I know this is going to sound so, so, SO stupid but what the H-E-double hockey sticks.

I've been battling my depression for the past week and missed three days of work last week. I HAVE to go back tomorrow but getting up and going is THE hardest part of my day when I have 'the sads'. If you are so inclined, will you say a lil prayer for your HO?

:tyou:

Prayers and a hug HO

I see him in two weeks.

Excellent...my first meds did't do squat by themselves but after a couple of years my Dr added a very very mild anti psychotic and PRESTO...like within a week, I was like a marionette who'd been picked up off he floor...

Plus seeing a counselor helps too, but I really needed the right medication.

My tennis analogy describes it best for me..

Having to go to work during a severe depressive episode is like having to go play tennis with the worst flu you ever had...

That's exactly what it's like. When I've used that analogy on friends who didn't know what it is like they always go ...Ohhhhhhhh

That's when they get it.

I can't even tell you how many people I've shared this analogy with since I first read it so thank you!

"Blessed are the cracked, for they are the ones who let in the light."

Amen sister! I'd still like to know why medical science can give a 90 year old guy a stiffy but they can't come up with anti depressants that work better. I swear I've tried them all. :scared:

I've tried probably 15 different meds (I'm making myself sound like a basket case but oh well). Stuff works for awhile, then stops. Blah.

Sorry!! Didn't mean to turn this into the depression thread. :blushing:

That's when I got it. Wow.

Wow! I wish I could get my doctor to try other things. I've tried all the standard anti depressants and they just keep me barely functional. I miss having energy, having dreams and hopes for the future and not just barely shuffling through every day. You're lucky to find a good doc!

Consider it done HO. I get the "sads" a lot, and getting up to face the day is the hardest part. Let's meet for a beer and chat sometime (virtually). I really do understand how you feel.

Bwwwwwwaaaahahahahahahahahaaa!!!!

You can expect some depression if you've been following a trial and suddenly it ends with this question mark, as in this case. Maybe you just have what they call the "In a Long Sidebar Trail Blues".

HO, if I may call you that, you are in my prayers. Get out there and soak up some good vibrations, and I'll try to do the same. Hopeful, please stay hopeful. :blowkiss:

Omg....did anybody else grow up in a house full of macrame owls...with weird(scary) glass eyes...
or was that just my childhood?:scared:
