I yelled at the TV screen yesterday and told my husband that this was a devil woman...At our age, he reminded me, "hey, baby - you know that's a song"...

Yes it is indeed:

MARTY ROBBINS DEVIL WOMAN - YouTube

The lyrics in this song so match what Travis was saying to CMA ...

"Devil Woman"

I told Mary about us.
I told her about our great sin.
Mary cried and forgave me,
Then Mary took me back again,
Said if I wanted my freedom
I could be free ever more.
But I don't want to be,
And I don't want to see
Mary cry anymore.

Oh, Devil Woman,
Devil Woman, let go of me.
Devil Woman, let me be,
And leave me alone.
I want to go home.

Mary is waitin' and weepin'
Down in our shack by the sea.
Even after I've hurt her,
Mary's still in love with me.
Devil Woman it's over,
Trapped no more by your charms,
Cause I don't want to stay.
I want to get away.
Woman let go of my arm.

Oh, Devil Woman,
Devil Woman, let go of me.
Devil Woman, let me be,
And leave me alone.
I want to go home.

Devil Woman, you're evil,
Like the dark coral reef.
Like the winds that bring high tides,
You bring sorrow and grief.
You made me ashamed to face Mary.
Barely had the strength to tell.
Skies are not so black.
Mary took me back.
Mary has broken your spell.

Oh, Devil Woman,
Devil Woman, let go of me.
Devil Woman, let me be,
And leave me alone.
I want to go home.

Runnin' along by the seashore,
Runnin' as fast as I can.
Even the seagulls are happy,
Glad I'm comin' home again.
Never again will I ever
Cause another tear to fall.
Down the beach I see
What belongs to me,
The one I want most of all.

Oh, Devil Woman,
Devil Woman, don't follow me.
Devil Woman let me be,
And leave me alone.
I'm goin' back home.

OK i just heard the Judge read the note from the Jury. "ladies and gentleman of the Jury I have received your note indicating you cannot come to a unanimous decision"

So that's pretty clear to me. 2 hours and there is a hold out...Could it be the man with the salad? the woman that cried? one of the smokers? I'd love to know how many are for death and how many are for casa perryville hotel and spa, check in, don't check out.

**mods please remove it too big, no pun intended**

PM me if you want to see the court ones, because those are more graphic. ;)

Ok hold up, where are these pics, I dare not search anymore, because I only find the post mortem. The other night everyone was elaborating and I didnt pipe up. I read some ridiculous stuff on one of the JA sites that said she has unusual genitalia and they were wondering if she had some funny hormone thing where she was more male, I'm not making this up... It was crazy like they were justifying murder by some mutated chromosome. I then started reading about the disorder and forgot about it until this whole pic thing came up again.

Ok, I'll give this OT Sidebar thing a shot. Here are my current thoughts:

1) I saw that douchebag Scott Disick again on my way home today. That makes 4 times. Is he following me?

2) Why would someone wearing a sport coat encounter chalk? Was it a college professor? If so, that's nice he still wears a sport coat.

3) Did Jodi REALLY have the cojones to tweet those tweets? Just when I think I can't hate her more, she proves me wrong.

4) Mu experience with roundabouts includes only Chevy Chase in European Vacation, driving around one ALL DAY. "look kids! Big Ben!"[/

:offtobed: Nighters all, may tomorrow bring us a just verdict & peace for the Alexanders.

Dear Jury,
Please don't scare the crap out of me again tomorrow and ask another question or beep some buzzer. Or come to court in flip flops so I am certain we won't have a verdict.

Come in tomorrow in your Sunday best, take a deep breath, sentence her to Death unanimously and there will be gift baskets for everyone!

Remember, that was the note that didn't make it to the Public Record. Somehow, some other note made it by azcentral.

It's my opinion that we may need a brand new jury because some of these might have looked at the wretched one for too long and found some sort of what for her...

Read the post below ...

