to be a therapist too. Strangely, after nursing I got my psychology degree intending to go on with my masters or doctorate, but it never happened because of some life events out of my control. Since then, I've thought about it and have convinced myself I no longer wanted to go into that field. Oh well, what's done is done, lol.
Oh, thanks daisy, I love these little life quiz things you give us. :)

I think that's true. I also think that Travis's threat, his challenging her, was what she couldn't handle. She, as many of the truly evil people in the world, may move along, more or less blend in, and appear quite normal for a good part of their lives, until the time comes that someone "crosses" them. When that happens, watch out. They can't handle being crossed or being, as you say, exposed for what they really are. And she is the worst of the worst of the monsters in this world, IMO. I still have nightmares about what she did to him. It's just unbelievable to me.

There's the "If you are satisfied with your message/voice mail, press 1, if you would like to hear your message/voice mail, press 2, if you'd would like to re-record your message/voice mail, press 3".........something along those lines. Then you have the options to send, mark/send as urgent, disconnect.
That's been around for at least 10 years if not 15.

>Finished the transcripts, some deletions and some additions from the original 18 day bruhaha in 2013.<

Just a few notes:

Bobby J. scared CMJA's brother and friends away with a sword which CMJA says is hers when BJ leaves it on his porch.
CMJA takes martial arts with Matt M. (I knew it, you can't be around people who are into that and NOT get into it yourself when you're young).
Smart kid, that CMJA, knows what a coke mirror and cocaine is at 4.
So her mom smoked pot right before her birth......and the hospital wasn't doing the cursory blood screening for drugs on newborns then? 1980, maybe, maybe not. Does that make CMJA brain damaged? Lol!
CMJA left out her dad catching her in her car when she ditched school, guess that would show he was a "concerned parent".
And nothing about the "grow farm" on the roof that dad called the cops about....uh, "concerned parent".
CMJA was a hostess at 13? Seriously? And home life is going to h3ll in a hand basket, but she continues to work for dad till she's 17?
The family went camping all the time....I thought things went south with the family when she was 13?
Oh, cry me a river, she had 2 working parents, oh puleeze. Poor CMJA was a "latchkey child".
CMJA mets Travis and breaks it off with Daryl B. in a mere 10 days...just in case, you know, cause she doesn't "cheat". I thought it was because she was going to become LDS?
What's this TA in the elevator and he licks his lips stuff? Something new?
The Flying J encounter didn't seem to have the "woken out of her sleep sexscapade", guess she forgot that.
I thought she was in Gus Searcy's trailer when she got the pic of TA's (we all know it's DB's) "junk"? Now she's at a restaurant meeting instead?
Her memory just isn't quite that sharp these days, dontcha know?

I just came away from it with that slimey, gold digging, social climbing, boyfriend in the back pocket kinda thing. And somehow, I REALLY don't think TA was the aggressor. A guy doesn't get all bold like that unless it's a pattern, and we haven't heard that at all. His only other intimate partner was Deanna.

Have to just add: She gives him a BJ in the parking lot and is upset he doesn't kiss her good bye. Doesn't sound like TA is as "pervy" as she wants to make him sound. He probably didn't call her because SHE jumped his "junk" and he was embarrassed. $10 says SHE's the one who flipped the mirror. (If any of it ever occurred to begin with)

Is there court tomorrow? :fence:

Bernia, this was priceless!!! Some of you have such a great sense of humor and good recall of past uuhhh lies. Thank you for so many laughs.

Revealed: Jodi Arias' secret testimony to a jury where she pleaded not be executed

"Dwane Cates, a criminal defense attorney in Phoenix who isn't involved in the Arias case, believes the courtroom was likely closed in hopes of preventing the case from becoming an even bigger media spectacle than it already was. He doubted the request was granted just to appease Arias.

'It had to do a lot with I think everybody wanted it closed,' Cates said.."

Travis was not a coward. Missy:jail: is the coward for not telling the truth and taking responsibility for murdering him, IMO. :stormingmad:

Legally Speaking: Should Jodi Arias go free or should Judge Sherry Stephens hold the course?

(Listen: Jodi Arias' Re-Trial Testimony
Monica Lindstrom talks with Mac and Gaydos about what Jodi Arias said during closed door testimony)

"Stephens has been confronted with multiple motions to dismiss filed by the defense, both in writing and made in court. She has read the pleadings, heard the testimony, listened to the arguments and read the case law. Most, if not all, the motions have a central theme of prosecutorial misconduct that build on each other. Prosecutorial misconduct has been in Arizona's headlines lately with the dismissal of the State v. Debra Milke case..."

As to being cross-examined by JM on her secret testimony:

"...¶ 32 In Arizona, a defendant has a right to allocute before sentencing.   Ariz. R.Crim. P. 19.1(d)(7), 26.10(b)(1).   This right, however, is “not absolute.”  Anderson, 210 Ariz. at 350 ¶ 100, 111 P.3d at 392.   Defendants may not “shift a mitigating circumstance ․ [into] allocution and thereby insulate that mitigating circumstance from rebuttal evidence.”  State v. Armstrong, 218 Ariz. 451, 463 ¶ 59, 189 P.3d 378, 390 (2008).   We have repeatedly upheld trial courts' admonitions that defendants may be subject to cross-examination if they exceed the scope of permissible allocution.   See, e.g., State v. Womble, _ P.3d _, 2010 WL 2720408, *7-8 ¶¶ 42-45 (Ariz. July 12, 2010);  Armstrong, 218 Ariz. at 463 ¶ 59, 189 P.3d at 390.   The judge did not abuse his discretion in so warning Chappell.

¶ 33 We find similarly unpersuasive Chappell's argument that placing limits on his allocution violated due process. The cases Chappell cites address a complete denial of a defendant's right to speak before sentencing, rather than the effect of limiting such speech.   See, e.g., Hill v. United States, 368 U.S. 424, 428 (1962);  McGautha v. California, 402 U.S. 183, 217-20 (1971);  Boardman v. Estelle, 957 F.2d 1523, 1530 (9th Cir.1992).   Here, in contrast, Chappell was permitted to speak to the jury before sentencing.

RBBM--IIRC AZLawyer said that her testimony could be her allocution, thus not subject to cross examination by JM. So, the question is what is "permissable allocution", and did her secret testimony fall within the parameters of "permissable allocution"?

Good Morning all. Have you recovered from reading the transcripts??? I was not brave enough to read them.
I am already fuming about this retrial and figured the transcripts would put me over the edge.

I read here at WS where the killer threw her parents under the bus. No way in hell would I be in court if I was the killer's parents.

Of course we all know that the sweet, good hearted, ever so loving killer does not tell lies and people are just so mean to her.

Get the snacks and aspirin ready!!!!

Hey everyone good morning, I have a question about tipping. How much do you guys tip your Hair stylist? I'm really confused on this, I hear so many different amounts, thanks :-)
