about the pattern from the tile grout on Kathleen's body? I don't recall EVER reading that.
Also, why did Judge Burmilla not permit that Drew's sleeves were wet be included? It doesn't make any sense.......that was pertinent.

WCG, I don't recall reading anything about patterns to KS's wounds, and I am not sure if they were ever discussed during the trial. Not saying it wasn't brought up though either. How we here at WS are getting the information from the trial has been awesome, but perhaps there might have been some excerpts that we haven't received. Or, possibly, this information about tile grout patterns may have been testimony not allowed in by the ever so not fair Burmilla.

Great post by Rescueapet on Justice Cafe quoting Joel Brodsky:

November 1, 2009 at 9:37 pm | #182 Quote When Joel was posting on SYM, in this particular comment, he was discussing Kathleen’s death. I do not take credit for the misspellings and/or errors, thank you very much!

May 15, 2008, 5:08pm, joelbrodsky wrote: I will not deny that there are suspicious allegations such as comments by ex-wifes and pastors (even though that one is double hearsay and also inconsistent and fishy story), and the lette from Kathy to the states attorney. I can take those allegations apart one at a time and expose serious problems with each of them, BUT what really matters in a homicide case is having putting the defendant and victim togeather at the time of death. If you can’t put the victim and defendant at the same location when the victim dies, you can’t get a conviction. Thats why I am confident Drew will never be charged, because with Stacy there is no proof of a criminal act and with Kathy, even if you only believe the 2nd pathologist and discount the first one, Drew can account for where he was during the window of time Kathy died. (Please don’t ask for timelines though)

I know i got bogged down in all of Burmilla's minutia!!!! Sidebars, this admitted, this not admitted, parts of this and that admitted, poptarting,Judge leaving the bench. Never seen the likes of it:banghead: I guess that's the Defense strategy. Interrupt and confuse the Jury so they find it difficult to connect the dots. Heck i cant even remember half the dots:maddening:

I wanted to study the various autopsies performed on Kathleen to look at any differences that might be present and I did find some....just wondering if the jurors will also notice --

Michael Baden autopsy
http://www.autopsyfiles.org/reports/Other/savio, kathleen_baden_report.pdf

Dr Baden describes an injury to the right breast and right thigh

(and as testified to Baden found a diaphragm injury that the other 2 doctors did not)

Dr Blum testimony re: autopsy
http://www.acandyrose.com/2012-08-15-LarryBlum.pdf

Dr Blum decribes an injury to the left breast and left thigh

Bryan Mitchell autopsy
http://www.acandyrose.com/kathleen_savio_030104AutopsyReport.htm

Dr Mitchell notes no injury at all to either breast but does mention the injury to the left thigh

edited to add....

it is possible that whoever transcribed these made the errors

I just want to tell all you who do the amazing work on this thread, Thank you! Thank you so much.

I have been watching this case since the beginning (Stacy's too) and hope to see Drew in prison the rest of his life.

I don't post often because of a stroke I had last year and the fingers don't want to work. Unfortunately, I have been in the hospital again since Thursday with another stroke and pneumonia.

Keep me posted my friends! I wanna see this man in :jail::jail::jail::jail::jail::jail:

Aw Sooner girl! I didn't know you were in the hospital again! :tears: You are in my prayers too!

:praying:

I don't believe heresay evidence, alone, would be enough to charge someone with murder. I have never seen any no body murder charge without somekind of forensic evidence. If anyone decided to read through the cases, or do a basic reading, they'll find the one thing in common for succesful no body murder convictions is that forensic evidence which clearly proves a person death even though the body was hidden well.

I don't think LE has any forensic evidence in Stacy's case. At least none that they have revealed and certainly not enough to prove she is deceased even if her body has not been found. If they had it, they would not wait to see if he is convicted in Kathleens case or not, to charge him with a seperate murder.

When has charging anyone in one case been contingent upon the outcome of another case?

To answer your question, the arrest of Andre Sneiderman in Atlanta was contingent on the outcome of Hemy Neumans trial as a recent example for one that comes to mind.

Excellent point! I wish/hope one day they do find Stacy's remains. I think that might cement the deal. When they have a body a Jury knows a death did indeed occur. No doubt for a Defense Team to create and confuse a Jury. If DP walks on this one I pray Stacy is found and new charges are brought. I just have that tucked in the back of my mind. Just in case. Based on last summers verdict:please: I pray Kathleen gets her Justice.

Until or unless Stacey's body is found or someone who has knowledge of Stacey's death decides to talk to police, I don't believe DP will be arrested for SP's murder. They need to establish that she was, in fact, murdered, and is not merely "missing." If they had such evidence they would indict him for the murder. Hopefully they will eventually have that evidence.

re bold - I'm hoping one of the children in the house day/night MIGHT have seen or heard something and will one day come forward... :please:

There is one thing that I'm having trouble with. The hitman says that Drew offered $25k to kill Kathleen. Then - when Drew announces that Stacy has left with another man, Drew says that Stacy took $25k. Is this just a coincidence? Am I trying to make a big deal out of nothing?

I remember that!! Not much on coincidence! :fence:

respectfully snipped for space...
... I love all of you WS members.....I learn from you and you are GREAT company!

Totally agree WindyCityGirl! sometimes just watching or listen to some of these trials, things go :whoosh: over my head... :giggle: but then I come here and read up and things become more clear!

Oh - ACandyRose, Kimster suggested that you post your stuff here: (even a link to your transcripts would be good!!)

Hello fellow Websleuthers!!! I hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend.

I came across the following article on the Huffington Post regarding the jurors' clothing. It's pretty good because they look at it from several viewpoints.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mobileweb/2012/09/01/drew-peterson-trial-jury-_2_n_1849066.html

HuffPost said:
"If they came in wearing T-shirts saying `Drew's Guilty,' it'd be different," said Lisa Lopez, one of Peterson's attorneys. "I think it means they are unified about coming to a decision."

I bet if he's found guilty his appellate attorney will find a way to wrap this into his appeal.

HuffPost said:
"It's not easy to sit there in a high-profile case," Helfand said. "It's a boring, thankless task. They can be miserable or try to make the best of it. They're clearly making the best of it."Helfand said judges typically treat jurors deferentially and, even if Burmila wasn't entirely happy with the practice, he might be reluctant to rebuke them."You want your jurors to take a trial seriously but also to be happy," he said. "If they get admonished, it could kill their morale."
...

"(Jurors) know this trial is getting national attention – and I think they are trying to get in on it," said former federal prosecutor Julian Solotorovsky. "But jurors aren't supposed to be in the limelight. They're not supposed to be part of the story."
