One of the best songs of all time, ever.

Hi! I'm totally going to hijack the music theme of this thread lol. Please don't throw anything at me! So....I need some tattoo help. I have a stupid tattoo on my right ankle of a rose that I got when I turned 18, and I only got it because I was finally legally able. I'd like to cover it with some more meaningful. Would love to have an elephant theme maybe. Thoughts? Please tell me (kindly!!) if I should post this elsewhere.

Todd Rundgren - Hello It's Me (1972) - YouTube

I love this song too!! Reminds me of when I attended a dance with Walter Miller in Valentine. I think I was a freshman in HS. We left the dance in the gym and snuck off to the school library. There were big windows in the library and I looked out those windows and saw that a light snow had begun to fall. He had braces on his teeth and a bite of burrito in his mouth. We still kissed! It was the most romantic thing ever. Music is the soundtrack of my life. Do not know who to credit that with, Dick Clark or Cameron Crowe..but it's true for me.

A few years later...reality hit. LOL! Funny how songs can take one back.

I found it. I love love love this show Live from Daryl's House where he jams with other famous musicians in his home studio (and even has a gourmet lunch).

I discovered this singer Rumer through it, check out this song on this list Take me as I Am. I'm crazy about that song...also their duet of Sara Smile, one of my favorite all time songs.

I can't thank you enough for this. I've loved Darryl Hall (and I can tolerate John too :-) for over 40 years - since he was with Gulliver. This show comes on sporadically where I am and obviously I missed when Todd Rundgren (sigh) was on, I didn't even know. I found the show and just watched it and it made my day.

Katie, every day people thank you for keeping them informed about the trial's particulars and the good that you do. I want to thank you for reminding me of a really special time in my childhood and for putting a smile on my face that should take me through the day.

Hugs to you!

Guys, I am so loving the MTV clips!!!

Could someone please post "Der Kommissar" by Falco (RIP)? He's one of my all-time faves - so handsome, cool, sexy, talented, etc., and that video, to me, is the height of sublime WTFery.

Also, for the true MTV fanatics, please try to post "Pop! Goes My Heart" - it's from a Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore film and it epitomizes every single 80's video (plus the tune is really great!).

If someone could tell me how to post the videos here, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

"and the words that I could never say are gonna come out anyway..."

This song makes me cry and smile. I just love that last part. There is another one that I went crazy for lately. I like this music sharing..thanks for inviting me sleuth5.

I'm glad you came, but I can't help but notice that you didn't bring any snacks.

Hi Viv,

I loved you on Lucy, and I have to say, it annoyed me to hear that she made you wear clothes a half size too small so she could look like the "svelte" one. You were a trooper!

To post the video directly, just find the youtube video you want. Go up and copy and browser address directly, and past that in your post. Et voila!

THIS!

Katie, I love your taste in music. Love, love, love that show from Hall & Oates, love them too.

Another of my all time favorite songs was "She's Gone". I used to sit next to the radio just waiting for that song to be played. [And "I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby" by Barry White]

Did you know that Todd Rungren produced some of H&O early albums? :)

cool points for you for this!

They have no idea that I am much more likely to be listening to "Shoot to Thrill" before lecture than Rachmaninoff. But my tastes are eclectic. :)

Tom Petty y'all! :) Saw him in concert many times! :)
