Spellbound, there are no ads and I haven't had any issues with refreshing, loading etc. It looks different from what we are used to, but I am a whole lot less frustrated.

Thanks .... I just may have to give it a try.

My ex and I used to think she was singing I'm your p*nis, I'm your fire, your desire. Made sense to me way back when!

I love these old videos but then I have to wiki the bands to see what happened to them, who is alive and who is dead.

Not to belabor the point, but if I read this correctly... If you hold his pressure washer hostage (and it IS on your property, correct?), then HE would have to take YOU to court. I think the police were being overly cautious with their advice. And, they're law enforcement, not lawyers. I do believe that a lawyer would give you a very different understanding of what your options are.

I truly doubt that this guy has the kind of time or money to butt heads with you. Again, just the THREAT of a lawyer is often enough to make these types back off.... I'm also fairly certain he won't call in police... Just saying...

That said, please don't beat yourself up about this incident. He's already done enough damage; don't allow him to cause further mental distress to add to it. We've all been through these kind of ordeals. In the grand scheme of things it matters little. A few years from now, it will be a barely perceptible blip on the radar of your life. Please bear that in mind. :)

Thanks to all of you for understanding how stupid I was. I would not normally hire a handyman type person that wasn't licensed, bonded and insured. I liked this young man and his fiancé which was the problem. I wanted to help them out as I saw potential in him. Read: I would want someone else to give my son a chance if this was him.

My DH called his lawyer friend and it basically boils down to the verbal contract to provide labor for $400 to do the fascia. He did not complete the job and wanted more money. He did not return the $500 I gave him for supplies, nor did he clean my gutters for $125. So he needs to return $625 which he has already spent.

We will see how this plays out this morning. I know if it was my son I would tell him to suck it up, complete the job he was contracted to do and return the cash. You don't change the terms of a contract mid stream because you overestimated your abilities and underestimated the scope of the work. But that is me and my sense of entitlement is in check. The world does not owe me a living.

You have some good advice now, Zuri. I hope the process of getting the job done (I don't think I would trust him to complete it properly, though) or your money back is not too long or stressful. good luck

"Juan Martinez, the fiery prosecutor who convicted notorious murderess Jodi Arias for the disturbing killing of Travis Alexander, speaks for the first time about the shocking investigation and sensational trial that captivated the nation. Through two trials, America watched with baited breath as Juan Martinez fought relentlessly to convict Jodi Arias of Murder One for viciously stabbing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander to death. What emerged was a story wrought with sex, manipulation, and deceit that stunned the public at every turn..."

I am so thrilled that Juan has written a book about the trial of #281129. Too bad we have to wait until January. What great holiday gifts it would make.

My favorite song: "She's got it, yeah baby she's got it!" "I'm your Venus, I'm your fire, it's your desire".

I can hardly wait! this is one book I really want! there are always parts of a trial the public knows nothing about .This will be a good one. JA. is going to have a chit fit over this!! For what she put him through, he has earned the right to publish first book from actual trial. I am so happy for him. :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

I hope we find out if that "I remeber the knife going in" was a masterful set up by Juan because he knew she couldn't resist the urge to twist the knife one last time.

Hi Zuri, do you ever feel like you have a two year old again? I do!! Molly can catcha ball in her two front paws~mid air!!

  • #836
My wolf pup lady got a hold of me this morning, OMG, she has a gorgeous female (Alaskan and BC wolf) who she intends to breed towards the first of the year to a stud who is a half brother to my Poquita. They (Poquita and the male) share the same father, a 150 lb. Mal, Timber, Arctic cross out of the "White Fang" wolf dog.

By then, Ontos will be going on 10, and Poquita will be into her 5th year. And both will be able to help with the learning curve. I swear, WD pups have been the easiest pups to house train. 2 and 1 weeks, with just the random accident............and I had told myself Poquita would be the last pup of anything EVER!!!

View attachment 78687

Just can't see my life without a wolfdog.

The pony was a "project", passed on him. He'd been in a stall so the owner could "catch him". Not a good thing. So he's basically spent his life in a "box" for most of his 8 years, other than being chased/terrorized the few times she ever let him out to play in a pasture. Heck, I'd run away too, if I was going to be shoved back in a stall and ignored for all but feeding, haltered getting my hooves trimmed and shots from the vet.
That all kind of adds up to:
1. Halters are evil.
2. Stalls are evil.
3. Run away from people <-----(does he think they're evil too?) when you get the opportunity so you avoid #1 and 2.

Have Zuri pretty solid with her halter training. Bathing, spraying her with fly spray, picking up and cleaning her hooves, easy. Can slip her halter on, no problem. Have "played" with her in the round pen, no serious teaching sessions, just letting her know the round pen isn't "scary". We've been playing follow the leader, seriously, she thinks there is this invisible thread between me and her, and she just follows on my side. Responds when I call her. Stands, leads, turns.
And this is probably nonsense to any non-horses people!!!! Just kind of yacking away, lol!

Need to go through the posts to see what's been happening to my fellow sleauthers!!!!!:seeya:

What a beautiful wolfdog!

So you passed on that beautiful little horse- too bad he had such a bad life. :(

What is the correct title of the book??
When I checked the hardcover edition this AM, the title was Until Juan Martinez by JM and someone else, but now
it's called Conviction: The Untold Story of Putting Jodi Aria Behind Bars by just JM?
What goes on here???

I think Behr paint is the best- it covers very well, has good "texture" - as easy to spread the paint, and washes beautifully.
So good choice.
What room are you painting, if I may ask?

Y/N, I did a double-take on those titles, too. I had to check them out .... exact same description, different titles? Time will tell, I guess. I pre-ordered it for my tablet as a gift to myself.
