:ditto: I so detest her whiny little voice, cannot stand to listen to her 'singing'. It's like fingernails across a blackboard to my ears. I swear if HLN doesn't stop replaying her singing "O Holy Night" I'm going to :scream: or have a serious :tantrum: or I may just :hills:.

The sad part of that is, that was my favorite Christmas song! No more :( JA ruins everything and I seriously mean that.

Had a friend in high school who downed a whole bottle of Boones Farm purple at lunch. We went to history class and she started feeling yucky and asked the anal teacher if she could go to the bathroom. He said no....a few seconds passed and then she went up to his desk to beg him to let her go but instead, the minute she opened her mouth, all that Boones Farm spewed out all over the teacher. We all laughed and said "SEE you should have let her go to the bathroom!"

Oh God Noooooo!!! Ambrosia makes my ears bleed!!! My roommates in college used to torture me with having to listen to them cranked up. I can't stand them! I'd sooner put toothpicks in my ears than have to listen to them.

I guess you shouldn't listen to them then.

Oh....my......Gawd......I was going to post Bruce Willis earlier--but was :blushing:

I bought that tape when Moonlighting was my faves show!! I liked it to be honest!!:floorlaugh:

I love how we all are mostly into the same things here.... :grouphug:

I was a Moonlighting fan too...hard to imagine being a fan of Sybil Sheppard but those two were great together.

He's not dead.

Im glad to hear that! I wasn't sure...but too lazy to Google. Thanks!

(I do mourn the lies of Amy W. though--a voice like that only comes around a few times....

Yeah looking at Amy Winehouse one would never dream a voice like that was inside of her.

The lyrics in this song make think of Travis

Happy Sunday everyone! I'd preface this by saying it's OT but I think that goes without saying on this thread :floorlaugh:

I need some help! I'm going to a 3-day music festival next weekend in Illinois and I have NO idea what to expect. I've never been to one AND I've never been camping! The temps look like they're going to be in the low 70's, is that warm enough to wear a tank top? I don't know what to pack. Any tips or advice? TIA! :seeya:

My son goes to these all the time. He comes home filthy, lol. Brings lot's of water, food, snacks etc. Keep your water in your car as peeps come over to your site often and will take what you have. Not in a bad way, but come to hang. Be ready for all weather situations. He loves them, you will have a great time!!! I asked him if I can come to the next one he goes to. You will love it.

Haven't done vinyl in decades.

Actually had a metered 8-track recorder component in my home set-up.

I recorded albums to 8-track to listen to in my 1978 King Cobra II, with amplifier/equalizer and custom-built speakers:

(Stock photo; mine was silver with a blue snake and blue trim and sweep CB radio antenna. Otherwise identical...)

I do still have my Beatles White album, but my music collection is all digital as we saw this coming back in 1985.

My music is all on HDD's now and accessible by computers and gaming platforms across our network, even to my tethered smart phone...

My family doesn't understand, and I don't either, how my brain works. Pick a topic and I can usually think of more than one 1960's through 1980's song directly related to or within a degree or two of it.

:blushing: But now I've gone to bragging on this sidebar thread... :blushing:

Yes, but there is something about the vinyl that just takes you right back. I have about 80% of my music collection on CD as well, for portability. But today I'm playing the vinyl. Kind of like playing a classic B&W movie from the original VHS tape ( I have many of these also)..there is just a different experiential feeling. JMHO

Oh Lord, look a OK. So sad, they are all in my thoughts and prayers :(
