DD woke me up @3a.m. Only 4.0, no biggie, but the evangelists will think California is doomed with this, the fire that trapped the freeway, and the flooding! Two bright sides for me this morning: 1) my former nextdoor neighbors lied to me- the earthquake fault that supposedly ran right under my street doesn't- it's a few blocks away instead, and more importantly:2) my brand new French Doors are being installed right now!!! And hubby said I may also get some new tile where the carpeting is ripping right there! Will post some pictures later on if I can!:happydance::loveyou::great::skip:

IMG_0999.jpgDon't know how to rotate photos, sorry! But one more thing: I have a really cool new decorating phone app- Floorvana by Shaw Floors. You can pick a photo or take a picture, and it will suggest coordinating types of flooring based on the colors you pick!

1868 - First use of tax stamps on cigarettes. Way back years ago, Texas taxed cigarette and liquor, and many complained to our local paper and calling it a sin tax. I was amazed how many were outraged that their children wouldn't be able to have a second bowl of cereal because of it. Not my kids need more food and I get what's left over, if any, to buy cigarette and beer. But my kids are going to go hungry because cigarette and beer are more important to me, and I'll pay the price.

I stopped smoking January20, 1979. Cigarettes went up to forty nine cents a pack and that was it for me. I told God I couldn't do this myself, and I needed Him to help me stop, so I'm down to my last pack on Friday, and Saturday night when I sat down to smoke my last cigarette there was only one left in the pack. My last one , so I smoked it and went to bed. The next morning I didn't want one and I was over and done with it. I wish it was that easy for those that are having a hard time.
--------
Hi ILike, I quit in 2002. I had bronchitis woke up and could not really breathe out. Scared the crap out of me. I had an inhaler from my DR. used that. I threw out a 1/2 pack of cigs and never went back. I went through hell as I had acquired asthma . I still need treatments , have COPD..Had I continued I'd need another job to pay for them. :lol

Hey!

My Huz is really having a hard time... he started new heart pills - about 7 of them!! and he's been throwing up every morning, noon, AND night! He is stopping ALL the new heart pills, as they ALL say can cause "throwing up" He's going to wait a couple of weeks, and than start one pill and continue this until he finds out "which" of pills are making him sick! I know it's probably not right for him to stop all these heart pills, but I can't talk him into anything... :gaah: he does have a doctor's appointment next week with the heart specialist doctor, so maybe he'll have a better time of talking with the Huz and NOT taking these pills.!

Anyway...

Cruizing around WS!

Niner, can you give the prescribing doctor's office a phone call? They need to know this ASAP rather than next week if you haven't already called them. I am so sorry he is experiencing this. They should be able to help you right away and fix this. Hopefully.

Yeah, 7 new meds is alot at once, could be an interaction between them. Definitely let this doctor know all the meds he is on! I made a medication mistake a couple of nights ago that made me really sick, and I've done it before. This time I started a powerful antibiotic on Sat. for a UTI I got from all the stress of being under construction/living in a mess, and battling with a teenager. I didn't read the precautions and ate cheese. When they say don't take it with milk or yogurt, they mean all dairy! My stomach hurt all night and I was hot and couldn't sleep. I woke up nauseous and had diarrhea. Had to change antibiotics. Fortunately I didn't have to go in to see the doctor I am changing from, but the upside is that he knows which antibiotics I can take and called it in. The previous time he had prescribed a painkiller for me, and most meds are every 4 hours. Well one pill wasn't working, so instead of waiting 6 hours like I was supposed to, I assumed it was 4 hours and took 2 more, which means I had 3 pills in my system in 6 hours, I O'd! I got really sleepy, then started barfing on the way home from the restaurant, and it lasted about 4 hours. It was Christmas Eve. I felt so bad about ruining it for my daughter and husband, but they were both really sweet and kept me company and played me soothing guitar music!

Not the trains that are moving across Texas that the box cars have shackles for detainees
? Not the Walmart stores that have closed so they can be used to house people during marshal law? Or that on the map for Jade Helm has Texas listed as hostile and Colorado is listed a friendly.

You pissed off enough Texas boys and they'l go and protect the borders. Have you heard that Texas wants it gold back down here, and not up in New York City .

Let you know what happens tomorrow, as I have to go get fast food again tonight... :gaah:

1904 - After 13 years, the 4,607-mile Trans-Siberian railway is completed. I'd love to ride a train across Russia.
