Malaysia 'Almost Certain' Debris Is From Same Type Of Plane As MH370

"SAINT-DENIS-DE-LA-REUNION, France, July 30 (Reuters) - Malaysia is "almost certain" that plane debris found on Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean is from a Boeing 777, the deputy transport minister said on Thursday, heightening the possibility it could be wreckage from missing Flight MH370...

"The location is consistent with the drift analysis provided to the Malaysian investigation team, which showed a route from the southern Indian Ocean to Africa," Najib said in a statement...

Veterinarians In Congress Introduce Bill To End Horse Abuse

"WASHINGTON -- Two veterinarians serving in Congress, one a conservative Republican and the other a Democrat, came together late Tuesday to introduce a bill aimed at ending an especially horrific type of horse abuse.
Reps. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) and Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.), along with more than 100 of their fellow Democrats and Republicans, are co-sponsoring the Prevent All Soring Tactics Act, or PAST. The bill would strengthen the existing ban on the practice of "soring" horses, or using painful chemicals, heavy chains and other devices to give breeds like the Tennessee Walking Horse an exaggerated, prancing gait..."

That whole fiasco has me furious, I hope the dentist gets nailed to the wall, little comfort for Cecil, or his cubs which the new Pride male will kill.

Right, the dentist didn't know it was an "illegal hunt". So wrong on every level.

What was the point?!?!?!? Little Man Syndrome?!?!?! Buy a big truck, FGS!!!!:gaah:

I hope that bill goes across the board to EVERY horse breed, too bad the 1970 cruelty bill has been ignored.

Hey all. I have not posted in forever but I have been lurking. Today on my way to work, I saw a horse and her baby horse.
Seeing the horses made me think of our lovely Bernina and Zuri.

Just wanted to pop in and let you know that I am lurking just not posting.

Hope everyone is well!!

Had Windows 10 downloaded, only problem was my provider, Century Link hadn't prepared their Norton Antivirus Upgrade for 10...........so, had to get "Defender" turned off when the upgrade finally came and had a bit of frustration wondering if I'd be picking up some bugs.
Not much of a transition, so far so good, just have to tweak some of the apps.
If I ever get another PC, it'll be an Apple.

Zuri, was wondering how long it'll take for my tendons under my heal to stretch out? The busted foot was in February, I've been faithfully doing stretch exercises with it, but it still feels like razor blades cutting through my heal, gah! I have a tremendous amount of sympathy for anyone who's been in a medical or other type of coma, bed ridden, or the like, man, those tendons, when they shrink, hurt!

I applied to be a Beta tester for Roku and I got chosen..........wonder if my tremendous high speed internet (all measly 1.5 mbps, wooHOO, she says) will make handle it? Have to sign a confidentiality agreement. Sounds so "cloak and dagger".

I am REALLY ready for summer to end. Had 2 days of smoke blowing through the area, from a controlled burn that started from a lightning strike about 2 weeks ago, to the North East, there's been very few fires in the State so far, cross fingers.

Just shocked at the blatant use of deadly force with the recent murder charge of the University campus policeman. Watched several YouTube videos that slowed the action on the officer's body cam. I've been stopped and not had my license, all I had to do was go to the Clerk of the Court and show it to them. (yep, you really don't expect to see a sheriff behind you on a stretch of cattle track between the mini mart and State land, and usually I was barefoot because I was just picking up 5 gallons of gas)
Just when I thought that "race" was not an issue, it becomes evident, that's not the case. I guess I'm pretty isolated or just naive. What a tragedy.

Bernina, the tendons under your heel should be mended, but you may still have swelling? Or they may still be slightly contracted due to immobilization?

Heel toe exercises might help. Also, doing the standing on a step and dropping your heels and kinda bouncing lightly. Good shoes. Arch support. Podiatrist lol. Walking on your toes or heels? I will ask DH when he gets home. Would you tell me again what bones broke? Brain is very bad today. It can take 6 months or longer for heel/foot pain to go away.

If you watch NFL games, athletes will miss games for mid foot sprains which sounds benign but are extremely painful and the player can't fully weight bear. So you are in good company. I am so sorry you are still having pain.

When our grandson was three we went to a restaurant that had an Elvis impersonator on Tuesady nights. We sat way on the other side of the room, and as we were eating Elvis was working his way around the room, stopping and singing to women, and when he got to our table , he sang to my grandson, getting down on one knee and holding his little hand until the song was over, and then he moved on to another song ,and as we left and were walking to the car my grandson said "grandma I don't like that singing man".

The break was in the middle of the outside foot bone, lol! February? No swelling, they definitely contracted with the air cast on.
Been wearing my Birkenstocks when I'm not actually "working" with the horses, or just barefoot, and Ariat Phat Babys when I'm doing "dangerous stuff". I'm not walking funny, and they don't bother me when I jog a couple 100' for something. It's mostly when I sit down and flex my foot.

They definitely aren't as bad as they were, but there's nothing like that sudden feeling like you've had your heel swiped by a box cutter, ouch!
