What jobs could Casey be doing right now? Mason will defend her not having a job by saying she is mobbed wherever she goes (if they know it is Casey) and probably will haul out video of her Tampa appearance. I would say she could be stocking shelves somewhere at night when the store is closed, but if found out, that would be mobbed with her coming and going. Then, I thought she could be a rep for places like Macey's, that lets you work at home. But then she would have access to peoples' credit cards. :notgood:

What could she do, hidden away from the public, that doesn't require a lot of education? I think she is just too dang lazy to study.

two at-home jobs that I posted in the other thread are medical coding for billing and medical transcription. they both pay very well. but you're probably right about her being too lazy to take the classes

I wish someone could ask CM why he hasn't hired her. she could work in his office after hours, or he could set her up with a work station at home

I wish someone could ask the other numerous attys on her team why they haven't hired her. there are many office tasks which don't require a degree, and a lack of experience is good sometimes because there are no bad habits to break

she could clean their offices. surely they're already paying someone to do that so it's not a new expense. many offices pay someone to tend plants and aquariums. she could clean their homes, and they could recommend her to their friends. she could house-sit and pet-sit for them when they go out of town. she could babysit for their kids/grandkids also

with so many potential clients on just her legal team, a few hours for each person would be a decent work week. all of those jobs are worth a living wage and none take place in public. her legal team gives her their highest praise at every opportunity while lamenting what a difficult time she's having with getting her life going. her working for them without incident would go a long way toward restoring her image, which concerns them to no end. it seems a no-brainer that they would step up for someone they believe in so much. Mr Greene said he told her that their relationship was like being married, and he had no problem with her playing with his tie in the courtroom where he spoke although he was not the atty of record for that proceeding

I wish there were videos of CM, Mr Greene, etc being asked why none of them have hired her. once and for all

IMO..He's encouraging her to touch him? to "play" with his, in this instance, clothing. What if she wants to re adjust his Belt? would that be okay with him as well?

Greene also said that she would make an amazing paralegal ... "better than most paralegals". First of all, what does that say about the ones working for him, and second of all, then why can't he give her a job? We all know that it's just more PR garbage, but I would love to see one of them put their money where their mouth is. If they can represent her 'out of the goodness of their hearts', (LOL) then why not hire her so she can make an honest living and pay her darn bills?

Gramcracker: I don't mean any disrespect, but are you (or have been) a medical transcriptionist? I was one for 33 years and it is extremely hard to get into that field now. Many hospitals sent their dictation over to India, leaving quite a few transcriptionists out of a job. So Casey would have to take courses and then compete with quite a few experienced transcriptionists. I would assume that maybe her lawyers could pull some strings to get her a job in that field, but it is pretty hard to do without a more experienced mentor to help. Doctors aren't that accommodating in their style of dictation (i.e. talking REALLY fast, accents, etc). I don't think this is something Casey could ever do. I've had experienced medical secretaries think they could do medical transcription, so I let them give it a try. It's not so easy.

How about legal transcription?

I am currently a medical transcriptionist. Decided to become one when I had my little one and wanted to be a work from home mommy. You are correct, medical transcription isn't what it used to be. I am making half of what I was making 6 years ago. Thank goodness I have hubby's paycheck. :great:

a former co-worker has both of those going and keeps asking me to work for her because she knows I'm at home full-time now. but the care-giving I do for family members is unpredictable and could get in the way of meeting deadlines. she says the coding packages are delivered and picked up by courier, and the transcription data is accessed by phone (but I didn't ask how it's submitted)

I analyzed transcription data after importing it (hospital) and I agree that some accents are nearly impossible, let alone the terminology

I don't know anything about legal transcription but I would guess it can be done at home

Yes, I agree watcher9 - the only ugly memories she might have from her own chldhood would be from when she didn't get her own way about something she wanted bought for her.

I also don't think she killed Caylee in a rage - I think it was cold and calculated and premeditated. Those strips of duct tape took some time to cut and place over Caylee's face. They weren't ripped or torn but carefully cut and she could have stopped at any time.

We heard during the trial that premeditation could happen in the blink of an eye.

An intentional, desired outcome. Fca was genuinely happy, relieved, and living it up after little Caylee was eliminated, like a severely sheltered school girl going to her 1st frat party...

And, imo, there's no psychological explanation/diagnosis that fits fca's behavior when you look at the totality of her "grief process", or in this case, it's the totality of the absence of any grief... Bottom line, no mother can be that happy and carry on like fca did, following the death of their child, unless they didn't care, love, or bond with their child, as fca claims was the case. Nor could they pretend to be that happy and compartmentalize in the manner they want us to believe... All lies. No way it was an accident, or ugly coping. It's just not possible, imo. I don't think you even need brain cells to know this...

Let's choose both - I'm sick of both! I always find it so irritating when professionals try to complicate a simple answer with all kinds of "what ifs". I say back - what if there are no "what ifs"? Let's keep it simple here - as HHJP said - this is not a complicated case.

I say it was not complicated also - just cold blooded murder. Her lawyers and their hired professional opinions made it complicated while they looked for avenues of escape. Not because they believed she was innocent, instead it was to promote their own career ambitions.

I agree...It is hard to get into that field now.

I work in a hospital and wanted to work in Health Records...when I went over to that department one evening and spoke with the girl working overnight I learned they only employed 2 transcriptions...Just 2! I was shocked.

It depends on Human Resource policies and requirements
The hospital I work at runs Criminal Background checks on anyone they are considering hiring, for any position.

I also had to find my original High School Diplomal...I looked at the clerk and said but I have my University Degree...that is better than an High School Diploma? right? Nope...they wanted the Original HS Diploma..no photocopies...
Then I was told WHY they changed their policies..they found out an employee lied about graduating HS and submitted a fake copy of a Diploma

I believe most employers run criminal background checks on potential hires.
IIRC there are employers who will even run a credit report...I think it depends on the nature of the business.

Know what still bothers me? And I do know that some of you think it is a mute point as I remember when it was talked about during the trial.
Caylee's father. She had a father and who was he? Did or does he know? Whenever I see her picture I always think of that. It bothers me.

I so agree w/your post. If casey was so emotionally detached that she couldn't grieve for her child (or she grieved in a way that showed great happiness instead of great sadness) then how come she was able to cry on cue during the trial? How come she was able to cry after going into the courthouse last week after walking through the media that was waiting for her? Why was she able to call 911 when protesters were throwing pennies at her parents' garage, but not during the 31 days when Caylee was missing? Why wasn't she able to compartmentalize then?

If Greene said that about casey playing w/his tie, then it's sickening. I mean it's one thing to try to defend a universally hated client and quite another to go out on the limb that casey's defense team seems to go out on for her. I just don't get it how she was able to assemble this team and why they continue to defend her and go to such ridiculous lengths? Do they not care about their own reputations following their representation of her? It truly boggles the mind.

It's not like she ever had a job-except for the short time one at Kodak running a kiosk, and her pretend one as a shot-girl manager. She had no job possibilities before she killed Caylee and she doesn't have any now.

Because you are right - she did nothing before the trial and has done nothing since to improve her chances. :furious: I just don't think people who use her inability to work are being realistic about the whole picture!

Kodak Event Imaging is hiring photographers at the Kenndy Space Center...she has experience, it's the same job she was doing at Universal....Photographer/sales associate..responsible for taking pictures, processing and trying to sell them to the visitors.
The job description doesn't even ask that the person have a HS diploma.

Who in their right mind would hire Casey Anthony? Besides that woman wants to have fun all the time. She sets no goals or sets unattainable goals. :crazy:
