I didnt read the book, nor did I follow on the book thread. I was so sick of JB I couldnt stand no more.

Now I wish I could find one in the trash so I can see what other lies or BS he had to say.

I didn't read the book either, but I did do a book review :great:. You can go to amazon and be bored by the first 100 pages or so for free. The rest you can pick up on here.

There is one part in the free pages that left me hanging....JB mentions something about joining a yacht club...was there anymore to that?

Casey Anthony: Prosecutor says 'foolproof suffocation' search prompted WKMG report

Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick confirmed in an email to the Orlando Sentinel that someone used the Anthony family computer to search for "foolproof suffocation" on June 16, 2008, the day Casey Anthony's father said she left the family's home with Caylee for the last time.

Burdick wrote that the Orange County Sheriff's Office has confirmed "there was a computer search on 'foolproof suffocation' on 6-16-08 that they did not find." Burdick stressed that this information "is not 'new,'" as it was already published in Baez's book months ago.

However, she confirmed that she "did not know about it before or during trial."

So this is Tony Pepitone's breaking news? If he just got this from Jose's book, he's a very slow reader.

OK folks, need to do a survey before I load up the thread. As many will recall, the last thread was closed ot with about forty photos of Cayleee that I posted (most were originally posted by Desdemona in the "light a candle for Caylee thread". I assume that this thread will be closed about eleven eastern time, and I would like to end the thread with photos again. As it will fill up threads and folsk may be yacking.....do you support that I do so again?

If I get twenty thanks on this post, I will begin to do the photos at 10 :45 pm.

Caylee is what it is all about, and photos are ...welll.....it brings her back into our focus and hearts.

The "chloraform" searches that were brought up at trial took place in March 2008 and did not include the word suffocation, but you are correct that Cindy unsuccessfully tried to take the blame for those searches.

The "fool-proof suffication" search took place on June 16, 2008, and is discussed at length starting around p. 45 of the "Anthony's Computer Forensics" thread, which I think someone bumped up not too long ago.
Can you remind me, AZ...was the search an outright search or was it connected to another search? I remember the whole suicide thingy on the computer, but it was what was deemed ineffective or something like that.

I am a little stunned and sorry I missed the fool proof suffocation search and discussion. I always viewed Casey as having been impulsive. That was jmo. This ratchets everything up to a whole different level of sadism.

People who chose to be around her should be very very afraid.

Darn - page not found - going in to find it!! Is this the same link? Sounds like the Sentinel is really scrambling and trying to discredit the story as same old same old......

The search was a Google search for "fool-proof suffication." Three results were clicked:

First result clicked (51 seconds unless the page was left open): http://www.spiked-online.com/index.p...rintable/4633/

Second result clicked (12 seconds unless the page was left open):
http://www.mdsr.ecri.org/summary/det...px?doc_id=8086

Third result clicked (15 seconds unless the page was left open):

So the way I am seeing this, so far, is that there was evidence that would have convicted Casey, Baez knew about it and the SA missed the boat on it.

Why isnt this going to blow up in the SA's face then?

Well, for me I hope the bigger story is not that the prosecution missed that search term (as they concentrated on CF, etc) but that an OFFICER OF THE COURT - knew this and tried to use it in a book to point the finger of murder right at GA.

Seems to me the latter should be the bigger story, but JMHO.

On the caseyisinnocent blog, this very same topic was being discussed on 10/29/12-the blog was dissecting a comment by an amazon reviewer of JB's book.

I thought the arguement against Casey searching for the subject was weak, but in any case the Amazon reviewer indicates that there was no presented evidence in JB's book that the search was done.

So should I assume that TP is going to be presenting physical evidence proving that the search was actually done and that the evidence of the search was in the hands of the SA?

Yeah... just call WKMG speedy, and look for them to "breaking news" announce that Obama won the election around April 2013...

That's what I say. To me this seals the deal that it was not an accident, it was not done out of rage, it was pure, cold premeditated murder. And that shakes me to the core.

I get what you are saying, for sure. I guess my response would be that this is what defense attorneys do. We know George didnt kill Caylee. Casey killed Caylee. JB knows that too. George was a scapegoat for sure.

I am concerned that the SA had it and either didnt choose to use it or missed it. Lesson learned if that is the case.

No, it isn't a ploy to impact the civil case.

There was nothing really useful in the cell phone pings, though. They did indicate that she (or her phone at least) was somewhere NEAR the house after the time that George said she had left, but not that she was AT the house. I don't think the jury would have cared much about that. She could have been parked at the school crying her eyes out about George drowning her child, for all they knew....

The computer and phone information clearly make it impossible for the Defence's claim to be true. She was either on the computer or on the phone (talking and texting) virtually every minute until GA left! The "foolproof" search and it's timing is critical but all of the info for that day, if it had been presented would have blown away the Defence's scenario.

(I understand what you are saying about the pings.)

That's a great idea although my personal preference is to see them sprinkled through the thread.

Umm and just thinking back - wasn't SOTs...Mrs. Yuri? Just asking...

Sadly, I think they missed it.

To help others who might have missed the discussion, this part of my post from July 11th, Sidebar 9 (post 57) might help. Then go to the links from AZLawyer a few posts back!

Remember this article and this line:
"On the day 2-year-old Caylee Anthony disappeared, someone in her house used the computer to run suicide-related searches, on terms including "foolproof suffocation" and "venturing into the pro-suicide pit," according to Casey Anthony's defense attorney Jose Baez. " http://abcnews.go.com/US/casey-antho...5#.T_4la5GDlac <------ lines taken from the book.

Go back to the time, when 'casey anthony' was an unknown - envision that she searched for "foolproof suffocation"
If we enter the text below, we might re-create how Casey got to the site mentioned. Think of it like an algebra problem. We have the answer (the site that was hit, and if we take out casey as that would eliminate all the current day hits and reports we can see if the words foolproof and suffocation appear!)

So we can search

venturing into the pro-suicide pit -Casey

or better still enter this:
venturing into the pro-suicide pit -Casey + foolproof suffocation
searchonsuffocation.jpg

Either search takes you to the same blog!

I think that a search for "foolproof suffocation" led to the site http://www.spiked-online.com/site/printable/4633/ and that suicide was NEVER SEARCHED. NOTE - that this site is not about how to commit suicide, but rather this bloggers torrid venture into the world of online information about how to commit suicide.

Also note, that the site is called Spiked-online, not "venturing into the pro-suicide pit. That was the title of the blog entry, or article.

AGAIN -- I think JB is spinning this UNPUBLISHED forensic report, on these supposed searches, and he is not providing them because he doesn't want it to be discovered that the search was for 'fullproof or foolproof suffocation' methods and nothing to do with suicide at all.

BBM
I didn't read the book but read the posts by those who did.
From what I remember Baez did not provide proof, in his book, about the computer search on fool-proof suffocation etc...he wrote about it and never backed it up with proof.

I agree that the June 16 timeline should have been presented in detail. The part of the timeline that was known at the time of trial was not airtight but was still not consistent with an accidental drowning followed by shock/grief at any point in the timeline--unless she went through the stages of grief faster than any known human being.

Thanks for all of the brush strokes guys. I am just trying to get from the search to the duct tape. Maybe in the end the story is the plastic bag part and the duct tape did come later.
