We had talked a few weeks ago about this, and I think the result was the Mod saw no reason we could not just leave our Sidebar thread open indefinitely here.

Oh goodie!! I am so happy. I don't mind discussing JA, but that will end and she will be history, one way or the other. Thank you!

I feel so bad for everyone who is in the cold and snow right now. I remember those days growing up in New York. I don't miss them. We are High Mountain Desert here and it Does get quite cold, windy and sometimes a lot of snow in the winters. This year it has been very very mild. Today it was close to 70. Very strange for February. I know we need the water but.. I'm not complaining! Stay warm folks! Sending Best Wishes from Nevada.

Well like i said we said no more. Had 1 dog 14 years. Another 16 years and a cat 18 years. Dang near killed Hubby and I. We said no more we just cant do this. Now we look at each other with the Grands and say dear God we are attached again. Maybe even a bit more. We have more time to give them for the little things. They are our Grand babes. Their loss will hurt us tremendously. Sigh.....

i know!!! God bless you I just don't know how you do it. We had two. Lost them both. We are both so soft hearted, I just don't think we could do it again. I wish their lives were at least half as long as ours anyway. On the other hand, the more we have, the more we love. See what I am doing? I am talking myself into getting another!

Luv Nevada. My Sis and Hubby bounce between Phoenix Az and Boulder City Nevada. Apparently she was the smarter Canadian in the Family LOL

Not usually, but we like to let her believe that. She gets more upset when it's babies in strollers and other dogs walking.

I only lasted 11/2 years being dogless after my last one died. Then I knew I just had to have another. The pain of not having one was too great, so we switched breeds, since it would never be the same dog. I told my daughter who was 21/2 when we got this one to just accept that dogs don't live as long as humans and that you will have more than one dog in your lifetime.

It's a tough decision. Neither of our Grands live with us but we are emotionally invested. It's a hard call. Do I lead with my head or my heart? I remember when our Son brought Avery back from retrieving her from the breeder in the South and we had warned him. Life with a high blood line Lab is pretty much hell for 2 years. Unless you can laugh. Much. I remember after month 4 him laying on our bed and saying Mom,Dad there is no way I could have done this with out you both. Remember there is nothing wrong with not doing it again. You gave and you loved.

I don't know what trial I may get embroiled in next. I did check out the thread for Noelle Paquette. Goodness, but Canadian rules for trial posts are very different! looks like we will have to be careful what we post on that thread. I might have to read and be a silent follower. :thinking:

Y/N... I hope all is well at your house tonight. No electricity in this cold weather is not what I want to contend with. I sure hope you managed to say warm enough. Lucky for us we bought a generator.... and haven't needed since.

Tomorrow I have a down day. Wed. Busy all day so will have to catch up in between or in the eve. Very busy this week getting ready to leave on vaycay. I hope there are no plane delays. Oh well we have done it once. Stuck in an airport for 2 days in an ice storm. I just wanna feel something beyond sub zero. Is that too much to ask LOL

Dont be afraid to jump in on that Trial. It's Trial by tweet. Nothing will be tweeted that cannot be discussed. Glad u enjoyed our hockey lab LOL
ETA-with Canadian Trial there is a publication ban until Trial. You will get hearing dates. Once Trial begins it's all good.

I Love it here. I lived in Vegas for a few yrs way back. When we started having kids we moved up North. I'm 10 miles outside of Reno.

Our Son is being married In Vegas April 2016. We have been to Vegas many times Hubby and I. Do you know Boulder City Nevada? I luv visiting there. Such a quaint artsy town. Some really good eateries there and the playhouse Dezi Arnez Jr. and his wife own there.

Well guess what! I just got my belated valentine and a dozen red roses from DH! He didn't forget after all. According to him, he's only 1 day late, haha. I'll take it!!

Speaking of Labby's, I'm gonna have to move my roses off the coffee table, she's bitten the heads off one before.

DH doesn't want a dog right now~~having to put down two dogs in two years hummed us all out. Still miss my little pug. Our daughters said we need a pet so one got a fish and the other picked a bunny. Bunny's are mean!- can't cuddle!
