when we are being developed in the womb..we float about and touch the uterine wall..Our finger tips initially are like tree frogs with balls on the tips and smooth..AS we float about and bounce off the uterine wall ..the touching gives us our finger prints..An identical twin would NOT have the same print as it would be impossible for that twin to touch the uterine wall in the same place and at the same angle..hence their finger prints are the only difference.

Well, apparently I'm so old I thought I once knew the answer and just had forgotten.., reading the answer... I now realize that I never knew the answer because that doesn't sound familiar at all! So thank you! Love to learn stuff:)

Could Jodi have built up rage that burst like a dam when the gun went off and she snapped?

Do women ever kill their abuser when they see no way out?

Have any of your patients ever killed their abuser.

I agree with the other poster who said they sounded like they were formed by the same mind. It was my opinion at the time that most of if not all of these q's were coming from the same person. They all had this speculative tone and certain lack of reasoning. They were reaching, with their emotions, to find something to exonerate Jodi. They just sounded like the same person, you know? Now we know who it was. He connected emotionally with her and is looking for things to justify her actions and behavior. His reasoning isn't sound. How can he say he thinks she was indeed abused verbally and emotionally? Based on one text? I think he's thinking there is more there that he wasn't told. I think he is right but will be really surprised to hear that it's not quite what he thinks. Jodi absolutely tormented Travis.

A few text messages is not nearly enough to have a complete picture of a relationship. A few angry txt messages is not enough to determine abuse in this case. It is amazing how ppl hear these and don't realize there are likely thousands of other txts we haven't heard and will never hear.

I haven't been around much today and haven't seen all the interviews, so I was wondering has it come out yet why on earth this person was chosen to be the jury foreman? I would love to know how that happened.

BBM: I hope one of the jurors "spill the beans" on this ...

JMO, but I would not be surprised IF jury foreman appointed himself ...

I am so happy to hear that more jurors have spoken today !

That makes perfect sense! I've tried to imagine how any juror could think JM spoke down to them when it was the DT that was constantly insulting their intelligence. Yep, 18 seems exactly the type that would take JM's mockery personally, and resent DeMarte's smackdown of his flawed analogy as well.

Agree. JM wasn't talking down to anyone.

Now Dr. DeMarte ... I don't believe she made any secret of her incredulity at some of the things presented to her by the DT and she'd pretty much had enough of JW.

So she may well have had a bit of condescension in her answer by the time she heard that question. :floorlaugh:

my daughter is a csi and currently doing latent prints..That's what she says on the stand or something like it when she testifies ..to get people undertanding palm. toe, finger prints

My son (15) just finished a class "Crime Scene Investigation" ... He is super interested in a career somewhere in the justice system. He loved it! He has his heart set on being a detective....or a prosecutor. He was In awe of Juan.

What I found offensive about Jury Forepersons comments, was how he felt he needed to school us in how things work. My momma used to say if you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen. Perhaps he should have kept his opinion to himself if he was going to be a cry baby about the reaction to it. JMO

Indeed, school us on something he was unsure of...

Wow people are threatening the foreman? People need to get a life and step back from this case.

Tara Kelley replied to one of my tweets! I wish all jurors talked on twitter rather than going on a tv show.

I wish she would join here! I have been following her and she would fit right in. I love what she has to say.

BBM

I don't agree with anyone being threatened. But I don't have a problem with people expressing their disappointment in this foreman. It cuts both ways. (your BBM comment) You can't ignore the fact there wasn't one iota of evidence that Travis ever abused that woman. How can that be taken in to consideration? Her defense was self defense. Mr Foreman didn't find that when deciding Murder 1, so why does it come in during the sentencing phase? He said he was certain she was abused mentally and verbally. So, one email/text proves that? We have no idea why he was so angry, but we don't see it as a pattern, and he sure didn't call her the names you would expect if it was just him being abusive. Actually, I found the text/email as him expressing his sincere disgust with her. He didn't call her vile disgusting names, just him telling her that he finally realized she had some very disturbing flaws in her character, and he had never been hurt by anyone as badly as she hurt him. Abusive? Not in my book.
And Mr Foreman could have kept his mouth shut, stayed out of the limelight and avoided all the negative comments. His ego put him out there, and it's his ego that's causing the backlash. If anybody thinks we should respect his decision, maybe his supporters should respect our decision that his decision is carp! I'm sure there is "another" site that is giving him kudos all over the place. If I wanted to read great things about him, that's the first place I'd look.

