TA was sex-obsessed like oh... 98% of males his age. And he was a player too, just like oh.... maybe 65% of males his age who were single. Now how again did that give Jodi the right to murder him? Oh yeah... it didn't. I don't have to like TA or think he was a great guy to know that no one had the right to plan and execute his murder. The jury doesn't have to like TA either or even hate the defendant. The law is the only thing that matters. She had no right to murder Travis and her life was not in danger.

This was TA's time without the killer. I don't get it.

I do not understand this mitigation phase..... :banghead:

It matters not an iota, in terms of slaughtering a man. The tactic is to discredit Travis - hoping that someone will judge his behavior, feel sorry for her, find a mitigating factor. Do I like Travis' behavior? No. Would I be remotely happy if a man did that to me? No. Do I think it is a mitigating factor that explains premeditated murder? NO! Arias clinically, methodically planned every step of her brutal revenge. If she had told the truth, many people would still condemn her (rightly) but understand a little. She lied about self-defence, every step of the way. She just can't stop killing him or torturing his family.

CMJA was a willing, knowing partner in sex. If Travis was hypocritical, in terms of religious beliefs, she was too. Women were free to challenge Travis' beliefs. Some appeared to have done so. Arias knew that his behaviour was outside the boundaries of LDS teachings but she gambled that defying these would win her marriage. She lost. She could have *****ed about him, cried, gone to the Bishop, called him out. She didn't. She continued throwing the sex dice then chose to slay him. Travis lost his life. I feel no sympathy for Arias based on her own actions.
