EXACTLY!! Or something was uncovered that rendered her a less than desirable witness ....So an incredible threat was the excuse.

She started out undesirable - Im actually disappointed if she doesn't speak because it highlights the fact that someone she hasnt been in contact with for 10 years was the best they could do.

Dang! I was really looking forward to Juan asking things like:

Did your good friend, the defendant, bail you out of jail on any of the times you were arrested?

Did the cmja attend any interventions on your behalf? Visit you in rehab?

Isn't washing your hair with nails an amazing sensation????? Nail biter here who beat the compulsion then fell off the wagon and sits here today with stubs. I remember how amazing the feeling was though and I'm jealous. Proud of you but jealous. :seeya:

It feels glorious! Even though I wore sculpts for a long time, it is a completely different feeling!

On a side note, my daughter experienced head lice on three occasions during a 2 month period several years ago in 2nd grade. She had hair down to her hiney. Head lice is unfortunately common in the part of Texas we are from (Ft. Worth) and if everyone in your class doesn't get rid of it, you will get it again!

I used to comb my sculpted nails through her head for hours, ensuring that there was no more lice! Drove me nuts! On the plus side, my daughter has asked me to 'check me for lice' every since then, as a code word for 'scratch my scalp'. She's 15 now, and we laugh when she lays down in my lap and asks to be checked.

I'd be more inclined to believe if true she folded from negative press and chatter and this is how they're spinning and exploiting it.

My fun speculation: Patti went on a bender. Too drunk/high to be coherent/appear in public.

Context for the first post-conviction appeal (relates to effectiveness of counsel and DT's mitigation presentation). http://www.capitalpunishmentincontext.org/issues/representation

Evaluating the Effectiveness of Counsel

After the right to counsel was established, the Supreme Court issued a series of decisions that evaluated the effectiveness of trial counsel. Strickland v. Washington (1984) established a framework for evaluating attorney performance in capital cases. Strickland requires that the defendant prove that counsel’s representation was deficient and that there is a reasonable probability that, but for counsel's deficiency, the outcome of the trial would have been different.

Ineffective assistance of counsel is established only when the defendant has satisfied BOTH prongs of the Strickland test. In making determinations about what constitutes deficient representation, the Court has recently focused on the extent to which capital defense counsel investigate potential mitigating evidence on behalf of their clients. In Williams v. Taylor (2000) and Wiggins v. Smith (2003), the Court ruled that failure to conduct a thorough investigation of the client’s background may constitute ineffective assistance of counsel.

The court further defined defense counsel’s obligation to investigate in Rompilla v. Beard (2005), which held that even when a capital defendant and his family members have suggested that no mitigating evidence is available, his lawyer is bound to make reasonable efforts to obtain and review material that counsel knows the prosecution will probably rely on as evidence of aggravation at the trial’s sentencing phase.

No, we shouldn't believe him. MK is a pro-defense drama queen! This is a lie! The witness, although we aren't allowed to sleuth her (can we now?), has some serious issues with her past; drugs, alcohol and arrests.

MK really has my ire up! She definitely dropped out because of her drug use and JM would go after her. There is more to the story. But hey, if MK wants to defend this murderer this way, he will soon find it is destroying his own career.

Hello? Anyone? Do you all hate me today or something?

Hi Hopefulone

I know how you feel, I don't hate you, but I don't know the answers to your questions.....sometimes an icon helps!

Please someone answer Hopefuls questions!

thanks

No we love ya :seeya: I don't know about DB but it seems PW has outstanding drug related charges. There was a copy of those charges posted on FB and linked to here. I'll see if i can find it for you. They looked legit but her birth date was listed as N/A and the date of the charges was also listed as N/A. Seemed a little hinky but what do I know. :drumroll:

Grammy717..... Where in the mitten do you live? If ya don't mind telling....

grosse pointe....we pretty close

That Jane Bashara murder was a nightmare, wasn't it? Not sure which one of the Pointes you're in, but you must live fairly close. I was REAL nervous they'd never arrest her husband -- how he stayed out of jail for so long was a mystery - only thing I could think of was his father was a federal court judge, if I recall. Now how that would matter where murder is concerned I've no idea. Anyhow, they'll put him away for life, I'm sure. Thank God.

Oh Gawd, I just envisioned Jodi showing off her "art" like it's Show & Tell in elementary school. This really would be pitiful if Jodi was not the most hated woman in the USA. I think she has won that crown from CaseyA.

I think they ... um ... might have some competition coming up. Another cray cray ... along comes Andrea Sneiderman. Eeeeeeek!

I was just listening to HLN and one of the panel (the Judge) ... can't remember her name. She described "her" as a megalomaniac (ie: Hitler etc) and that is just what she is. Actually, I think I remember some testimony in texts that Travis actually used the "Hitler" comparison. Anyway, I believe that and that she is "a full blown psychopath". She is EVERY disorder wrapped up in one sick package. BLECK!!

Death penalty ... here we come. Swing low sweet ARIAS!

Diana Alvear ‏@AlvearDiana 5m
#JodiArias expected to show her art to the jury as part of her penalty phase statement. Should be interesting.

:eyeroll:  :banghead:

When she shows her tracings, they jury will see her holding her "artwork" with those murdering hands. Same hands that stabbed Travis a million times over, and nearly decapitated him.

Very cool of you to help her!

Elephants are good luck. My mum has had one in her home since we lived in the Middle East. I guess they're supposed to be pointed towards a point of entry to the home for good luck. Quick, do it now so we have good luck today! ;)

Thank you. I rinsed him off and he is now bathing in the Texas sun..facing my front door!

I will tell you right now, I am an expert in intellectual property law, and if jodi shows her renderings in court, without permission from the owners of the copyright...either the agency, photographer or product for which the ad is created....or all three...

she and her team will be breaking the law.

it is not likely that jodi has gained permission to use these images in a public venue....unless they are evidence in the case...which they are not.

if the images appear on television , that could be a massive lawsuit...bad pr for the product line...like Guess Jeans...

there you have it.
