Thank you KarmaGet'em for this in Today's Current News thread.

"Woman suing Casey Anthony wants to know how much she's made since acquittal
http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/...ch-shes/nRBWM/

Quote:
Anthony has reportedly received "something" from her parents, as well as the charity they started in Caylee's name. She has also reportedly received money from “The Dr. Phil Show” and ABC.

This article is dated today, though it seems like it was reported a little while ago."

Is this thrown in the news as people are celebrating JA's win and hope no one takes the time to read it?
How and why is this woman and her posse getting away with this. I am so mad!

First off. Congratulations to Jeff Ashton!! Wonderful news for Florida!

For a long time, I held out hope that GA would do the right thing and stand up for Caylee. He did not! He failed his beloved Granddaughter. Period! The entire Anthony clan failed Caylee. There was no justice for her death. I blame this on each and every single one of them. GA had his chance with justice, he had his chance to walk away, tell the truth, and let his granddaughter receive justice for her murder. At any point during the trial, I would have been thrilled if he did the right thing, and stood for something meaningful. He did not. He stood beside his lying wife, his murdering daughter, and a web of lies. GA went on to profit off the death of his Granddaughter. To me, it's sickening. I was one of his biggest supporters up until the Dr. P interview. NO WAY, NO MORE! Until he opens his mouth about the truth of what happened, leaves his evil daughter and wife, I have not ONE ounce of sympathy for him. IMO - showing up at the Jeff Ashton victory party, was an insult to justice and to Caylee Marie Anthony, wedding ring or not. Pitiful. I will never speculate again, about his good intentions for Caylee, he had none. ZERO! He is not a good man, nor was he a good Grandpa. He owes Caylee much more than this latest charade.

Such a wonderful morning! Jeff is new State Attorney, Judge Perry is where he needs to be, and so is JB (in the tank). Lawson Lamar is spewing sour grapes. FCA, who knows? She'll soon be "free as a bird" without the fetters of probation. Now, her only burdens are a very large Federal Tax bll (whose interest makes it larger by the day), a defamation lawsuit, a TES lawsuit, no job (except for being herself, whatever that may be on a given day), and no prospects for gainful employment without a GED.

As for the Anthony's, who knows? After seeing George in his short visit with Jeff Ashton, I thought he looked cool, calm, and collected. The fact he came out to congratulate JA tells me that, indeed, it may have been Ashton who helped guide him through the shark-infested trial. IMHO, GA is a terribly flawed man, but he's the only member of the immediate family who knew Casey did it. I don't blame him for not wanting her to get the DP, as Logical Girl said.

Oh, LG, the numbers are now:

I agree. Caylee Marie DESERVED the support GA gave FCA, not the felon/murderer. Respect is gone. And it's all due to GA's own actions. There are plenty of examples of families of murderers who still love and support their family member without snubbing their nose at what is right. The Hacking family, the Dalmer family, and the Unabomber's family jump straight to my mind.

This whole "death penalty" escapism only comes in to play when the sentencing phase should have taken place. He spit on Caylee to "save" his daughter from death. Well, she's free and empowered. How's that working for ya, Georgie? Caylee's still dead. She never had the chance that you've now given her murderer.

George gets no "conflicted" slack from me. He made choices. Now he has to live with the consequences.

i have skipped a few posts because my kids aren't going to give me much time to type this but I had two very long Casey dreams last night. So strange. She was doing some sort of community service type speech about how lying can get you in more trouble then it is ever worth. She gave her little speech, cried a lot then there was a Q&A...I laid in to her during the Q&A and the people in the community center (including my own mom) were mad at me and escorted me out. But somehow my tirade made it to the newspaper...and of course Websleuths. Anyway, the like underlying message I got from the dream was she is very pretty in person and that's why people want to protect her...she puts on a good show. Anyway, just thought I'd share since Websleuths and FCA made an appearance in my dreams.

weird.

Wow, just woke up to this and saw the video of George talking to reporters for 48 seconds. I haven't read all the posts here yet, but I wanted to say ... umm... gee... nice, big, new, green vehicle.

To be fair, it could be his work truck.

I took from the little GA congrats comment that JA has been supportive after the trial as well. JA has continued to be a "friend" to GA where one is very much needed. I imagine JA has shared his experience of denial with families and given some hefty advice to GA along the way.

Jeff Weiner ‏@JeffWeinerOS
#CaseyAnthony's father, George, just made a quick appearance at #JeffAshton's victory party. He congratulated Ashton.

Maybe he is trying to butter-up Ashton. He could be scared that Ashton's first order of business will be to charge Cindy with perjury. Congradulations to both Ashton and Perry.

Is this possible? Could Jeff Ashton really do this? If so I wish he would!

It appears Lamar has a little bit of sour grapes going on, from Hal's article:

Victor Jeff Ashton promises ‘a few changes’ on News 13
http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/en...ashton-promises-a-few-changes-on-news-13.html

"In his concession speech, Lamar complained about the coverage. “I never took time off to campaign. It’s very difficult to overcome free publicity,” Lamar said. “We didn’t do it.”
Lamar also complained about ”the new news cycle and the new power of the social media, the power of publicity many times over hard work.”

blah blah blah, ad nauseum :deadhorse:

LOL yes blah blah blah!!! So all his years in office wasn't enough campainging!

A miracle would be he left CA, has nothing to do with KC and writes a book with the money he gets from a lawsuit against KC and CA and JB.

You know, if GA did all this I think I might buy his book.

EXACTLY the way I feel. He helped free a murderer in my opinion. I saw him lie on National television. He took 600,000 dollars to talk about his dead grandchild. He won't publicly deny the accusations in JB's book. He KNOWS she did it, yet look at what he has done. Collection money, making cameos at other search parties for other kids. Remember the boat? How dare he congratulate the very person that had to spend millions to prosecute his daughter when he could have stopped it by telling the truth. No Pass from me for a stupid "congratulations".

Wonderfully said okiedokietoo - my thanks. I completely agree and I have never gotten a good answer to the question - what do you mean he fell on his sword? I thought it was clear all throughout the trial that he knew FCA was guilty.

I agree GA knew FCA was guilty. I believe they all knew. They all did everything they could to save FCA from the DP, they just never thought for one second she would be set free.

He won't.

But to answer your question, it is possible, if he were so inclined. It was a capital case so there is no statute of limitations on perjury committed during the trial. There may be time limits to prosecute on her other perjuries though...her deposition(s) and any statements made under oath outside of the trial.
