Don't be trippin', my Queen! I checked it out on Sunday when I got that crazy little white icon on my task bar on Sunday........from what I understand, the Windows Media Center will be the only thing that will NOT be in Win 10. Some of the gobbledy gook will be absent on your screen from Win 8 (totally bypassed that one when I got my PC, too much Social Media stuff I never use, went for Win 7 instead).
I asked my lil' bro about it......but of course, 9 out 10 people who have worked or are working for Microsoft up at the Seattle campus use Macs. He hasn't worked "in-house" for MS for about 5 years, but from what he could get from a few contacts, it's supposed to be a good platform. (And he also has used Macs forever)
Lil' bro is working on the driverless car right now. He's helping design the user interface for the dash and front wind shield. He's under a confidentiality agreement, so I don't know what corporation it's for. He did a simulation with his on SUV on a Go-Pro, green screened the areas that needed to be developed, ran a stabilizer program on it to get a more smooth visual, and dropped in the interface he and the team at Artifact are developing. It totally blew the team away, they were all like "you did this in your SUV with a Go Pro?!?"
They have a buzz word now for him, it's the "Garn Effect". <---his last name. Since he went private contractor, Artifact has clients that specifically want him on their jobs. Which is really cool for him. He isn't an employee for Artifact (which he really loves) but he's being contracted to do a bunch of cool stuff with them. The money is way better, and he can work at home, the client covers travel expenses, and he still get to work with an incredible group of people. His dog is also totally stoked about this new arrangement, lol!
