Thank you for the get wells and advice. Doc put me on Levaquin 500 MG once a day for 5 days, drink plenty of water and rest and if I get any worse go ER room.

Had a rough sleepless night. Hot coffee will help me get up the mucus (I think any hot liquid would). Plus, I use the 'Breather' that I got in Rehab and it helps too. It is resistive breathing training http://www.alimed.com/the-breather.html I use it as part of my exercises I do for strength training I learned.

Still feeling yucky and going back bed and try get some sleep.

Taking albuterol every 4 hours makes me hyper and can't unwind :gaah: Head is hurting also.

7 Things You Didn’t Know About the Hatfields and McCoys

It's America's most notorious family feud—the Hatfields versus the McCoys. For nearly 150 years, this legendary conflict has captured America's imagination, inspiring books, movies, cartoons and even a popular game show, all of which depict a bloody backwoods clash between the warring families. As we separate myth from reality, here are seven surprising facts about the Hatfields and McCoys.

1. Hollywood has always loved the Hatfields and McCoys.
The Hatfields and McCoys saga has been reflected in various forms of entertainment, including books, songs and Hollywood films. Some of the most memorable portrayals of the feud include a 1952 Abbot and Costello feature; a Hatfield- and McCoy-themed episode of the animated series “Scooby-Doo”; and Warner Bros.’ 1950 “Merrie Melodies” cartoon “Hillbilly Hare,” in which Bugs Bunny finds himself ensnared in a dispute between the rival Martin and Coy families.

2. The Hatfields and McCoys inspired a famous game show.
The conflict is believed to have been the primary inspiration for the popular game show “Family Feud,” which premiered in 1976. In 1979 members of both families appeared on the show during a special Hatfields and McCoys theme week to battle it out for the usual cash rewards—with one unique twist. Also included in the prize package was a pig, symbolizing the origins of the feud. (It was the rumored theft of a valuable pig by a Hatfield ancestor that had served as a catalyst for the eruption of hostilities more than 100 years earlier.) The Hatfields won the contest.

3. The formerly feuding families were featured in Life magazine in the 1940s.
In May 1944, an issue of Life magazine revisited the Hatfields and McCoys nearly 50 years after violence among them rocked the Tug Valley area between Kentucky and West Virginia. The article was meant to show how the two “famous families now live together in peace,” and interviewed a number of descendants about the rivalry and relations between the two families five decades after the conflict. Among the photographs was a shot of two young women, Shirley Hatfield and Frankie McCoy, working together in a local factory that produced military uniforms. It was meant to symbolize the unifying effect of America’s war efforts at the height of World War II.

4. The feud between the Hatfields and the McCoys made it all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
In 1888 several Hatfields were arrested and stood trial for the murder of two of Randall McCoy’s children. West Virginia sued for the men’s release, arguing that they had been illegally extradited across state lines. The Supreme Court eventually became involved in the case, known as Mahon v. Justice. In its 7-2 decision, the court ruled in favor of Kentucky, allowing for the trials and subsequent convictions of all the Hatfield men. Seven of them received life sentences, and one, Ellison “Cotton Top” Mounts, was executed for his crimes.

5. A rare medical condition may be partly to blame for the violence of the notorious clash of clans.
In a 2007 study, a team of doctors and geneticists who had studied dozens of McCoy descendants noted an unusually high rate of Von Hippel-Lindau disease, a rare, inherited condition that produces tumors of the eyes, ears, pancreas and adrenal glands as well as high blood pressure, a racing heartbeat and increased “fight or flight” stress hormones. The researchers also collected numerous oral histories from family members detailing the combative and often violent nature of the McCoy family dating back to the feud’s roots.

6. The Tug Valley witnessed another violent clash nearly 30 years after the Hatfields and McCoys feud.
On May 19, 1920, detectives working for the anti-union Baldwin-Felts Agency evicted the families of workers who had attempted to unionize the Stone Mountain Coal Company mines outside Matewan, West Virginia. After Sid Hatfield, the Matewan chief of police and a Hatfield descendant, intervened on the miners’ behalf, a violent clash broke out that left seven detectives and four locals dead. The Matewan Massacre became a rallying cry for union activists across the country, with Sid Hatfield garnering fame for his defense of the miners. A year later, however, Hatfield was assassinated, purportedly by Baldwin-Felts agents. The events surrounding the Matewan Massacre and Sid Hatfield’s murder were depicted in the acclaimed 1987 film “Matewan.”

7. There are thousands of Hatfield and McCoy descendants—but not all of them are real.
Sid Hatfield is just one of many notable Hatfield and McCoy descendants. Others include Henry D. Hatfield, nephew of family patriarch Devil Anse, who served as a senator and governor of West Virginia; 1930s jazz musician Clyde McCoy; and basketball coach Mike D’Antoni. There have even been fictional descendants, including Leonard “Bones” McCoy from the television and film series “Star Trek,” who was supposedly dozens of generations removed from his McCoy family roots.

Hatfields and McCoys of today are business people, doctors, lawyers and politicians, Richardson says. "Many are friends. They don't talk much about what happened. They have given back to the community."

Oh No the family that seven attended, and two were pregnant, and she was the only one out?

YES! She had planned on going but got scheduled to work that night. Thank goodness no one would trade shifts with her.
It was so incredibly sad.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Secretariat have a problem when he was put out to stud? Seems like there was an issue......

He had some kind of painful hoof disease. I don't know what the Medical term is, but I know you'll know the name of that particular disease.

