Since I had a couple actual 'death experiences' I can honestly say that when it's your time to go...you will! And nothing you can do about it. I firmly believe that! Was not my time yet, so I'm still around. But when the time does come my way, I will not be afraid or really care who or who not is around. Death is a private matter IMO. The only thing I worry about is my DH has never paid the bills, managed the money, he hasn't a clue! I have made a list for him of what is paid where and when. All I can do...guess if I go first, he will learn.

Well, we got a BIG surprise from our youngest granddaughter (who is away at college in her second year). She let us know she is dating and it is serious and may be the 'M' word. We were shocked! This child has never really dated (was too involved in her studies and setting her life goals and for her just up and announce this was mind blowing. LOL We will be meeting this special man in her life over Thanksgiving break. He's coming home with her.

Some of the fall colors in the Smokey's this weekend and they don't call it the Smokey's for nothing :) Look at the clouds over the Mts. Just awesome!!

Morning!

and just about it - what were you doing when you were 24, as my mother was!!??!! Yikes! Quite a different world they lived then!

That Should have said "and just Think about it - what were you doing when you were 24..."

My typing was ahead of my brain...

Niner and Bernina, I so enjoyed your long posts tonight!

Well - I enjoy your short posts! :)

I'd like to die in my sleep or just keel over. If I felt the need to have someone around, it would be my little brother, otherwise if it was debilitating, hook me up to a morphine drip and let 'er rip.
Knowing that someone would care enough to hang around, if that's what I wanted, would be great but you never know what life has planned for me or anyone else for that matter. I haven't had anyone actually "be there" when I've been really sick or busted up, and felt I'm supposed to suck it up and just deal with it. I haven't had much happen like that in the last 11 years, but the ex couldn't handle whatever did happen. If it wasn't about him, he'd make it about him. My busted foot was a problem for him and after the first 10 days, he threw a fit and said he was tired of feeding the critters............so I got out there and did it like usual. Haven't had many people around me who actually had much empathy or genuine concern so I've just gotten accustom to it. Kind of sucks.

first bold - Yeah - that's the way I'd like to go - real quick! :)
second bold - yeah, that truly sucks Bernina! Thank goodness for my Huz; he took care of me when I got the flu back in 1999 - with a 104 temp - I was delusional - and he took care of me; also when I had my hip replacement! :loveyou: Hope you find someone like I have!

Love the picture of your puppy coffeejunkie!!

The neighbor next door is cutting his trees down in the backyard! Lots of NOISE! :gaah: I wonder if he has a permit to do so, which you need here...

Getting ready to go see the Huz - last day for this! He comes home tomorrow! :happydance: Looking forward to it!

Well, that's about it for now!

Enjoy the day everyone!

Later! :seeya:

Bernina, if I was closer I would come and help with chores and whatever else I could manage. But chances are you would send me packing, since I can be very klutzy. Still... it is the thought that counts, right?

Rah, Mr Niner will be home tomorrow!! :happydance:

Discovered my cell phone was missing yesterday (for emergencies only, so it wasn't missed much). Now today we lost our phone and Internet service for most of the day. Hubby found my cell phone this morning, interest/phone is finally back things are starting to look up again.

We are having a bit of spring-like weather today. Warm, sunny, and nice.

Niner - great news huz is going home tomorrow! :great:

We have four to eight inches of rain coming in on Thursday and it's to last until next Tuesday. There is going to be flooding. Many places that flooded last spring are still holding standing water. We're on top of a hill so we're OK. Isn't it amazing how the earth falls and rises? When you're driving up to Oklahoma, you can see where erosion has washed away huge boulders like some one shoved them and they stacked up under each other. You wonder what was that forceful to produce that. And you can tell that you're going up. I guess the rise in sea level?

What is the terrain up there. Hills and valley? Creeks and cutbacks? Or flat with cornfields?

Bernina, thinking of your strong points, and where to restart from here. What about boarding 2 or 3 horses, or pet sitting? You have unique talents that are valuable.

We are basically very flat with many streams. Farm land for many crops .... corn, potatoes, tomatoes, cabbage, beans, apples.
