How funny, cubbee. I just saw a clip of the documentary they made about this guy joining Journey. I think I will watch it.

It reminds me of that movie where Mark Wahlberg is in a cover band, and he ends up auditioning of the lead singer of the real band and gets it. I thought that was a really good movie. Can't remember the name, Jennifer Anniston plays his girlfriend, and the funny skinny blonde British guy is in it.

[That narrows it down! hee]

Isnt it something like "Rock Star?" Love Mark Wahlberg !

Oh yes!

I'm not particularly religious but I love good gospel - used to go with friends up to their church in Harlem and within minutes I'd be on my feet, waving my arms and testifying! The music seems to reach right into your heart.

Here's a choir I listen to often; they're special to me because when my dear Dad died, they dedicated this song to him. It's guaranteed to make me cry but at the same time it gives me peace:

I'm not a holy roller either but love gospel...it always makes me cry to hear it.

I remember watching an Oprah special on Journey with their new lead singer..he looks , sounds and acts so much like Steve Perry...my son came into the room and said..."when did Steve Perry turn Asian? I didnt know you could do that !":floorlaugh:

That's true, but there's only one Steve Perry. Journey ain't the same without him, IMO.
This is better on Captured, but it's the best I can do.

As a former hot car person, I'd take the Candy Red. Ford really does a nice job with red. I drive a 2004 Rav4 that's Salsa Red Pearl...... I take it you're searching for one right now. I'll keep my eyes open for one. Not sure what Ford was thinking in 2012 and 2013.

I love and recognize cars from the old days but these new cars all look the same to me. My Dad gave me my gramma's 1950 Plymouth Savoy. Still all original even the tires were original. She had all the license plates in the trunk and a can of the original turquoise paint. Ah....the good old days when you opened the hood and just the basics were there that you could actually reach with your own hands. Anyway, when we brought it down from my Dad's on a trailer, you wouldn't believe how many old guys stopped to check it out like they were in shock to be seeing it.

I think we should have a good old days page to go to here at WS.

Janis Joplin is still "The Voice" to me. Her voice gives me the chills. I still remember being shocked that the voice was coming out of a white girls mouth.

:floorlaugh: Yes. ITA. Wish we just have a discuss thread. :please:

Is it just me or are all of the videos on this thread making it NURMI slow to load?