This is the order the information was released:
  1. Judge Stephens addresses the jury
  2. MC Superior Court tweets
  3. Article by Michael Kiefer

Judge Stephens:

Ladies and gentleman I have received your note indicating that you are unable to come to a unanimous decision.
I have some suggestions to help your deliberations and not to force you to read a verdict.
I am merely trying to be responsive to your apparent need for help.
I do not wish nor intend to force a verdict.
Each juror has a duty to consult with one another to deliberate with a view to reaching an agreement, if it can be done, without violence to individual judgement.
No juror should surrender his or her honest conviction, as to the weight or a fact of the evidence, solely because of the opinion of other jurors or for the purpose of reaching a verdict.
However, you may want to identify areas of agreement and disagreement and discuss the law and the evidence, as they relate to the areas of disagreement.
If you still disagree, you may wish to tell the attorneys and me, which issues, questions, law or facts you would like us to assist you with.
If you decide to follow this suggestion, please write down the issues, questions, law or facts on which we can possibly help.
Please give your note to the bailiff.
We will then discuss your note and try to help.
At this time please go back to the jury room and continue deliberating.
You are excused.

Jury's question is what to do if they can not reach a verdict #JodiArias Judge is giving them further instruction

Jodi Arias jury can't decide on death penalty
Judge sends them back for more deliberations

<snipped>

The jury sent a handwritten note on an official question form to the judge. It said: “If the jury is unable to come to a unanimous decision @ this stage, do we notify the judge of this on the form (verdict) or do we just tell the judge her instruction on the bottom P. 10 on the final jury Instruction-Penalty phase?”

It was signed by juror No.18.

Then up thread to the copied post by KCL in bold ..

I think it's very likely JSS just read it wrong in the wrong way .. we'll see what happens tomorrow, but basically when this question was asked, they would have still been reading the instructions .. way too early to dead lock.

I don't know... I feel sick right now. This is the first time I saw this today clip today.

The jury was deadlocked imo. Otherwise, an attorney would of cleared this "miscommunication" up? Mistrial?

Have to check the court records now.

If they all agreed on death, why would they bother to ask what to do if they didn't all agree?

snipped by me:

Jury: Your honor we have reached a verdict. The defendant is to be given the death penalty.

JA: Whaaaa? You just said yesterday you couldn't agree!

Jury: Yeah, well, you see... we REALLY meant it when we said it but we've had "a change of perspective" since then...

**************NOTE FROM JURY*******

**********END OF NOTE**************

That gives me some reassurance that they asked this question, because they want to know fully the ramifications involved in whether or not they come to a unanimous decision. Which I hope can be interpreted as meaning they are dedicated to coming to a unanimous decision. Please, I pray, I hope so. I haven't fully realized how this trial has been stressing me out. And I know by some of the other posters, that I'm not alone.

Blessings to all here who care enough to follow this case. Please excuse me for saying so, but in spite of the fact that, in the grand scheme of things, there really aren't that many people who are even aware of this case, I believe there is a reason that it means so much to those of us who are here . I don't know what it is, but there's a reason for everything.

My whole thing with the is the jury deadlocked or aren't they is: in their note to the judge, they specifically ask WHAT FORM TO CHECK OFF if they can't reach a decision. Now let's say this really was a what-if kind of question, but then why would they ask what form?? I mean, why go so specific?

This is my personal theory: That the foreperson quickly realized there were one or two who were going on a path that he/she didn't want them to go on...what I mean by that is that if he/she had let the deliberation drag on that way, he (i'm just gonna use he b/c I think we're assuming its no 18?) knew they would get nowhere. That these one or two would eventually lead them to nowhere-land. And he wanted to nip it in the bud and kind of shock them into realizing HEY, FOCUS and get on board with the rest of us. SO he suggested let's send a note to the judge.

Ditto. And JSS is not stupid, so the "maybe she read it wrong" argument doesn't jive.
