It appears that Amazon has opened up reviews for the door stopper, and people are coming out in full force. One reviewer that gave it 5 stars links back to a wish list created in 2011 for some guy named Jose Baez.

I hope that I and others here can remain above the frey and not let this get the best of us. I will consider this as sort of a tsunami - comes in full force, causes massive damage and then leaves quietly.

Rise above it.

Anything interesting on his wish list?

Thank you ALL!! I appreciate the kindness ..I have followed the case since 2008 and have read every deposition and have seen all the evidence released ...and started reading threads on this site shortly thereafter ..I have strong theories and opinions I look forward to sharing!! :)

I am not looking forward to next week at all. July the 5th will be the anniversary of the dreadful verdict.

I think I might spend the day with my TV off, and just spend some time thinking of little Caylee. I sure don't want to fall into that black pit of sorrow and anger again.

Maybe I might have to keep it off for the whole week. I sure don't want to see the gloating faces of any of the defense team. I'm sure it's not a coincidence that Baez's book is being released next week.

BBM- perfect!

Okay...so I had to go take a look at what people were saying. Surprised that Jose has that many friends...lol. Saw one discussion about Jose being the "winner"...why do people look at this as a contest? I've done a lot of thinking about what would have (and IMO should have) been said if Casey was found guilty and I really doubt that people would be cheering that the State won. I would think that they would be cheering that justice was served for Caylee. Though I can see how some folks might believe that the system worked (though it baffles me), I can't understand how they can be celebrating Jose as a winner...when the loser (no, not the State) was Caylee.

So glad you finally joined us!!
Welcome!

I'm still baffled as to why Casey wasn't held accountable in the death of Caylee and why Cindy wasn't charged with accessory after the fact for cleaning out the car. If Casey would have been found guilty I wonder if Cindy would have been held accountable for her part in destroying evidence? It didn't surprise me when they entered Caylee's ashes into jewelry. Look at all the necklaces and bracelets that Cindy wore. Looking back at all the videos Cindy sure loves jewelry. Casey seems to like it a lot herself. Wearing necklaces, earring, bracelets and her new nose ring. Does it still bother me? You bet it does. There should be a beautiful little girl getting ready to see fireworks while sitting on her grandpa's shoulders looking up to the beautiful display in wonderment. Instead she's in amulets/charms being twisted and touched while her Mother is off trying to play the victim star of her own imagination. I hope that she chokes on her fourth of July hotdog and I'm being nice today.

There really are no winners here. There should be no contest when it comes to writing a book. I was willing enough to go to a bookstore and read his book with a somewhat open mind, but after each media display; what I see and read, I cannot waste my time at all on backdoor lies and manipulation of the story, not even if it was given to me to use as a (LOL)doorstop. When I read some of those reviews this morning, it was pause for a good chuckle at times, stupid at others, had to shut it down after reading just a few. I could really care less about knowing about cheeseburgers and milkshakes, and down deep, I have a feeling fca is getting a share of whatever money is made.

True, the real loser in this tragedy is Caylee. She lost her life, she was used in so many lies, misplaced in so many stories, used in so many ways after death and she is somewhat put on a shelf. Most of the time she is now refered to as 'her daughter'. :notgood:

Me either. On the 4th, it'll be a family and friends get together bar-b-que and then fireworks show. I think I might just take a lavendar balloon with me and release it for Caylee.

Any reports of this pub(as in publicity?) outing yet? Didn't think so. Call me stupid, but I think I know why there was a boyfriend included in that story. There have been reports pretty consistant lately about the the octo-gal with all the children? She supposedly got herself a hunk of a new somewhat gorgeous boyfriend and you know fca, got to strive for that one upmanship.:floorlaugh:

I think someone should start a thread . . . " all the lies in JB's fictional book" - after we all borrow them from someone else who purchased the book. Maybe we should get parties together to have one person purchase the book and read to an audience of multiple people -that way JB will not make more than a few pennies (hopefully not even enough to cover the ink costs) and we can still expose him for the sham artist that he is.

Duh - that took me a while but finally found my way - a big thank you! A great find.
...and the person with that handle likes to lift stuff from here (see blog)...lol.
Their heart is in the right place. <3

JB has the right to write a book as much as anyone else. And there is no law against his book being fiction. It would be nice though if people just wouldn't take it too seriously, if they do read it. I mean, just because someone writes something doesn't mean it is a fact. So those who read it, take it for what it's worth. Which, IMO, isn't much.

I won't read JB's book and I am not at all interested in knowing what's in it. Because to me it's all just JB's opinion, and since I do not respect him I would not be able to respect his opinion on anything. So for me it would be a waste of time,in much the same way Casey Anthony (wherever she goes) will always be a waste of space.

Well I guess we can assume that any threats to KC's life are over since JB feels it's okay to write a book that rehashes all the issues that upset most of the sane people and insane people in this world in the first place. jmo

Great point!

ITA with you...and I also don't want to see him making one penny from this.

What makes you think "his friends" are writing these reviews? Some of them sound like he wrote them himself, FCA could be writing a few since she has nothing better to do with her time besides eat, and it would be pretty cheap to hire a student to pop in and out with some email identities that are pretty easy to cook up. That's my thoughts on it anyhow....:moo:

Yeah, we know that - I think it's just frustration at seeing all those lies in print and being promoted as when we "will finally understand" why FCA "obviously" didn't commit this crime. At least for me - I'm just blowing off steam.....:truce:

Heh heh - yes I saw that but nonetheless - while I'm started to feel a bit resigned to "money talks" etc., - it was nice to see someone still "loaded for bear"...as they say..