Was a pretty non-day down in Phoenix, except for all the National Media trying to jockey themselves for into a good spot for the "Rally on the Mosque"..............and they walked away disappointed.
I watched the last hour and some with the Fox10 live stream, Kinsey Schofield was manning the helm. Throughout the time I watched, from about 6:30-8:20 or so, the "anti-protester" protesters (Love Rally) where outnumbering the "other guys" about 2 to 1. The mastermind of the Cartoon/Rally/Protest left at 7:30, 1/2 hour before it was supposed to end <----wha...?...the leader leaving his followers? Guess he's starting to pack his house because, according to him, in a live interview on the ground, he's selling his house and going into hiding because of threats to him and his family, though the Phoenix PD have not received any credible threats or reports of threats from Jon R. While Jon was being interviewed, one reporter asked about the 3 fights........3 she witnessed and caught on camera on the anti Mosque group side of the street. And Jon said ultimately "I'm not talking to that woman".

The original plan had called for bikers to gather at a north Phoenix Denny's at Interstate 17 and Dunlap Avenue. When managers of that restaurant found out about the bikers' plan, they decided to close the restaurant for three hours to guarantee the safety of their customers and employees.

The rally was handed another setback earlier in the day after the bar where a planned after-party and the judging of the controversial "draw Muhammad" contest was to take place closed its doors for the night.
The sign on Wild Bill's Saloon in Phoenix reads: "Out of respect for our community, our customers, and our employees -
Wild Bill's Saloon will be closed this evening. Thank you for your patronage. We will see everybody back here tomorrow."

A counter rally that took place at the same time by another group is being called a "love rally" to show the world that Arizonans respect the right of people to practice their religion in peace.

My faith in the people of Arizona just got a bit stronger. We have enough issues. This never needed to be one of them. The area pretty much was vacant by 9:45 pm. No arrests, no violence, no gunfire by the Anti-Islam side who were wearing sidearms and carrying automatic weapons. Phoenix LE was pretty chill, standing in a line in the center of the street that had been closed, alternating a front/rear stance, facing both sides on their designated sides of the street. Have to hand it to them: they had their Phoenix PD uniforms on which are BLACK, talk about being hot on the asphalt and the early evening heat. Kudos to them. No "military force" over the top offensive that we've come to see in other parts of the Nation. Phoenix tax payers are going to be footing the bill for these officers.

Freedom of speech, religion, and carrying firearms all together in one spot, and no one got hurt, nothing got out of hand.
The National Media must be really disappointed. Jon Ritzheimer had his "15 Minutes". I doubt he and his buddies will have anymore opportunities to wear their black "🤬🤬🤬* Islam" t-shirts....talk about "I went to the Mosque Rally and all I got was this stupid T-shirt". :floorlaugh:

The one thing that really struck me was the overhead feed from the Fox 10 helicopter, the line of LE down the center of the street, the comparably small numbers of the "Anti Mosque" group on one side, and the large numbers of the "Love Rally" on the other. To watch it, the numbers reported by some agencies were really off.

One of my DD finally went to doctor yesterday--she has been sick with a horrid cough --- they gave her an antibiotic and cough syrup w/codeine----What annoyed me the most was she isn't/wasn't going to take either since she feels she can battle this on her own. The pharmacist told her the antibiotic may make her sick and she doesn't want that and then the mean pharmacist told her said cough medicine tastes like dimetap and she HATES Dimetap. Then she says the only reason she went was because her twin sister said her coughing was keeping her awake at night--told her others felt the same way.

We argued about this and she told me that she is an adult and can do what she wants. I eventually told her that she can do what she wants but people have been known to go to hospital with severe coughs that go to lungs (she is being tested for whopping cough and pneumonia) -- she said she wasn't going to no hospital. I finally gave up and told her whatever--I've done my time with people just focusing on the negatives of medications (my mom---always felt this way and when Dementia really set in WHOA) and she can do what she wants.

My question is: Is it bad that at 8:10 my neighbors roofing people started arriving and her bedroom is in the front of the house---and windows are open??????

He had some kind of painful hoof disease. I don't know what the Medical term is, but I know you'll know the name of that particular disease.

I ended up looking for some specs on him. He did sire about 600 foals. Whether it was hand bred or AI, I couldn't find. His female offspring carried his racing genes more significantly than his male offspring.
He did get put down at 19 years because of laminitis, aka founder. It's an inflammation of front hooves in almost all cases. As the symptoms progress, the "coffin bone", the last bone in the leg and found inside the hoof, rotates and can eventually perforate the hoof wall. It's an incredibly heart wrenching condition. We went through that with our Percheron and also had to put her down. It went on for about 7 years.
It must have been another race horse! I know there was one that really had no interest in mares after he retired.

Hi all. I use albuterol /ipratropium 4 times a day. I have for years. This really helps. Keeping airays
open so I don't get pneumonia , had it a lot when a kid so my lungs are scarred. I have COPD. The
Albuterol made me jittery at first but it goes away. I just bought a new nebulizer. CJ. really hurt for
you having had it so many times myself. Take good care. It's a rough one o get rid of..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Secretariat have a problem when he was put out to stud? Seems like there was an issue......

IMO Secretariat was a once in a lifetime horse. None of his offspring ever achieved his greatness. A lot of TB breeders bred to him, hoping for that one in a million chance that he would stamp his get. Never happened.

All TBs are bred live cover. The only time they use AI is to add TB blood to another breed, like warmbloods for example. It was heartbreaking to watch him with the laminitis, which is often the demise of some really great horses. For example, Barbaro, who IMO probably would have won the Triple Crown, sustained a fracture, and while being treated, he developed laminitis in the other 3 hooves and was put down. Barbaro was at New Bolton Center, in Unionville, PA (Univeristy of Pennsylvania), treated by many of the same vets that have treated my horses. They are fAbulous there.
