Hah, don't even have to click to know. I've been saying from day one, IMO she is a psychopath - textbook. My undergraduate degree and graduate degree had a lot of psychology classes and the minute I heard her talk, that was my guessestimate. The BPD diagnosis.... I'll defer to the expert Dr. D that JA is that but she is BPD with psychopathy IMO and THAT is plenty reason to not allow her to ever be able to interact with society again. She is perfectly capable of killing again and that is downright frightening.
I wish the general public would wise up. Stop responding to her... Shut her out. THAT would drive her nuts.
Oh I agree! My kids are 20 and 21.
I was just thinking that a juror could fault a parent...
Not that it would be the correct conclusion...

to this day - this still creeps me out!!!
She's just been acquitted of Manslaughter ... She's Goin' to Disney World
I gotta know ... Was she in custody awaiting trial? Her hair was bleached to the nines with no roots coming through ... and she had a perfect french manicure ... Ain't no Bertha in the cell block doin' that stuff. She was wearing about a thousand bucks worth of clothes and jewelry in court ... So much for looking sympathetic. Get chitfaced shoot your BF admit to doing it in a drunken stupor ON VIDEO .... and go to Disney World... Floriduh.
That's not right. The writer didn't fully understand the law. Because finding they were subject to a sudden passion, in Texas, reduces murder one to murder two, in essence. But it's still murder, not manslaughter.
I think kind of a general breakdown for these types of crimes across the board would be something close to this:
1st degree murder: Planning involved and/or a death occurs during the commission of a certain felony like a violent robbery, rape or child abuse.
Second degree murder - A particularly horrible killing with a gun or knife or bat that occurs as a result of a sudden rage. They kind of mean to kill or hurt really badly but there is no prior planning. These are typically pretty gory killings and jodi's might have fit this somewhat if not for the serious premeditation involved. However, the savagery and prolonged nature of the killing, as well as the fact that she killed him three different ways starts looking less like second degree. Second degree murder is often quite bloody but not necessarily as extreme as what jodi did here.
Voluntary manslaughter - Russian roulette/speeding or driving dangerously while driving drunk/leaving a baby in a hot car because you were in a hotel room doing drugs
Involuntary homicide or criminally negligent homicide - leaving a loaded gun in reach of a child/driving drunk or under the influence but not grossly so/leaving a baby in a hot car because you were in a hurry and forgot.
These are just some examples. I agree , it can be confusing.
But I find psychology to be very nebulous and without too many specific lines. Thus in psychology, if it "feels" abusive, it is abuse. And if you go with that definition for abuse, anything can be considered abusive: "He refused to pick up my calls after we just had sex. It made me feel uncomfortable and used." Eg.
i just can't fault the parents since we have no idea what they tried to do or how the handled all situations - as dr phil says - ppl do what they know how, when the no beter they do better - so who knows what really happened what they did and what they really knew how to do and what resouces they had - i think JA has a complicated diagnosis imo, and i think a lot of parents would be very hard pressed to know exactly what do and not to do w/ her
I've always thought that too - that she either threatened to blackmail him with it or she actually revealed it to the Bishop to get him in trouble with the church.
I seem to recall that the nice lady who was his former GF, with whom he had relations, she said that they confessed to the bishop and that one transgression of the rule of celibacy was bad enough but a 2nd would have been much worse. Does anyone else recall that testimony? If Jodi threatened to rat him out to the Bishop that would have gotton him into real serious trouble with the church. I am less sure that PPL would care that much.
Is that a quote from her allocution? I'm thinking she's still grating over the fact that numerous reporters called her out for not saying sorry when she was doing her show and tell presentation ..
No no no no no. I am older than your parents. You are talking ageism. I am appalled by the younger generations' disrespectful, unaesthetic view and major attitude when it comes to humans in their communications, but that has nothing to do with how people are socialised and their lack of critical thinking. This happens in every generation.
It's about REASON. This has nothing to do with age.
Oh, didn't you hear, Mrs. G? She said she was sorry, or thought she did, and said she was sorry for not saying it if she didn't, but that it wouldn't do any good to say it now, because it's just words, and anyway she did, or thought so, and wow, she didn't know we were all haters.
