BBM Well, I guess Mr. Ashton did not make that clear, where it counted, in a court of law.

Maybe some may believe that but Linda Drake Burdick didn't have a problem. I heard and understood what she was saying loud and clear. jmo

It's not exactly that clear-cut - the parent/guardian always retains usage rights. They've licensed to ABC,etc for them to use - but ABC cannot transfer usage rights. They COULD object if they bought an exclusive. Internet usage has made this a really grey area though. KC and CA would still have reasonable means to object to her likeness being used without their authorization, unfortunately. Pretty much always and forever :(

Again, NAL, just experience with licensing.

I'm thinking it was ABC that may have objected or Amazon removed them because they did not want a problem. jmo

BBM - Did I miss something? Were test results from a lie detector test disclosed today? TIA

No, I realized how I wrote it could sound like that. It was writen in baez book, it has never been disclosed.

I wish I could remember which book site I was on yesterday - it stated that Baez had sold a grand total of 2800 books, total from all sales. :floorlaugh:
Jaycee Dugard sold 175000 on her first day! That is sweet!

That sounds quite generous ZsaZsa - his total world amazon sales last time I checked had yet to hit 1000...

Why keep blaming Ashton...there were 3 sitting at the prosecution table and Mr. The buck stops here Lamar could have stepped in at anytime and removed any of these people and done the job himself.

Because Jose can't stand Ashton. Therefor those that support Jose can't stand Ashton. If Jose says the sky is green, there are those that will argue til the end of time that the sky is in fact green. Ashton made it clear that he had zero respect for Jose which is something that Jose can not stand. Jose has to make sure that his peeps tell everyone how horrible Ashton is while Jose is a fantastic lawyer that stands for the rights of the wrongfully accused.

MOO

Well said but I'm still on the fence whether there was anything to leave at the door in the first place.

Hahahaha!

I would assume that if Amazon is "doing this" for Baez, they do it for all their books; therefore all sales reports for Ashton's book are invalid also.
Ya think that's necessary when there's actually interest in a book? When someone goes into a Barnes and Noble (as a poster did here) and they're told they actually sent Baez's book back...ya know there must not be much interest. Heck...his book has only been out a few weeks. It wouldn't surprise me that numbers are manipulated to show an INCREASE in sales. You have to generate a buzz somehow. Unfortunately, though...nothing has helped poor Jose.

And how did Amy stab Casey in the back exactly?? By bringing Casey's distraught mother, who was terrified that Caylee was dead, to Tony's apartment so that Casey could clear everything up?

ETA: Well, I guess that's not what JB was talking about anyway, because Amy didn't even know about the checks at that time. So what was he talking about??
Pressing charges?

Okay since I am seeing some sniping going on about sales numbers and stuff for Baez vs. Ashton, let's get down and dirty about Baez's actual sales even though his sales rank is wallowing around trying to just stay afloat at 1066...and this is just over three weeks from the release date...oh....Hi Jose....:seeya:

These numbers are taken from novelrank - for Amazon only. Ready???

Amazon.com - total sales June/July - 625 units (books)
Amazon.ca - total sales June/July - 233 units
Amazon.uk -total sales June/July - 19 units
Amazon.fr - total sales June/July - 0 units
Amazon.de - total sales June/July - 1 unit

Which brings us to the grand total of Amazon sold books since the book release is....................878 units....er...books IN THE WORLD!!!

Don't you know that was just a big misunderstanding according to Cindy Anthony?

And now Baez is joining that train. Maybe 400 bucks is a misunderstanding to them, but dear GOD, not to me. Somebody steals that much money from me, they'll be lucky if it's just the bank that goes after them!

So, so, soooooooooo glad I am not reading his stupid book.
...but Cindy saw fit to remove whatever money was in Casey's wallet (because, afterall, it was probably hers anyway) the night she reported her beloved granddaughter missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who thinks this way??!!!

What I find strange is that several times in the book he talks about how he thinks Casey is a fruit loop, like when she told him the Zenaida story and then said that someone in the prison walked by her cell with a sign that said Timer 55...lol...sorry but that still makes me laugh, yet he wrote this book like he believed everything she told him, ie: I didnt kill her, my dad molested me etc....did he think she was crazy or not? In my opinion, if he hadnt needed FCA's permission to write it, he probably would have gone the oher direction and said he knew what she did...think he could never be accountable for it since the trial is over and would have probably made more money with the truth IMO

Oh BTW peeps...Baez mentionned Websleuth in this book, I knew he was reading it while building his defense
Probably how he found out about Yuri.

OH, AND LADIES OF THE REVIEW???? (a little pun or play on words there - bwahahaha) you and your gentlemen friends are doing a fantastic job over at Amazon, expressing your true feelings about the inconsistencies and outright lies in Jose's "book" which you have all taken one for the team and for Caylee and actually read - so from my heart to yours - thank you thank you thank you. A brilliant representation of what really happened and is documented in legal court documents in this case! :crush: :woot: :woot: :woot:

OK, I am not sure of which of JB's book promotion interviews he said this because I have not been listening to his crap other than when someone puts him in his place...but...I recall him having defended Casey's stealing from Amy with "she had no money and no place to live, so she had no choice but to steal." That is paraphrased but it is what he said. I got the impression JB was trying to get people to believe Casey stealing from her family and friend was done out of desperation rather than malice. Because, to JB if people are willing to consider that, they might then see that Casey was Amy's victim instead of how it really was, IMO.

Casey did have a place to live and food in her belly. She could of gotten another job,but she didn't. She was taking and stealing every penny from Cindy and had moved on to her grand parents and friends. She couldn't go back to Hopespring without Caylee and she knew it. It was her decisions that gave her no place to live. Casey isn't getting any symphany from me. Casey said she didn't regret her decision, was the happiest she'd eve been and liked her new life with new friends. Casey did the end results justify the means? Casey is not the victim here.

I've always felt sorry for Amy. Casey lied and stole just about all she had. I hope she is doing well. I hope and pray everyone that befriend Casey is doing well.

I can feel my blood pressure on the rise. Amazing how some small insignificant things can feel so bold as to make assumptions about me and my children as long as their identity is hidden.

With long hair I'm sure her hair and DNA were all over the car....
But, did he happen to mention the hair with the death band? How common is it to find hairs from the head of a dead child in your trunk?

LOL...JB mentioning the death band hair? No, he left that out. It's similar to how he quotes out of context by way of leaving out portions of a person's entire statement.

I wish Amy nothing but the best as well. She fell for the charms of a sociopath but reality is many people fall for such charms at some point in their lives.

Baez said that about Casey needing to steal out of desperation because he knows that no matter how stupid the statement, there are those out there who will at least consider it a possibility. He hopes people will come to excuse Casey's thefts as something she was forced to do to survive after she had to flee in fear from her home, poor thing.

Okay, still trying to slog my way through this waste of paper, and just had to share this brilliant quote from the book.

"I have to say I never liked Amy. Yes, Casey stole some of her checks and cashed them, but that's no excuse for her stabbing her supposed best friend in the back."

Really? REALLY?

"I have to say I think Caylee is overrated. Yes, she ended up dead in a swamp being eaten by animals but that's no excuse for her putting her poor mother through a long arduous trial and then having to be a pariah ever after." GMAFB.

To me, it doesn't matter if or why the images were removed. A lot of people saw them while they were posted.
