Dang, I lost the nightguard for my teeth. It was one of the disposable ones, I've always been afraid of swallowing it in my sleep! TMI?!

Thanks for the link Elle... Interesting article

In Jodi’s mind, she is a person. But she is the only person in the world. Every other person is an object, in her mind, and not a person. She is a person in the world of objects and other human beings are less than her and are merely objects.

In JA's mind there is ONLY her world.

Totally off topic but....I'm paranoid that Casey Anthony or Baez won that powerball jackpot.

Let's add those 12 lunkheads from Pinellas County to your list, too!:seeya:

I actually would consider it (still don't like it as much as the blue, though), but DW says no way to black. It is absolutely out.

Just make sure it is a convertible. You will need that with the lack of food and Mad Dog quality drinks allowed for your guests. :laughcry:

My first 45's on a player like that was Donnie Osmond, The Jackson 5 and The Monkees ("I'll take the last train to Clarksville and meet you at the station...". I broke my leg when I was 11 and practically wore out those records.

Oh yeah, and Band of Gold. lol

I had one of those record players, too. Based on the music you mentioned, it sounds like we are about the same age. Do you remember cutting out cardboard records from the back of cereal boxes and playing them?

When I was in Tucson/Scottsdale in August '08, this song was on the radio constantly! Love it!

Love me some TTD too, Viv.

Though not the same really at all, it reminds me of Simply Red.

:floorlaugh: You're right, I'll just have to take my chances -- hate convertibles.

She is great!

"This is more than just a big ego. People have written in asking me what the difference was between a strong ego and narcissism. Let me explain it to you this way. A weak ego or a strong ego all fall within the normal range of ego. It’s like a little orange compared to a big orange. They’re both normal oranges. They both taste orangey, they’re both an orange color. They both have a rind that must be peeled.

A normal ego is just an orange, big or small. Jodi’s ego is an entirely different fruit. It is an exotic fruit, rarely seen or experienced. It is not normal.

Let’s watch for these ego issues. You know the ego forces behind her every thought and action. Let’s look for them when she testifies this week."

I wasn't here during that trial and so haven't posted any thoughts about it, but in hindsight I think the problem was during jury selection the prosecution did not know that the defense was going to make any sex abuse claims, so the prospective jurors were never questioned on those issues. Baez knew what kind of jury he was going for but I think the prosecution was blindsided in that respect.

We'll never know if the PT had known beforehand what Baez was going to claim in opening would have changed the jury selection but I'm willing to bet it would have.
