Is Casey Anthony a social climber or opportunist? I tend to lean towards opportunist as she is not concerned about social status. She does care about her appearance and getting attention. On the other hand, she likes to have a lot of money and live the good life. Again, she does not aspire to climb the ladder.

A social climber would be someone who is obsessed with being of higher social status. They tend to be more "conservative" in nature. They can be vindictive in nature if they feel threatened as they always feel. If they have children, they often live through them. Not all of them do. They have goals, but they are unattainable. Example of a social climber are Lori Drew, Wanda Holloway, South Hadley 6, and Betty Broderick.

Casey Anthony did not vicariously live through Caylee. Holloway lived through her daughter Shanna Harper, while Drew lived through her daughter, Sarah Drew. Broderick had children, but she used them as pawns in her divorce case. I do not think she lived through her children.

As for George and Cindy Anthony, they are opportunists as well. They like having attention and having a lot of money. Yet, they are not interested in climbing the social ladder. Casey Anthony is reflected because of them. I do not know about their childhood, but I think their parents never gave them a warm fondness a child inherently expects.

I think "Baba Wawa" probably has mixed feelings about a potential OCA interview: On the one hand, she would be FIRST with the "BIG SCOOP!" (Big Whoop); but on the other hand, the negative reaction would be overwhelming. Let's hope she can see the forest for the trees and doesn't let her lust for a big ol' trash wallow overwhelm whatever common sense the old lady has left.

And I can say old 'cos I turned 60 yesterday! I have officially entered my dotage!

So may I have three wishes (a combo birthday/Christmas gift)?

1) Casey Anthony has a massive run-in with the karma train, and sooner rather than later. (This is a given, whether I wish it or not...you don't do what she did and not pay for it eventually.)
2) George and Cindy Anthony spend their ill-gotten gains and the gravy train dries up and they are left only with....each other.
3) The Pinellas 12 have recurring nightmares of OCA running amok, thanks to their laziness and ineptitude.

But for my fellow WSers...I wish you Peace and Love and all good things, always. You are full of win and awesome!

I woke up thinking about Caylee this morning. Thinking about how this world had failed this precious angel in more ways than one. I know that a lot of people worked so hard on her behalf... but then I think about all the people that truely betrayed her. Her family. Her own flesh and blood. Every single one of them, for three years, turned their backs on her.

Leonard Padilla and his entire crew. They entered themselves into this case not for Caylee... but for their own personal gain. Kid Finders... same thing. Joy Wray who tried to obstruct this investigation in any way she could (whether sane or insane, there is no excuse).

River Cruz... she is a vile human being, imo.

The woman who made it so a whole batch of jurors had to be dismissed. The one who was a searcher for TES and was on the witness list. The one person who could have hung that jury could have been in that batch of jurors. The woman who interuppted jury selection by screaming "She killed her baby" or something like that and that one juror had to be dismissed. That could have been the woman to hang this jury.

I know there are so many more that I am forgetting, but I am just really angry today for some reason?

Thinking about it... no wonder Casey went free. She has all these people willing to betray a 2-year-old baby, who never did anything wrong in this world, and ultimately allowed Casey to go free. And for what? What do any of them have to show for it now? Other than they have made it impossible for Caylee to ever get any kind of Justice for her death?

I agree Lola, a few more are WW and her "I spoke with Caylee at the airport" which forced an innocent family in Atlanta to prove to the FBI that their daughter was not Caylee, and then there is LB with her phony TES docs, there are more. And the scary fact is that I don't think that any of these individuals have any shame in what they did to interupt and misdirect Caylee's case.

I will not watch any show on HLH, or Fox, other than trial footage - I'm done with the propaganda these talking heads promote. IMO, all these shows do is regurgitate nonsense and provide platforms to the Leonard Padilla's of the world.

My wish this year is for Casey to strongly feel all the ridicule and mockery being sent her way by hundreds if not thousands of people. I wish good things to come to all the friends and acquaintances that FCA used and blindsided in her wake. My wish for Caylee has already come true because she'll never be forgotten and for me she represents my increased awareness and vigilance for children.

I have purple sparkly ornaments on my tree this year and Caylee, they are so pretty.

Unfortunately BW will probably be more inclined to go with the BIG SCOOP than she is with doing the right thing. She could have an interview where she puts Casey on the spot but most likely it will come down to BW having to agree to only discuss specific topics and ask specific questions. IOW, no difficult questions for Casey, ever, and anyone who wishes to ask those questions will not get an interview.

I do expect Casey to be interviewed sooner or later but whether it's BW or JVM or Dr. P they will likely walk on eggs the whole time, afraid or unwilling to touch a nerve. I will not watch for that reason.

Now, if anyone were to take the high road and actually put Casey in the hot seat, I would tune in to that online after the fact. Even if it had to be sprung on Casey without warning, forcing her to get up and walk out midway through the interview, seeing an interviewer with the guts to corner Casey with the truth would be priceless, IMO.

Well said Krkrjx! Those are the only circumstances I would watch a Casey interview also - after the fact and after I've heard that the interviewer took the high road and really ripped into her.

It may be a 10 year wait for OCA to mess everything up again in order for karma to show her any lessons she should have learned. Look at OJ, how long it took him. However, I don't think he had learned a lesson, so OCA won't either.

Well that's good news! Surely America has seen half baked sleazy lawyers before! Maybe its a Steve Jobs Interview that she did before he died - someone who really matters....or has actually made a contribution...

IMO, OCA has a Charles Manson type of freak appeal, and he brings the crazy in every interview I've ever seen of him. I can't see OCA doing that. I think no pay day for OCA unless she gives up the full monty - EVERYTHING. And, I don't think that's ever going to come out of OCA's mouth - maybe somebody else's mouth (I'm looking at you GA/LA) but not hers.

Well, I suspect at some point we will be seeing the "new" Casey Anthony. The one who has "healed" through therapy and who has now had a chance to grieve her loss.

Her people will want her shown as a changed person and one who looks forward to a productive future and blah blah blah. I think that's what any interview would center on; I doubt her people will allow any interview that does not show the postive aspects of Casey, and that would mean no questions about her past. It would have to be present and future only, IMO.

If there is ever anything said publicly about Casey's past it will focus on pre-Caylee days, an interview where she and/or her people try to convince the world that Casey was a victim of her childhood.

It will just be a continuation of the "it's not my fault" scenario that many criminals embrace. Their evil deeds are never their fault, it's always someone else's.

...I'm so there with you. I watched a Caylee video over on the "candle" thread and saw the joy in her eyes, in her dance. Now, all I keep thinking of is how afraid she must have been on that fateful day. Just can't shake it. That sweet, sweet child... beautiful Caylee.

I've heard this from Robyn Wolensky - who wrote Beautiful Life?, that OCA is getting "healthy" and that "OCA's people" will reveal the new her in time. If this is true, then think this interview will happen in 2052...and I may be long gone by then.

Yes, if they really do wait until she is healthy, it will not happen until around 2052.

But they won't wait that long. They will want a payout a lot sooner. So it will happen sooner, and she will be touted as healthy even if it isn't true.

I will not watch. I do not intend to listen to more of her lies or their lies on her behalf, nor do I want to see anything that gives Casey a venue to make excuses or that puts money in any of their pockets.

Hmm - pop culture figure? Maybe it's that young country singer who's gotten so many awards? Then there's what's his name who got kicked off of two and a half men...I don't know - would Barbara really consider Baez to be someone who fits into pop culture and is a "somebody"? Would anyone find him "fascinating"? Seriously???
