Good Morning Sidebar Friends!

Finally! The three-whole-wonder is going into her final weekend at La Mason de Sheriff Joe.
3
days until sentencing and then,
Buh Bye Jodi.

Happy birthday Val. I didn't realize, must have missed that post. :)
And coffee Julie, happy 66 to your hubby. That's my age. Not the best age to be.

Dmacky, thank you for the well wishes. I get up a couple times a day to look at the posts on sidebar. My back really hurts and pain pills make me itch like crazy.

I have a question. I have had severe osteoporosis for about fifteen years and refuse to take meds. I have osteoarthritis all through my spine, they say. I heard you can take once a month shots for osteoporosis. Have any of you tried it? Is it a good thing? TIA.

BBM That's Prolia (I know because of that commercial with Bythe Danner )

I'll look it up for you. (I have not tried Prolia myself).

Here is the brochure for it: http://www.prolia.com/pdf/Prolia-PatientBrochure-English.pdf

This article is about side-affects: http://www.rxlist.com/prolia-side-effects-drug-center.htm

Hope you feel better soon Curious :therethere:

I'll be 66 this Summer- it's a great age, IMO- not really decrepit yet for a nursing home, but not as spry as I use to be. :) Guess it depends on the health and the situation.

I wonder if it's going to be a busy day at La Mason de Sheriff Joe (loved how you put that.)
Will there be artwork to be spirited out? Last minute shenanigans planning for Monday? I know everyone will be glad when she climbs into the van and relocates permanently.

A bit of weather news, the predicted high temperatures for Goodyear AZ:
Mon 90
Tues 92
Wed 92
She might as well get used to the heat. It will the first of many long, very hot summers.

Good Morning all.

I wonder if the killer has packed her crayons?? What does she really have to pack???

One day closer!!

LMAO

I have an old picture of my brother and me where we just got back from a Disco. On the rare days when we got along, we would go to the club together to try to pick up girls...LOL

The picture shows us in silk shirts, extremely long hair, bell bottoms, and he has on a pair of those heels.....LOL

I never could get myself to go with those shoes with the heels, but I did do the bell bottoms and silk shirt and long hair "thing". LOL

Oh, and my bell bottoms in that pic were purple courderoy Levis. OMG :scared:

That pic never leaves the house...LOL

BBM I'd like to see that pic :floorlaugh:

Did you look like this?

Come-on- be a brave guy :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I wore my brother's dungaree bell-bottoms (but not the elephant kind :floorlaugh:) I was kinda poor back then and couldn't afford too many clothes, so my brother gave me his older
pants (what a great guy). Almost every guy sported long hair then (I just love men with long hair- even now ).

Man oh man.........seems like a few of you have to deal with us Aries babies! :floorlaugh:

This afternoon, I got the most crazy b-day surprise. I have an old boyfriend: we're talking my first BF from 6th grade, so like puppy love and all the "going steady" stuff for a grand total of 2 weeks, ok, I kissed him, a peck on the cheek, and later on when he wouldn't leave me alone, I tackled him on the playground and threatened to punch him in the kisser because I am NOT that kind of girl!

Yes, I threatened to punch this guy when I was 12, and I can still take him on!!!!! Bawahahahaha!!!

We've known each other since kindergarten, had most of the same home room teachers, and re-connected when he was putting together our 20th High School Reunion down in Scottsdale, Go Sabercats! Lol! Since then, he's always called me on my Birthday. Today he sang "Happy Birthday". You've got to understand, this is a guy who is 5'3, larger than life, rides this big 🤬🤬🤬 Harley, shaved his head and sports 2 braids from his goatee with beads in them, is a minister, and a construction contractor. (among other wild things) I only know one other person longer than I've known Marc.

He had a surprise for me, and after about 5 clues it was...........my BFF from grade and high school, and she lives just down the road from where I picked up the toilet paper geese 2 weeks ago!!!!! All Marc had say was "Zeanne, she has red hair.." "Bernina!!!"

Had a totally FANTASTIC 3 way call, we decided there needs to be some kind of t-shirt or at least a bumper sticker for the "2 marriages/2 divorces club", that there are people that touched our lives so many years ago that made a huge impact on who we are today, and sometimes the friends we think were so self assured, were just as fragile as we were.

