Just an FYI, because so many of you have "held my hand" through the last three months. My father-in-law just passed away. He was so good to me, and I really love him. If I am not around through the next several days, we are going to spend time with Mom.

Thank you, all, for being here if I needed someone.
So sorry. RIP

Can I complain?! I feel awful. It is so hot and humid. We've had 100s for the last 10 days or so. Its like a sauna everywhere. My stomach has been upset for about 8 hours and my nose hurts because Rayden hit me by accident. My lip is cut but that wasn't an accident. Rayden got me with his fingernail when he was trying to pull my teeth! I am a battered Mimi!! I know so many people have real problems but I just wanted to take a moment and whine!

Oh (((Wag))) of course you can chime in anytime. You are just as much a part of our SB family as anyone else. I'm sorry you have been sick. It's really hard to "be sick" when you are a mom to a little one. I remember when you were still pregnant during JA's first trial! How old is little Rayden now? This trial has gone on so long he could be in high school by now

I can't help you with the sauna like humidity, as it's just as bad in Ky. I was out yesterday and it was absolutely stifling. :hot: I couldn't wait to get back home to the air conditioning.

Judge orders Jodi Arias to pay restitution to Travis Alexander's family (with clip)

"...Despite the ruling, Willmott said Arias most likely won't be able to make enough money in prison to pay back the family.
"In the past, my experience has been that victims are unlikely to get the money when somebody has been sent to prison for so long because they don't have the ability to make it," Willmott said. "Eventually she'll be able to get a job making 10, 20 cents an hour so they can take money from that, but it's very small."

Wilmott said that although there are websites raising funds for the convicted murderer to appeal her life sentence, Arias doesn't have control over how those funds are used.
One website claims to have raised more than $70,000 in a trust fund for Arias to appeal the life sentence ruling, but Willmott said she is not sure how the appeals fund will be spent since she is not involved in the process..."

Justice Kennedy practically invites a challenge to solitary confinement

"...Kennedy's comments drew a short, but sharp retort from Justice Clarence Thomas.
“The accommodations in which Ayala is housed are a far sight more spacious than those in which his victims … now rest. And, given that his victims were all 31 years or age or under, Ayala will soon have had as much or more time to enjoy those accommodations as his victims had time to enjoy this Earth,” Thomas wrote..."

DID YOU KNOW

For a brief moment in time, you were a moment in someone’s life. A mere extra, passing through their thoughts in milliseconds, but milliseconds of their story nonetheless. For every person you’ve exchanged eye contact with, you have made a contribution to their existence, be it significant or not.
If you were to take a live sea sponge, blenderize it, then leave the sea sponge smoothie to sit over night. When you woke up in the morning, you’d find that the surviving sea sponge cells have found each other and started to reform a new sea sponge.

The fact that you are here is amazing. When you think about your entire ancestry, how many close calls and amazing coincidences could have completely erased half your family? The fact that everything lined up JUST RIGHT in order for you to be here is absolutely amazing.

"Q3: IS THE TRUST MONEY VULNERABLE TO CONFISCATION BY THE ALEXANDERS OR THE STATE?

A3: No. The Alexander-family attorney has publicly announced to the media that the Alexanders will be suing Jodi. A wrongful-death lawsuit is a vehicle by which the Alexanders will seek to get as much money as they can from Jodi. The money in the Legal Defense Fund does not belong to Jodi. The trust is not in her name, she does not control it, and she does not have access to it.

In the state of Arizona, attorneys for the state may also try to take any money from Jodi. But again, the Legal Defense Fund does not contain any money belonging to her.

The trust was carefully structured so that the funds may only be distributed for the purposes for which it was created – legal defense and appellate costs. The money cannot be taken out for any other reason, including restitution."

My BF lost his cell phone yesterday.
This morning after he left for an appointment at the VA Hospital, I left a message with his nurse about his ongoing forgetfulness, etc, etc.
I hope she calls back.
I need some help or I'm throwing in the towel.
Just throwing it out there because I've got to get it off my chest.
:scared:

Did the nurse call back?
And you do need help, IMO, and I hope you get it. :therethere:

New news on our Lily. They have taken her feeding tube out and are going to let suck on her binkie. They said her thoart is healed enough for that.

Thank to all for all the prayers sent Lily's way, we still need our baby girl home. It hurts to think of someone else holding her and not us.

Little mama just called and the social worker told her attonery that she didn't have time to speak him. He is pissed. She said that little mama is to be served with a suponea to be in court on Monday. Like she wouldn't be there. Little mama gets to see Lily on Thursday and she will be able to hold her

Good news for baby Lily (bless her). May she mend quickly.
