Once the largest ship in existence in the 19th Century. The SS Great Eastern. It dwarfed other ships as 692 feet in length. It had five funnels or smoke stacks.

It carried 4,000 passengers, but was not a commercial success. However, it found success as a ship that lied the Transatlantic telegraph cable.

Hi guys!

Hey awhile back a poster was going through a convalescence and needing books. I gathered a pile of books for her and then didn't have time to send them and went out of town for 6 weeks so still have them to send. I deleted a ton of PM's so don't think I have her contact info anymore....does anyone remember who this was? Or are you still out there? I want to send you these books! :D

It might of been Zuri. I know she had a hard time with her MIL and herself.

We had a Capresso coffee maker, until it finally dawned on me the coffee was tasting like cardboard. Switched to Cuininart which is much better. Still, the coffee we get in restaurants always has more flavor, seems at least some of it has to do with the temperature of the water, hotter is better, and commercial makers apparently get hotter. Now you have me wondering about that spray versus a straight stream of water. So now I'm going to look into Bunns. :)
Thanks CJ and Bravo. :seeya:

Ok, what the hay is Cuininart? :waitasec: I very clearly remembering typing in Cuisinart. So all I want to know is, who changed my post. :floorlaugh:

50 cents vs. a penny each for a tea bag at the Dollar Tree? Am I the only cheapskate here? OMG... paying for Starbucks what I can pay for an entire year of hot tea for a year :thud:

Hi ATL  I don't do Starbucks either, unless it's the only place around to get a cup of coffee, which is rarely. And I don't do the latte thing anyway. They are so overpriced and, it's just trendy, one of those "in" places, which I generally avoid. I guess I'm just not a jump on the bandwagon type of person. Ok, maybe I'm just weird, but that's ok too. :)

I was over on the Verdict thread and thankfully, I Like to Bend Pages is out of the hospital. So glad you are back Bravo and had a lovely time. It is 51 here today, a good 30 degrees warmer than yesterday and the snow and ice are melting in the sun. My husband had to get rid of all the icicles as they look like weapons at this stage. Hope you all are having a great day!

Bendpages was in the hospital ? I wondered why I haven't seen her here, just thought she must have been on a holiday or something. Hope she's doing ok ?

We were given a gift card to Starbucks .... and we haven't seen a single one in our area yet. I wonder if it was a re-gift card?

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is on TCM right now. :)

Yes, we watched it :) Was thinking about you. I've seen it at least twice , it's one of my favorites , love Gene Tierney in that movie, but love Captain Gregg even more. :loveyou:

But this was the first time my DH had seen the whole movie. I actually tried to get out of it, isn't' that funny ? Because it's such a beautiful movie, it always makes me cry.

You want your husband to rub a squirrel's ears?

Howdy friends, missed a lot I see. Jodi you didn't win, you are still a convicted murderer, you won't take a breath of fresh free air ever again. May your prison buddies be just like you. Life is a ***** and pay backs more so.

Where have you been lady, have missed you here. Hope you're better ? :seeya:

Thanks for thinking of me. It wasn't me and I can't remember who it was. Renee14 or Linas maybe? I probably have that wrong. Hope you are feeling better ILTBP. So glad you are back! Xo

Hi Katie, that was Spycraft. She was recovering from surgery but it's been a while, so don't know if she still needs them. Hope this helps. :seeya:

Yes I was and it wasn't pleasant at all. I had a tummy virus and it went into infection in my small colon which caused a blockage. I have never felt so sick in my life. I thought I was doing OK on Tuesday morning when I posted last and thought I was going home that afternoon, but things went downhill pretty quick after that. I did get to watch the verdict, but my blood pressure went up to two hundred over one ten when it was announced and it freaked out the nurses, and my husband turned off the tv. Friday morning after the drugs were wearing off I looked at the board listing the day, Dr, nurses, and there in big letters it said lactation specialist. I asked my nurse when did I start breastfeeding. I was on the maternity floor so I guess someone thought a sixty three year old woman could or needed to. All is well and getting back to normal (well normal for me).

Bernina, Zuri is beautiful! She doesn't look gray to me lol. Her foal coat is really growing out! Love love love the round pen. I so wish I had my own horse property. Thanks for the pics. My little Bernina had a star like Zuri's and 3 white socks. I wish they could have "grown up" together. Xo

Hi BendPages  Good to have you back. How are you ? It was Spycraft that was recuperating from surgery. Last time I connected with her she was doing better. Have seen her on the threads here and there. Hope you're feeling better. :seeya:
