Me too ! Walmart I can afford. Ours is neat and clean. Many Seniors shop there because of the prices.
Sometimes life gets a bit tough.

I enjoy shopping at my Walmart as long as I get there around 8 a.m.

We have more storms coming in again here in the metroplex. I hope all will be safe and not have to make any trips to the linen closet in the bathroom. My grandson and three dogs don't leave much room for anyone else. It looks a lot bigger from the outside.

My parents, siblings and I, spent many nights in tornado shelters. The last time was in Moore Ok, before we moved to Texas. The family at the end of the block had a shelter in their basement, and we stayed down there for what seemed like hours, storm after storm moving across. They had a pet skunk.

The houses are gone in the 2013 tornado, but the farm behind the houses, that I rode my first horse at, is still kinda there ? The church my parents were going to at that period of their life, had a Sunday evening picnic and they were giving horseback rides. I decided as I stood in line that when my turn came around, I was going to ride on my terms. When my little britches hit the saddle I told the man I wanted to do it myself. He laughed and asked if it was OK, handed me the reins and I clicked my tongue and walked my horse around the arena. I was four. I have always loved horses.

JOKE OF THE DAY
An out-of-towner drove his car into a ditch in a desolated area. Luckily, a local farmer came to help with his big strong horse named Buddy.
He hitched Buddy up to the car and yelled, "Pull, Nellie, pull!" Buddy didn't move.
Then the farmer hollered, "Pull, Buster, pull!" Buddy didn't respond.
Once more the farmer commanded, "Pull, Coco, pull!" Nothing.
Then the farmer nonchalantly said, "Pull, Buddy, pull!" And the horse easily dragged the car out of the ditch.
The motorist was most appreciative and very curious. He asked the farmer why he called his horse by the wrong name three times.
The farmer said, "Oh, Buddy is blind and if he thought he was the only one pulling, he wouldn't even try!"

Women wardens run 4 of state's 10 prisons

"...As warden at the Perryville complex in Goodyear, Frigo's prison has one of Arizona's most notorious inmates: Jodi Arias.
Frigo said there was a buzz among the roughly 4,000 female inmates when Arias, convicted of brutally murdering her lover, was sentenced to life in prison.
"They know she's here, but in Corrections, she's just an inmate," Frigo said matter-of-factly. "She's not special. Inmates come to prison for their punishment."..."

Wal Mart still has Greeters? They got rid of the Greeters in our area couple years ago.

I guess I like small store for shopping :) I can go the Dollar Store or Fred's (with a small Pharmacy) and buy detergents, TP, paper towels, tooth paste, shampoos, soap, coffee, snack cakes, can goods and they beat our Wal Mart prices! Wal Mart will charge for Folgers coffee $9.89. I can get the same amount/same brand at Dollar Store for $7.79. I use Fred's Pharmacy when I need too and get the same prices that Wal Mart has. I mostly get all my meds through the mail every 3 months. Our insurance likes us doing that.

We are a very small area around here and we really do not have a lot of options of where to shop. Clothing is bought online or you take the long drive into the city and make a day of it. :)

Consider us the 'Country-Redneck-Burbs' :winkkiss:

"Her No. 1 rule is to treat people how you want to be treated," said godson Tyler Kinloch, 21, who fishes with her. "I definitely carry that with me every single day."..."

BBM Our dog Buddy has been gone from us for about 8 years :( He was my younger son's dog, but we now have The Queen to lord over us: :dramaqueen:

Before Buddy, we had a Maltese (my older son's dog)
Max - looked like a porcelain doll (with a "button" nose, my mother said :) ) when we had him. He could fit into the palm of your hand, he was so small.
Max looked like this:

He grew to 9 lbs to look like this (we never let his grow too long like the show dogs):

He left us when he was about 14 1/2 years old.
Buddy died from cancer at 12 years old and The Queen will be 9 years old on 7/19 this year. She'll be my last dog.

My heart melts at these tiny dogs!! How adorable :)

You outdid yourself this morning with all these 'goodies' ! Thanks for the smiles Y/N :blowkiss:

That seems very accurate.

I've learned to accept and realize that our dogs are only with us for a precious short time.

We arrived home in the car the other day and our Cat "Skitszy", and our Guinnea birds came running full speed up the driveway to greet us as we pulled up. And as we walked up to the front door, there in the window sill as usual, was our dog sitting there waiting on us.

Yeah, pets are wonderful and they sure give us love back. There is definitely work involved in their care and cleanup, but its all worth it.