It was awesome, unexpected, and humbling. I had always looked at Zeanne as so "with it", "so confident", without ever having a clue that she found safety in our friendship, that I was the one she could share anything with and no one else, that she counted on my trust and honesty....

I did that?

You never know how you can effect people's lives. Even when I was trying to distance myself from the chaotic and painful situation I was experiencing at home during my childhood and youth, I was actually helping my friend and I didn't have a clue.

Zeanne is up in this area taking care of her 98 year old father who had 2 major strokes. He retired from his medical practice in his late 80's. It's destiny that we find ourselves so close in proximity and need a familiar face who knows each other's history. What a blessing!

What a wonderful present!
Better than everything you would have wished if Marc had asked you, isn't it?
PRECIOUS! And how compassionate on the part of Marc!
Enjoy your time with Zeanne!

Besides that, your story makes me quite emotional as it seems that two of my friendships (one started in 1997, the other in 1976) have broken into pieces recently. It's hard for me as - although I'm sociallizing easily - I really have very few friends. My itinary implied so many changes of places - it was hard to maintain and intensify relationships. Then I settled down in another country (different language, different culture) and I find it very hard to bump into people that could become friends.
I'm almost 55 and used to live quite an independant life ("only 1 marriage/1 divorce ;) and I don't like to "organize" my social life with an agenda; I prefer spontaneous actions and this is hard as it seems to me that lots of people are organized in groups: partner/family/closed cercle of friends... Sometimes I have the impression that they need full agendas because they are afraid of the "void".
Well, I realize that I have difficulties to describe my thoughts, so I'll stop here ;).

By the way, Bernina, your posts give me a hard time seen my poor english vocabulary - so: thanks, I'm improving my english skills!

BBM #1 I know just what you mean. Some people will surround themselves with other people or just fill their days with activity just to avoid being alone with themselves. A pity. IMO.

BBM #2 You're doing great with your vocabulary :) , IMO- English is sometimes a very difficult language (so many crazy rules ).

Guess everyone had a long day and went home.
I stopped by to ask if anyone has watched, or is watching, the HBO series True Detective. I'm catching up with it now. WOW!
Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are spectacular. What acting!

Off to watch Fortitude now on Pivot TV, another pretty decent show, takes place in the Arctic.

Later!

That season of True Detective is the BOMB!!!! HBO is supposed to have season 2 with 2 new detectives. I'm going to miss McConaughey and Harrelson, they make a really intriguing duo.

Woot! Can I share my bday with you all too? :D
^^^
I too, missed Val's birthday post yesterday. I just saw it today as I was catching up on posts! (((HUGS))) Val, and I hope your birthday was a special day!

Season 2 premieres on June 21 and stars Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams (love her!), Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch. I loved the first season so I hope season 2 lives up to expectations.

Really?!?!?! Another April 9th birthday kid?! LOL! Happy Birthday, Val!!!!!:happydance:

I remember a little over 10 years ago, gah maybe it was 13, 14 years ago, the US toppled the statue of Saddam in Iraq on the 9th. One of those awe inspiring things. And then what "seemed" to be the beginning of the end, turned into a protracted mess. Still remember George Bush flying in that stupid fighter jet onto the flight deck of a Navy ship, with that stupid banner, was it "Mission Accomplished"?

"Imma goin' ta revenge ma daddy, we goin' ta do it Texas style!"
I think he watched too many "Die Hard" movies, ol' Bruce Willis, "Yippee ki yi yay, mother ******!" <--self censor there folks!

Curious! Your pain pills make you itch? Not good. Call your doctor, let him know about the itching and see if you can gets different medication please! See if he would recommend Benadryl for the itching. I am concerned you may be allergic to the pain med or the fillers contained therein. Anaphylaxis can occur which would not be good. Please take good care. Ice is your friend and put a pillow under your knees (Williams position) when you lay down. Hopefully the ice can cause the nerves to calm down.

I hope it's ok for me to piggy-back onto Zuri's excellent advice. It's Friday, so try to call your Dr as soon as possible. Sometimes it's harder to get in touch with them the later in the day it gets.
I agree it's important to let them know about the itching. Sending healing wishes your way.

Do you think ol' Marc's mom REALLY thought she could fly under the radar without everyone knowing who she was? :floorlaugh:
LDS has it's own culture and language? Awe, come on, lady, it's not some "secret society", try "Googling" it. :banghead: Looks like the nut didn't fall far from the tree............
