Thanks Tex. I can't handle stuff like this, my heart breaks into a million pieces and I wish I could rescue all the animals/reunite them with their families. Just too much pain for everyone involved.

I totally agree Vivi.

I just cannot take a harmless little baby animal of any kind [including human] being caught up in devastation.

I need to rescue every little animal in my path.

And wasn't it just great when that little pooch showed his mugger right when they were doing the interview! great that the reporter helped her get him out..uninjured!! That lady will now be able to cope much better with the devastation. Did you see the one where the 2 little chi's were found?

Very cool. I know my mom has a Boston Terrier she's crazy about and how sad she'd be if she thought the dog was gone. And the dog was trapped but when she heard her person it started trying to get to her...happy ending

Mr. Mertz and I are such suckers for strays - every one of our pets is a rescue. We keep saying if we win Powerball we'll set up a sanctuary to take in every abandoned critter.

At least the story Tex posted had a happy ending, so that's one ray of light. Speaking of Tex, have you spied what she's making us all for dinner tonight? It will be scrumptious!
