Violence at 4 years old. The world is too scary for me.

Kensie, I hope your daughter/son follow through with this. The boys parents need to pay any and all dr. or hospital bills, and if it was at my daycare, I'd drop the boy. What money I was making to care for him wouldn't be enough for the trouble he caused. I'd be asking questions as, has he attacked another child before and if so why was he still there?

Or could he be autistic and violent? Children learn what they see - he didn't just become this way, he learned it from somewhere. Maybe an abusive parent or sibling, watching too much violence on television and movies.


One thing you learn if you're in daycare? never put a hair puller next to a child with long hair, and put your biters next to each other. I had a little girl (well she was a heifer) that I had from eight months old to two, that I think was autistic before everyone became autistic, that would rock and hit her head on the floor. You could hear her head hit the floor, and I'd try to stop and distract her.

She was OK, but I never knew what would set her off, other than when her mother came in. Then she'd bite, pull hair and poke another child in the eye. Mom said she didn't know what to do. She'd throw fits at home and shattered their glass patio door banging her head against it. She'd tear her room to pieces if they gave her a time out in there. One time (mom didn't make her sit in her car seat, because she'd cry and didn't like it, so she got to stand next to mom in the van) she started banging her head and shattered the passenger window. In the afternoons I'd watch around the time mom would pick her up, and get her to sit by me and try to get her out the door before she hurt another child. The child was two years old and I finally told her mother that I thought she needed more than what I could do for her, and she went to another daycare.

My daughter married an addict. She found him od several times, and each time she had to call 911 and do cpr. The last time was two weeks after Dallas Cowboy, Mark Tuinei, bought and shot up from a heroin dealer (apparently my new son in law didn't know his new neighbor was a dealer) that lived across from them, and died of an overdose.

Anna said he called her at work, and after she got off the phone she said he was too casual, and she left found him on the floor in the living room barely breathing, so she did what she had before call 911 and that she would give him a breath and was looking frantically for drugs and couldn't find it, but as she was giving him another breath she looked up under a end table and found it and a syringe, so she dumps everything down the sink, ran outside and pitched the syringe. When LE got there they asked if anything was in the apartment and Anna said no. While the paramedics were loading her him in the ambulance, she went to Medical City, the closes hospital and he wasn't there, they had transported him to Presbyterian a few miles futher down the road. So she goes there and reporters are outside of the er, and she walks in, tells them her name and a nurse took her inside of the hospital to a small office. The reporters wanted to talk to her husband, because a whole lot of kids from Plano were od ing at an alarming rate, ( he was from there, at twenty five he was older than most) and she didn't have to talk with them if that was what she wanted. She got to see her husband several hours later and the fool was thinking about speaking with the reporters.

Anna had been thinking about leaving him, but his dad and step mother wanted them to go to counseling (which Anna thought was hypocritical, since he'd left his wife and children for the woman) and the therapist , from their church, placed all the blame on Anna. That she wasn't being a good Christan wife, even though she was the only one working because her husband couldn't keep a job, and that she should try harder. She stuck it out for another year, and decided she was over and done with her marriage, she'd spent five years in a marriage that she didn't want to be in, but felt she had nowhere to go and so she stayed. She told me later that when we started raising our grandson she felt that there was no room for her. My sister said Anna once told her that my grand kids had stolen me from her.


One time when Anna was in her psychotic episode, she was arguing with me and pulled her arm back, clenched her fist and was going to hit me, and our Quaker Parakeet said her name. It stopped her and she asked if I'd heard it also. He'd never said her name before, most of his vocabulary consisted of calling DH a$$w&&& and ,french fries, a wolf whistle and could sound like a lawn mower for hours when we or anyone else mowed. My grandson found him in our backyard , and we brought him in and when he saw dh he said a%%w%%%. dh asked what did he say and the bird then called him a MF. We think his previous owner cussed, wore glasses and had a mustache. He was a sweetie to me. He'd chew on my hair, and give me kisses on my cheeks.


So sorry to hear about B.B.King. I knew he was getting close after some complications he had this last week.



and I see they have a sentence for Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and it's expected at 3 p.m. I do hope it's death and not LWOP. It pissed me of that his defense wanted to blame others for influencing him.

Religion and addiction don't mix. I, too, stuck it out with my first because of new found Born Again beliefs, and after 2 years of them saying "....abhors divorce" and then being assaulted at the prison by my ex, (among other things) I filed. The BA peeps treated me like a leper. So I left them too.

For the addicts, abusers from whatever faith or denomination:
GOD saves your SOUL,
REHAB/TREATMENT/WILLPOWER/12 STEPS/WHATEVER/YOU ultimately save your LIFE.

It's the ONLY thing that worked for me, plus I can control the amount of nic and how much I vape it........heck you can vape with zero nic.

Seriously, you'll save a ton of money (I bought Kissy with the money I saved the first year) and your body will thank you!

I was looking a the photo of Casey Anthony and her mother's day volunteering, and I remembered that she is now twenty nine years old. Life hasn't turned out to "Bella Vita," has it? Caylee would be ten this year if her mother hadn't killed her.

Just an observation here..........
Here we are, pretty much peeps who have met on the net with a common desire or interest through the Websleuth forum........and in the last 2-3 days we've shared our stories about alcohol, drugs, rehab, methadone, etc., etc.
With almost if not all peeps coming to similar conclusions about rehabs, drugs to get people off other drugs or alcohol, and the general "man, this really sucks, but what can you do"....................

.......Why are rehabs, Big Pharma, AMA, and the powers that be in Government so f-ing oblivious that RARELY do their solutions WORK? 3-7% of of our addicts and alcoholics WILL say "Nevermore". The rest will continue to relapse the rest of their lives. In the mean time, these same organizations are making billions of dollars off us, including privatized Prisons, Emergency Medical facilities, and the drug manufacturers that make secondary drugs to "treat/stabilize" HIV, Hep C, cirrhosis of the liver, internal organ damage, brain damage ("wet brain",dead brain), and mental illness caused or exasperated by the use of drugs and alcohol.

We're just a random group, a very small random group, and look how many of us have seen and experienced the same things? Something is really wrong. And we all know that money is the bottom line.

Makes you just want to grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Sadly, I think she's gotten just what she wants. Other people paying her bills and no responsibility, as far as I can tell. And she certainly isn't starving! If and when the gravy train derails, I think she'll revert to type and start stealing again and maybe then she'll end up in the slammer.

I second that, but would like to add that, as a DC resident, I think the rest of the country would be appalled as to how much money is made from lobbyists acting on the behalf of pretty creepy folks. Big Pharma is one, but there are so many others. I don't even want to get into the politics about climate change denial -- but suffice it to say most pols are looking out for the $$$ interests of their richest constituents/donors.

The fact that the majority of us (in this relatively small group!) are living in a world where our young people and other loved ones feel so disenfranchised that they turn to drugs and alcohol to deal with their psychic pain is immeasurably sad to me.

Having worked for many years on K Street (where the most influential lobbyists have their offices), I have seen all this first-hand. Please, everyone, take this as a clarion call. Whatever your political affiliation, once you elect someone and send them to Washington, that is the beginning of the seduction process. From there on in, those "idealistic" and "principled" people are prey to lobbyists of every ilk. Very few leave DC with their ethics intact. I've lived here for over 50 years and have seen it all. Frankly, it's embarrassing. Re-electing folks -- even if they seem to be good people -- just seems to make it more acceptable for them to be reckless with their power.