:rockon::rockon: Very well said ! And I totally agree !

Why did it matter to the foreman if Juan was "condescending"? He's an adult right? Did he have to get revenge on the prosecution for the unforgivable act of being perceived as condescending? Emotional, child like thinking.

Indeed, school us on something he was unsure of...

He should have cut his teeth here, we could have school him and then he may have had a clue!

If he just followed one trial on here first.,,

Condescending? Juan? lol Like foreman knows and understands more than the public? His ignorance of the judicial system in that state he resides?
Pffft! That twit didn't even understand HIS job as a juror.

When I'm not wondering about JA...

I wonder if identical twins married identical twins what would the kids look like.

The original "Siamese twins:"

On April 13, 1843, they married two sisters: Chang to Adelaide Yates and Eng to Sarah Anne Yates. This made their respective children double first cousins. In addition, because Chang and Eng were identical twins, their children were genetically equivalent to half-siblings, thus making them genetically related in the same manner as half-siblings who are also first cousins.

No word on what the children looked like.

Yes, did you read the instructions to the jurors?

"The jurors must consider whether there were mitigating factors that would warrant Arias getting life in prison. Here are the factors that Arizona law says the jury can consider as "mitigating factors":

  1. Arias' capacity to appreciate the wrongfulness of her conduct or to conform her conduct to the requirements of law was significantly impaired, but not so impaired as to constitute a defense to prosecution
  2. She was under unusual and substantial duress, although not such as to constitute a defense to prosecution
  3. Arias was legally accountable for the conduct of another, but her participation was relatively minor, although not so minor as to constitute a defense to prosecution
  4. Arias could not reasonably have foreseen that her conduct in the course of the commission of the offense for which Arias was convicted would cause, or would create a grave risk of causing, death to another person
  5. Arias’ age
They also can consider these points:

  • Cooperation with police/investigation
  • Lack of prior criminal record
  • Difficult childhood or family background
  • Family and community ties
  • Lack of intent in Felony murder
  • Good character prior to murder
  • Intelligence and education (often times lack of education is a mitigating factor)
  • Good conduct in prison
  • If victim's family asks for leniency
  • Possibility of rehabilitation, will convicted be a danger in the future
  • Shows remorse, grief "

We all have emotions, but this is the justice system, the rules must be followed. :notgood:

The essential question to the jurors is; does the aggravating factor of cruelty outweigh any mitigating factors presented by the defense, or vise versa if you will. So if a juror decides that "no criminal history" is relevant enough to vote for life, the juror is essentially saying the fact that she had no criminal history carried more weight than the fact that she made in suffer in a cruel way while killing him.

I believe it was the sex tape. Think about it. She tape it without his knowledge, I am certain of that.. It would destroy him and his life as he knew it. Of course he would feel utterly betrayed by her. And of course he would not tell anyone. Remember some of the things said in that tape, tie you to a tree etc. If it was money, or stealing or a number of other things I believe he would have told at least one person, but he would not ever, ever tell anyone about that tape. my opinion only.

Could it be possible that CKJA told Travis she was pregnant, but only told him that after she says she had an abortion. Even though it would of course all be a lie and she made that up to hurt him and to get back at him and just to mess with his head. Only reason I thought this could be it , is when Travis said she hurt him more than when his father died. If this is totally off the wall...keep in mind I am stressed and tired.
